A truly educating and insightful day. Mateusz our driver was very friendly and helpful in getting us all set up for our tour. Our tour guide Sophie (Zophia) was incredible from start to finish, her knowledge was so in depth and she did so well in ensuring we really understood the horrors that occurred during the Holocaust. I would recommend this trip to anyone visiting Krakow to truly humble yourself.

Deeply sad but instructive

Interesting but quite emotional visit but important not to forget those who were there and hopefully not to reproduce in future.
Auschwitz/Birkenau visit
Paula_H, Aug 2023
Visiting Auschwitz/Birkenau with my two adult daughters was an emotional day to say the least. Nothing prepares you for the reality of how it brings home the true horror of what happened there. We felt our visit went a little way to pay our respects and honour the poor people who perished there. The trip by Viator was very well organised. Our driver Daniel was punctual, polite and courteous. The packed lunch provided was fresh and plentiful. Very good value for money and I would urge anyone who is visiting Krakow to do this trip - it’s not a joyful trip obviously but a very important one.
Bait and switch on tour pickup time, would not recommend this Operator.
Steven_C, Aug 2023
Booked a 9:00 tour, then told it was going to be a 7:00 pickup at our hotel. This was because the operator had only a 8:45 am slot at Auschwitz. Bait and switch. I would have booked a later time with someone else if they had been honest with the actual time. Then crammed with my daughter into the front seat and a half of a Renault minivan. Very uncomfortable for a 1.5 hour ride. Very hot day (32C) but the driver never asked if everyone was comfortable with the temperature in the vehicle. Would have been better off saving money and just booking a larger tour without hotel pickup. I booked a lunchbox as an addon with the tour, which was quite ok but we were able only given about 10 minutes to eat (at about 10:30 am, because the start time was so early) so it was basically also a waste. The actual tour of Auschwitz (led by an official Auschwitz guide, not the tour Operator) was very good, if a bit rushed. No time given to stop and reflect on what one is seeing, just move on to the next exhibit.
I definitely recommend this trip to everyone who has the chance to do it.

Visiting this place was in my bucket list for a long time. I wanted to do it with my kids , so it was a dream that came true.
Good experience

Very reverent experience hotel transfer was very efficient guide was excellent would recommend this tour
Chaotic start but good tour overall
Brian_C, Jul 2023
Only gave 3 stars due to the following. Booked the trip for 0900 with hotel pick-up. Recieved email the evening before stating pick-up would be 0750. Waited at 0750 but pick-up minibus did not arrive until 0830. Once at the tour site the ticket allocation was a bit chaotic and involved another wait of around 10-15 minutes. The tour thereafter was excellent.
Complaint about the trip
Yahavyakov_P, Jul 2023
The driver was very nice, but the guide was terrible. Everything was very quick when we were on the first camp- Auschwitz. At the second camp- Birkenau she just show us one place and didn't continue to other places. It was only half and hour and we saw only one place. She said that it's because too hot. I am jewish and came from israel and this was the first experience for me that was very important to see it, and it was terrible because the guide. I think the trip doesn't worth the money, and i would like to get a refund.
Thought provoking and emotional

Very informative. Lots to be learnt. Problem with microphones at the start but guide was very quick to sort it out.
A emotional trip to learn of our darkest days of history
Paul_H, Jul 2023
An excellent emotional tour gaining an excellent insight into how these people suffered, we're lied to and treated. It's about a 1:30 drive from Krakow. Split over two sights you learn the history from the very beginning of how these camps became about until their libation. Liona was an very passionate guide, full of knowledge conveying the true story. You could quite often see in Liona face and while she was speaking of the events that she still felt emotionally connections to the past.
The visit deserves better guides.
Ibon_Z, Jul 2023
Logistics were fantastic. Driver very punctual and the lunch box was very much appreciated. The guide was bad. Her English was very difficult to understand. She partially spoiled the visit.
Auschwitz I & Birkenau Tour
Milton_C, Jul 2023
The company coordinated with me as per the ad on the day prior to the trip to confirm the pickup location and time. The driver promptly showed up at the designated time and drove us to Auschwitz I. A guide and English translator walked us through camp one explaining several historical facts, many of which were new to me as well as validating information I'd heard previously. After the first camp we had a short break and then drove to Birkenau for the second portion of our tour. The tour was run professionally and the guide was very knowledgeable. I had zero issues during any portion of our tour and would fully recommend this experience for anyone going to Auschwitz for the first time.
Good tour

Wax a good guided your was just disappointing that they changed our pickup time to 6.20am from 9am?!
Convenient pick up to ease, poor guided your
stephen_j, Jun 2023
We were picked up right outside our accommodation in the old town and the driver was prompt and the 8 seater was clean and cool. He made contact via what's app the night before, offered lunch for €11 and all was as described. The guide however, I found poor, though I do think it may have been her first day as she had a guide in Polish guiding her so we can all allow for a learning process, it's seems quite cut throat amongst guides there due to the timeframe allowed to visit and the large groups in front and behind. To be honest the standard of English was ok, but not good enough to lead a large group in depth. I have a degree in history so I assumed there would be more in depth knowledge being offered but important points were glossed over and the functions of different parts of the camp and points of interest were missed. For instance the use of zyclone b in the chambers wasn't fully explained in relation to the actual process of how it was administered and Dr mendels role was quickly spoken about, but little further detail was given. It was more of a organised stroll through the camps with points of interest to look quickly and then on to the next. I accept now that all visitors have two hours on one camp and 1 in the second and you must join a guided tour for €20 regardless, but I do think a bette detailed tour could be offered. I actually took off my ear phones as I was getting bored by the basic points. We do appreciate the time and effort though, but I feel it's important to leave an honest review for others.

Dear Stephan, Thank you for yours rewiev. We will check who your guide was and we are unlikely to use his services again. Damian
Rushed and very crowded visit
AnneMarie_B, Apr 2023
The guide Joanna did her best in the circumstances but the trip was terribly crowded due to the week we went. Felt really herded round with no time to stop and really appreciate the exhibits. As this was my third trip to Auschwitz, I really noticed the difference. NO hotel pick up or drop off despite this being advertised. Told the evening before that we had to make our own way to the pick-up point three streets away which was added walking and stress for someone with limited mobility. Tour was advertised as wheelchair accessible which was why we picked it but there were a lot of stairs with no handrail to help on some flights.

Make your own way there
Sarah_S, Apr 2023
We were meant to be collected from our hotel at 9am we got a text the night before saying we had to meet at 11 at a bus stop 20 mins from our hotel. We were collected and half an hour later we were back at our meeting point as a couple had arrived late so we went back for them. We were not told this was happening. The actual tour and our guide were very informative
