  • Kayak weight limit is 425 lbs
  • Once you have purchased your voucher, please contact suppliers booking office directly at the number on your voucher to confirm the reservation. Failure to do so may result in not being able to participate in activity

Please if you get seasick do not eat or drink anything heavy before you go kayaking!!
Difficult to hear information once out at sea, maybe an idea to group together and hold kayak as a group when talking.

It was a sunny March day in LaJolla, which we were thankful for, but didn’t realize that the ocean conditions would be less than optimal for actually kayaking to the sea caves. We did enjoy the thrill of kayaking in some fairly significant swells and surfing in on the return but it wasn’t safe to see the caves. Our guides were great, learned a number of land and sea bits about the area. Guess we’ll have to consult the tides next time.

We were under the impression all tours went into the caves, which we did not. The website said it was weather dependent and the weather was great. Additionally, our guide stated it was his first tour and he wasn’t certified to enter the caves. We paid for a cave tour.

Amazing time kayaking. Our guide Cali was knowledgeable and charismatic. The ocean was favourable and we were able to enter one of the caves. We saw wildlife such as common dolphins and pelicans.

This was the first time my husband and I had ever been kayaking, and it was such a great experience! Our guide, Phil, was knowledgeable and had a dry sense of humor, which we loved! We were able to see both dolphins and sea lions on our tour, and kayaking into Emerald Cave was just the cherry on top!

This was our first kayaking experince and we enjoyed a lot. Jack was our guide and he was great. We felt safe. The view was wonderful. We spotted few tiger sharks, bat rays, the kelp forest was great, the sea lions near the cove area were fun to watch and listen to from a distance. Loved this tour and I'd recommend it to others too.

We had the tour with Roy and Jack. We felt very safe even though it was our first time on a kayak, we got to see the coves plus some Leopard Sharks and dolphins. Highly recommend!

Ian and Liam were our guides. They were great! They helped us feel at ease with kayaking on the ocean and had alot of good history, stories to share about the wildlife, the sea lions in the caves, the scenery, and surrounding area. Thanks for a great kayaking experience! We loved it!
Amazing and unique experience

We saw so much wildlife! We saw a pod of dolphins for about 15 minutes swim near us. The sea lions were really showing off on and outside of the caves! There was a whale in the distance also! Our guide-Tucker was fantastic! He was so knowledgeable of the area and really made sure we have the most thrilling experience- he was very aware of his surroundings and kept us super interested and safe :)

Matthew and Violet were AMAZING ! Shared the basics in safety out in the water and were very friendly! Only reason I gave 4 out of 5 stars is cause the other tour company delayed our cave experience. I expected a better cave tour rather than a swim in and out in a matter of 3 mins. BUT WOULD STILL RECOMMEND FOR THE EXPERIENCE !!

We arrived early due to challenging parking availability but it was worth getting there early. Phil M. was our guide and we highly recommend him. He made the experience awesome with his rich history and knowledge of the La Jolla Caves, the cliffs, the Bay, and ecosystem! If it wasn’t for Phil M. , we would only gave it a three star because the previous guide was late and we had to wait around 30 minutes , but Phil M saved the time problem with his awesome energy and experience and our group was super cool!

We booked 1:30 excursion. When we got to the kayaks we were told Viator changed the time to 1:00pm. We arrived 1:10 and were told they left and it was too bad. They were booked. Waiting on a refund.

First there were way too many kayaks out in the cave area (so many tour companies in the area and they all have about 15 kayaks out there at once). There was a lot of time spent sitting waiting for others to catch up. Meanwhile the guides tell lots of stories about the mayor, sandstone, etc and you are drifting into areas where you aren’t supposed to be. They keep telling you where to go but then you get there and drift again while waiting 10 minutes for others in your group. We only went in one cave and we were in it for literally 1 minute.
