Regardless of whether you have chosen the pick-up option or the main meeting point, you will be dropped off at the end of the tour to the center of Krakow at 2 Wielopole Street.

Pickup details

Pickup is offered from a wide list of hotels/apartments/hostels in Krakow. If you have not found your hotel on this list - come to the main meeting point (located in the city center) or consult with us about the possibility of taking you from another convenient place after booking. If You are group more than 4 persons - we will come to you even if Your Hotel is out side of our pick-up area range, in Krakow. Customers will receive a message with the exact departure time until 7 pm on the day before the activity. We kindly ask that guests wait outside, in front of the entrance 5 minutes before departure. The driver will wait no longer than 15 minutes after the specified departure time. Regardless of whether you have chosen the pick-up option or the main meeting point, you will be dropped off at the end of the tour to the center of Krakow at 2 Wielopole Street.

Wear comfortable shoes as quite a lot of walking on uneven and dusty ground.

It's a full day out and does involve a lot of walking on dirt and gravel paths so would not really recommend for anyone with walking disabilities.

There is lots of walking so be prepared - need to stay close to guide or you miss information.

Auschwitz /Birkenau great tour!

An extremely moving experience and very interesting. Knowledgeable guide who was very informative. I didn’t take photos as I didn’t feel it was appropriate to do so.

Abandoned by bad bus driver

The tour of Auschwitz was excellent. However the day was spoilt by not being dropped back near our hotel. The driver told us our hotel was just down a short road from where he dropped us. It was 25 minutes walk and we had trouble finding our way back. Oh and the driver also got stopped by the police for speeding. I would have given the tour 5 * but for this. I tried to email Viator before posting this but every email address I had got rejected .

Great once in a life time experience

Pick up was on time and the driver was very polite. Interesting tour, very informative. Our guide was very knowledgeable. It did include quite a lot of walking. I don't think it was as accessible to people with a disability as you would think. There was a couple on crutches with us that kept getting a little left behind. They would catch up eventually and the guide waited while they did. But think it would have been a little easier on them if they had a 5 to 10 minute reprieve in between instead of the guide continuing as soon as they reached us. The ground in many places was very uneven and there was quite a bit of stair climbing involved. It was what I expected as an able bodied person but I don't think it was made clear enough in the description for non able bodied people.

The tour guide was wonderful. She was informative and passionate and so invested in the tour. When she found out we had family that we were trying to find out about, she came over and looked at our papers and gave me some information based on what she read. She also gave me an email address to co tact others who might know more. I am so very grateful to her.

Driver took on extra fare

After a lengthy tour in the heat which was really good we were told we had a 30 minute break before returning to Krakow. As soon as we ordered a drink the coach driver was rushing us along to get back in the bus. It became apparent that he had taken an extra fare from someone that did not travel on the tour with us. The extra fair was to the airport and meant we did not get our break after an exhausting tour in the heat due to the flight departure time. The airport was not on our route back to Krakow and we we held up in lots traffic. The journey time back to Krakow took an hour more than it should have. As a consequence we were very unhappy.

Pick up at our apartment by minibus. Jakub, the driver, was friendly and professional and made sure we kneww where to meet and at what time after each stop. Auschwitz is something you have to see to even try and comprehend what has happened there, truly harrowing. Same for Birkenau of course but different as it’s a large open space with fewer visual triggers, let’s say. Our guide Anna told the stories really well. You were given an audio device and headset so she did not have to shout and everyone could hear her. I felt there was enough time spent everywhere to take it all in. I have to say that it was well organised inside bothe places so you did not have all sorts of groups walking through each other etc. Definitely worth it!

A visit to Hell

We have all seen the movies/documentaries and read the books but nothing prepares you for the reality and scale of this horror. Our guide Anna was incredibly informative and compassionate, she told us about individual acts of bravery and heroism with such pride. Its a very sombre place and I personally felt intrusive taking photos. There is alot of greenery and trees around and in the camps, which surrounded by the barbed wire and sentry posts makes its stark reality more poignant. It's a place that should be visited however difficult you find it. It was a very very warm day when we visited and Anna told us the prisoners had to stand sometimes for 20hrs in the yard without food or water. I find it very difficult to process the level of cruelty that was inflicted on so many people for so long. Lest we never forget.

This was so easy to visit such a memorable and important place. The bus arrived in time and was extremely comfortable. They let us know two days before what time pick up was and our driver text the day before to confirm and ask if we wanted lunch (which were brilliant for their price) Everything was easy and the tour itself give us enough inside for a guided tour. Can not fault this trip and would defiantly boon it again.

Go to Auschwitz, absolutely, but get a better driver.

The tour of Auschwitz was amazing. Our guide was great. But the drive there and back could have just as easily been a bus ride. Our driver did not converse or point out any items of interest or try to start conversation at all. It was disappointing.
