Pickup details

Customer needs to provide their accommodation address in order to perfom hotel pickup. In case of lack of this information customer will be awaited at our meeting point at Straszewskiego 14 Street. Please consider that some of the hotels located in Kraków Old Town are in traffic restricted area and no direct pickup is available! When the transfer is made by a large bus -Mercedes Sprinter- it is unable to enter some streets. In that case we provide a pickup from closest possible pickup point. Due to large siege in Museum during several occupied months, Auschwitz Museum reserves the right to change the visiting time, therefore the pickup time is approximate and may change. The pickup for the tour starts above to choosen start time option. ⚠️ Please notice that start time may be changed due to the Auschwitz Birkenau museum decision or other circumstances beyond the control of the tour provider.

  • VISITING PACE: Please note that there are hundreds of people visiting the Auschwitz Museum every day and keeping your own pace of sightseeing is not possible.
  • DEPARTURE TIME: The starting times are tentative and may change, and departures from Krakow may take place. You are required to contact Gr8way at least 2 days before the activity starts to confirm your exact pick-up time from your accommodation.

  • LUGGAGE SIZE: Each traveller is allowed a maximum size of any baggage allowed in The Auschwitz Birkenau Museum is 30x20x10 cm. This is more or less the size of an A4 sheet. It's okay to have a small handbag or wallet with you. If your luggage is bigger, you can leave it in the locked bus parked next to the museum. Our driver will look after your luggage while you are away.
  • WEATHER: We operates in all weather conditions, during this tour, you will spend up to 70% of the time outdoors, especially during the second part at Birkenau Memorial Place. Please bring weather appropriate clothing.

  • In order to enter the Auschwitz Musuem customer must provide tour provider with full names of all participants. Otherwise customers won't be allowed to enter.
  • ID DOCUMENTS: Every visitor has to bring ID to verify. Otherwise the security might refuse enter the Musuem
  • Children must be accompanied by an adult
  • Valid student ID allows you to get a youth discount.
  • Due to Covid 19, Auschwitz Museum reserves the right to change the visiting time, therefore the pickup time is approximate and may change
  • This tour/activity will have a maximum of 30 travelers

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

  • For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
  • This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.

Pick up on time, great air conditioned mini bus, driver and guide excellent, a must for all visitors
There is a fair amount of walking involved in this so be prepared, especially on the second part of the tour.

This trip was cancelled 5.15 pm on the day before... only by text and email no one called . Some email communication followed saying I am entitled to a refund buy then I have to request it via email. Would not recommend do the tour yourself book direct with achwitz tours are available direct and get the bus

What an amazing experience. Although the original date was cancelled the trip went ahead the following day. With great communication English speaking guide was amazing. Very knowledgeable. Shame we didn’t get chance to read all the info on site as it felt a bit rushed

Excellent tour from start to finish. Our tour guide from gr8ways was chap called Daniel, who was extremely helpful and informative 10/10 Daniel.. only criticism is we paid for tour with hotel pickup only to be told day before , they couldn't pickup from our hotel. We had to go to meeting point. If we'd have known that we could have booked a cheaper ticket with same experience Everything else was excellent

Fantastic tour, the tour guide was very knowledgeable, a lot of walking so wear comfortable shoes, we booked hotel pick up but received a message that we had to go to pick up location as the bus couldn’t access the hotel, this is untrue as we had a hotel pick up the day before for the salt mines tour, the driver did sent directions to pick up and it was only one block away from our hotel but I booked hotel pick up so was disappointed with having to go to central pick up point

They agreed to a hotel pickup, and then changed the pickup point, the day before the tour. Wireless radios were provided for the Auschwitz portion of the tour, but were not available for the Birkenau portion. We were unable to hear the guide.

The tour was exactly as described. We were transported in a very comfortable bus. Our English speaking guide was so knowledgeable and answered any questions we had. Everyone should see Auschwitz for themselves. Those who don’t remember the past are destined to repeat it in the future.

Thinking I was prepared for what I would find during this tour, I was surprised at the emotions and nausea at the gas chamber and Birkenau conditions. Our tour guide was wonderful. My negative was the disengaged driver, Marcin, who did not try and converse or put himself out in any way, and too small transport van, which verged on uncomfortable for quite a distance.

The experience itself was fantastic, very knowledgeable and friendly tour guide. The transport and group size however were a let down. Due to the nature of the pick up points being at different sides of the old town what is a ten minute walk from one to the other took nearly an hour with traffic and as a result meant myself and my partner were on the bus for just short of two and a half hours before the tour began. As we arrived later than planed it felt somewhat rushed.

The only comments I have are that the microphone the guide used did not rotate with her head so every time she turned her head we couldn’t hear her talk. Tour was very fast paced with groups overlapping each other and that required us to wait for them to clear. She would also start talking at a new site before all arrived

It should be mandatory that everyone should visit this place, you can read all the books and watch all the films and programmes but they don't do it justice until you visit. Sombre but respectful

The trip itself was absolutely amazing and highly recommend. I don't recommend going with Viator. We paid for hotel pickup which was cancelled 12 hours before the trip by Viator and we'd to pay for a taxi to another meeting point decided by Viator. Also on way home we were dropped off in city centre not back at our hotel which we had paid for. Very dishonest company. Don't book through them but absolutely visit auschwitz.
