    Great trip
    Helen_B, Sep 2023
Very worthwhile trip. Very educational but poignant. The salt mines were mind blowing! Our tour guides in both sites were great and Justina, our guide on the transfers was excellent. She went above and beyond to make our trip easy and comfortable. We had order lunch which wasn't provided but we asked her about it and she sorted it with ease.
    Response from Host, Sep 2023
We are very glad to know that thanks to Justyna's efforts you have enjoyed the trip despite it's combined length and the complication with lunch. We will make sure to let her know she did an outstanding job. Thank you very much for your feedback and review. Kind regards Andrew AT Cracow

Tour was very good, definitely recommend doing both sites in one day for those with limited time in Kraków. Guides and drivers were really helpful and knowledgeable.

    Thought-Provoking Day
    Wendy_O, Sep 2023
After a shaky start (delayed due to road closures in Krakow causing coach to pick us up very late) we eventually got to Auschwitz 1 - again had a long wait here (because we'd missed our slot) but once we got going everything else was smooth sailing. Eye opening tour of Auschwitz 1 & Birkenau (Auschwitz 2), educational guide - informative & appropriately subdued. Smooth transitions between each with not too much hanging around - greatly appreciated. Then onto Salt Mines (driving back through Krakow to drop some people off), only a short wait here - nicely timed for toilet/refreshment stop but not too long before we entered the mine. Interesting sculptures & insight into history of Krakow before WW11 - fascinating place. Would recommend taking your own food & drink (enough to see you through the day) - plenty of time to eat on coach between sights & this enables you to move on to sights smoothly & promptly. There's not a lot around at either Auschwitz or salt mines other than a snack shop & gift shop at each.
    Response from Host, Sep 2023
We are very happy to hear that you enjoyed the combined trip to the fullest despite the rough shaky start and the combined duration that might be too long for some people. Thank you very much for you highly detailed review and feedback. Kind regards Andrew AT Cracow
Good choice for a combined trip
    Maria_R, Aug 2023
Great trip if you wish to combine both sites in one day. Guides at both locations were excellent. Only hiccup was lunch not available per our booking though this was sorted out after some frantic phone calls by the poor tour rep. Mini bus on first leg was very cramped for an hour and a half drive. Coach in the afternoon was fine. Very good value for money.
    Response from Host, Sep 2023
We're very sorry for the lunchbox mixup, but it's good to know that you enjoyed the combined trip despite that inconvenience and length. Thank you very much for your feedback. Kind regards Andrew AT Cracow
    Long day but worth it
    Maria_F, Aug 2023
The salt mine was amazing so was the tour guide. On the second half of the Auschwitz tour(concentration camp), the tour guide did not have the microphone and it was very difficult to hear and understand her. It was a long day with both tours combined. My recommendation is to do Auschwitz on one day and the salt mine the next day. Krakow is worth the visit.
    Response from Host, Sep 2023
We're sorry to hear that you had troubles during the Auschwitz Museum visit. The audio equipment is provided by the museum itself. We will try to pass your feedback to them. Kind regards Andrew AT Cracow
A must do experience when in Krakow
    Rachel_W, Aug 2023
This was an interesting experience the tour guides were fantastic with a great weath on knowledge whilst remaining sensitive. The tour was well ran and informative. The salt mines were much better than I was expecting: it was fascinating to see all the cavings made by the miners. I would definitely recommend these tours
    Response from Host, Sep 2023

    Prompt and well organised.
    Francesca_T, Jul 2023
Incredible day from start to finish. Excellent communication pre-trip on pick-up times and location. Prompt coach journey with a friendly guide, giving us all clear instructions and a rundown of the days itinerary. The tour guide who took us around Auschwitz-Birkenau was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and was happy to answer questions and really went that extra mile to ensure we got the most out of the day. Again, back on the coach to the salt mines we got another full rundown of times, how long we would be and what time we would be back at Krakow. Prompt, well-organised and such great detail and passion with all tour guides. I would defiantly recommend this trip to friends and book other trips with Viator in the future.

Disappointing start but a good day
    Joanna_T, Jul 2023
Disappointing start to the trip - the Auschwitz tour was rushed and we were not allowed to enter certain buildings. Birkenau was great but the free time after this should have been had in Auschwitz instead. Salt mines were fantastic. A good day but needed longer in Auschwitz rather than Birkenau
    Auschwitz guides are garbage
    Ashley_F, Jul 2023
The guides at Auschwitz were awful. They would shove you through as fast as possible, be on your heels by another group, and they were just plain awful to deal with. I told my guide her microphone on her lanyard was cutting out when she spoke. She snapped at me and instead of moving it she just continued talking. I missed a lot of history and they really ruined a lot of my one and only experience here.
    Nice
    Oscar_C, Jun 2023
A nice trip - very convenient to travel to two important tourist spots on the same day. A must try tour for anyone visiting krakow.

    Worth seeing!
    Arlene_S, Jun 2023
Auschwitz was emotional as expected. Birkenau was unnecessary except for the barracks. Our guide pointed out what was never built, or what was often way in the distance. After all the walking through Auschwitz we were drained, even our youngest member aged 34. The Salt Mine is a fantastic commentary on skills of ages past and those who worked tremendous magic with their hands below ground and using salt as their “medium”. Amazing and important to do after Auschwitz as it livens everyone up. The bus travel was not delightful. Seats too short for anyone taller than 5 feet. The tour guide however was very friendly!
    Not my favorite tour.
    David_H, Jun 2023
Once we started the tour it wasn’t too bad. The negative part of our experience was lack of communication. Every time we did something it was vague as far as how a large group would get back together for transportation. There were two vehicles to carry everyone so it was a fairly large group. We had an English tour but it was difficult to understand because of static in the headphones. You really had to stand within a few feet to prevent this. Overall I’d say a smaller group would have made a difference because if you were towards the back of the group you may be down a stairwell while the guide is talking about pictures in a different area. The place itself is so historical that I had my expectations high to learn more about the area but really didn’t learn very much.
    Response from Host, Jul 2023
Dear David, Thank you for your factual opinion. We have no influence on the audio equipment in the Museum, but communication can sometimes be difficult due to the layout of the rooms and the number of people in the group - it is usually a maximum of 30 people with one guide. It is possible to order a tour with a private guide, which certainly solves the above-mentioned problems. Kind regards, Kinga AT Cracow
    Brilliant experience
    Tia_D, Jun 2023
Very good experience. A very long day so be prepared to be on the go all day, left at 6.30am and finished back in Krakow around 6.30/7pm that evening.
    Response from Host, Jul 2023
Dear Tia, We're glad to hear that you enjoyed the trip. We confirm that this is long day tour. Your feedback means a lot to us. Thank you very much. Kind regards Andrew AT Cracow
If I wanted to wait in the queue, I would not have booked a tour!
    A_Y, Jun 2023
The entire excursion felt very disorganized and unplanned. We did not know what time we would be picked up until night before. We were hugely delayed at our salt mine excursion. Had to wait 1 hr to be queued in and then the guide was delayed by 45mins due to poor communication. our guide did not provide any updates & was not available until the guide showed up!
    Response from Host, Jul 2023
Hello, We're very sorry for the delays and confusion. We will note the issues that occured on your trip and make effort so they don't happen again. Thank you for giving us your feedback. Kind regards Andrew AT Cracow
    Vastness defies description
    Kathy_W, Jun 2023
Auschwitz-Birkenau defies all explanation in words. The experience of being there and contemplating what happened there is one that will take a long time to fully process, but is so important for all of us, so that history cannot repeat itself. The vastness of the "operation" is astounding. In the afternoon, the salt mine tour was breathtaking in its grandeur. The chandeliers alone were almost unbelievable and the carvings from salt were so numerous and wonderful variety from deeply religious to patriotic to simply fun and cute. Here again the extent of the mines and the tremendous spaces are amazing. Photographs can't do the cathedral-like spaces justice.
    Response from Host, Jul 2023
Dear Kathy, We are that it is important to remember the dark parts of history, that's why we're happy to know that our tour allowed you to learn more about it. We hope that the Salt Mine afterwards helped you improve your mood so the trip would not be completely negative. Your feedback matters a lot to our team. Kind regards, Andrew AT Cracow
A must see to keep memory alive
    Miryam_S, Jun 2023
The tour is definitely worth every penny. The only reason I haven’t attached pictures is out of respect for the somber attitude I believe everyone should have in regards. This for me was a very intimate experience and not an Instagram moment so I hope you will understand the lack of photos. That being said Justina was amazing. Such a great girl. Definitely recommend
    Response from Host, Jun 2023
Thank you for your review! We appreciate your understanding and respect for the somber atmosphere. Justina is indeed an amazing tour leader, and we're glad you had an intimate experience. Kind regards, Kinga AT Cracow
    Amazing trip! Great guide

Salt mines were beautiful and so interesting. Auschwitz was harrowing and sad but we were really glad we visited. Our guide Justina was really knowledgeable and very helpful. She ensured everything ran smoothly. I would definitely recommend this trip. It makes for a busy day but is so worth it!
