A single van is used for up to seven people. For groups over seven people two Mercedes vans are used. A single guide is used for each individual group regardless of the number of people.
Our office will purchase your Colosseum and Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica skip-the-line tickets. Your tour guide will have your tickets. You'll pay the tickets only cash directly to your guide.
Due to the high demand for tickets, availability to visit the Colosseum and Vatican Museums will only be confirmed once the tour has been booked. In case of lack of tickets it will still be possible to take the tour but with other destinations.

I would absolutely recommend this trip without hesitation, especially if you have a tight schedule, younger children, or just appreciate getting the VIP treatment.

It was very hot the day we were in Rome and it was great not to have to walk in the blazing sun to get to all the attractions.

Everything we could have wished for

Our guide, Valentina, and driver, Marco, made us feel like the most important guests ever. We took the tour the day of our cruise disembarkation and got to see everything in Rome with such interesting information provided at each site and all of our questions answered. At the end of the day we were dropped off with our bags off at our hotel. We couldn’t have asked for more! Also, our daughter has celiac disease and Marco arranged for us to have lunch at a restaurant that was wonderful (seriously amazing pizza!) and celiac disease capable. It was a perfect day in Rome thanks to these two amazing people. Highly, Highly recommend.

It was probably our best tour ever. Marco, our driver went above and beyond. He went out of his way to accommodate. We were able to see everything and much more than we expected. Our tour guide was the best ever. Very bubbly and outgoing. She was so knowledgable on every topic. My Grandsons appreciated things that I never thought they would care about. Can’t stop talking about it.

This tour was worth every penny! We got off the cruise ship and the driver was waiting for us. After loading all our luggage we went to the Parthenon, a gorgeous church, the Spanish steps, the colosseum and the Trevi fountain - ALL BEFORE LUNCH! Then we had an amazing lunch at a restaurant that included appetizer, pizza, pasta, wine and dessert. After lunch we went to the Vatican and saw the museums, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica before being dropped off at our hotel. All of this with both a driver and an extremely knowledgeable tour guide with us the entire day. It was really incredible! I can't recommend this tour highly enough - especially if you only have one day in Rome like we did.

Very knowledgeable guide and jumping the lines is a Must; even in "off-season", the lines were incredibly long - we walked right up to the front each time. However, our time at the Vatican was way too short, we literally rushed through St. Paul's in les than 10 minutes and had no time to observe & ask questions.

With Sergio as our excellent driver and Bea as our wonderful guide, we had a terrific day in Rome. We started at 7:30 when Sergio picked us up ship side and finished at 4:30 when we were delivered back to the ship. We did stop for lunch after touring the Parthenon and Colosseum and then continued on the Vatican. This is a long day and requires quite a bit of walking. My husband, who is not much of a walker was beyond exhausted at the end of the day. the tour was very informative.

My family and I (husband and 2 sons ages 11 and 15 and mother in law in a wheelchair) had a perfect day with our tour team of Sergio and Alessandra. Sergio, the driver, arrived right on time and the Mercedes van was clean and air conditioned. He was pleasant and friendly and very informative. Alessandra, the guide, was incredible. THE best guide in Rome!!! She has so much historical knowledge and education that she brings to the tour. They worked so well together. Alessandra would show us around and tell us everything we needed to know about whatever we were looking at, and answer all our questions. Then she would call Sergio and within moments he was there to pick us up!!! I cannot say enough good things about them. They were so helpful and caring with my elderly mother in law as well. Don’t hesitate to book this - best money that we spent on our cruise. Rome was by far our favorite port - and it is entirely because of Sergio and Alessandra! Grazie!!!!

The Very Best Way to See Rome

We were extremely pleased with our tour guide Francesca and our driver, Santino. It was hot and crowded everywhere, but Francesca was a PRO at keeping us on the move. We had barely enough time to see everything and I was concerned that I may have scheduled too many stops in too few hours, but we saw everything on our list and made it back to our ship in plenty of time. 3 of the Disney bus excursions into Rome were HOURS late getting back to the ship, so we really appreciated that we were safely delivered on time (in spite of the traffic that held up the busses) and did not have to stress about missing the all aboard time. Francesca and Santino worked perfectly as a team, and Santino was always right there waiting for us when we were finished sightseeing. Francesca was infinitely knowledgeable, and I considered having a bilingual guide invaluable, as she was able to speak to us fluently in English and also handle every situation we encountered with her native Italian. Beyond that, she is colorful and entertaining. She's also a mom, so she was not at all put out by my whining 9, and 12-year-olds or my disinterested 14 and 17-year-olds. I would absolutely recommend this trip without hesitation, especially if you have a tight schedule, younger children, or just appreciate getting the VIP treatment.

Our tour guide Nicola and driver Daniel were excellent! This was an amazing day that was so worth the money. It was about the same price as the excursion that the cruise had available, but we had a private tour guide and a driver that picked us up and dropped us off right at the door of all the attractions. It was very hot the day we were in Rome and it was great not to have to walk in the blazing sun to get to all the attractions. Nicola was very knowledgeable and kept us moving along so we could see everything, while giving us lots of interesting information. Definitely one of the highlights of the trip.

We had the best experience with this tour! Gabriele met us as we disembarked our ship and whisked us off to Rome. He was knowledgeable and funny. Our kids loved him! We met up with our guide, Eugene at the Pantheon. He is the best guide in the area. He has a master’s degree in archeology and his excitement for all things Rome is contagious! Eugene is also an excellent photographer as he captured many of our memories for us.

Exceptional Tour

The whole experience was excellent, from the beginning to the end. The tour company sent a confirmation shortly after reservation, as well as several updates. The driver, Stefano, was waiting at the terminal, sharply dressed. He drove us through some impressive Roman street traffic in a MB Vito van. He got everywhere on time and he always arrived to pick us up within a couple of minutes. He kept the schedule like a Swiss or Japanese train. Thankfully he is also “born and raised in Rome” so he told us about the “magic door” and the actual pyramid of Rome. Not a joke, a real pyramid like the Egyptian ones. The tour guide was Lia and she was absolutely phenomenal. She was sharp, funny, connected wonderfully with our 10 year-old boy and enthusiastically guided us while never being overwhelming. As an example, she has an iPad with information and numerous images of every place we visited and even of some that we just wanted to know more about. The knowledge she has of the history, places and people of Rome, from the ancient to the modern time is nothing short of encyclopedic. We visited the Pantheon, Colosseum, Trevi fountain , Sistine Chapel and St Peter’s Basilica. We also learned about other Roman historical places as we drove by. We had skip the line tickets everywhere. The lunch was a light but well prepared and filling €25 fixed price three course meal. Overall, I cannot imagine a better way to visit Rome in a single day. Very thankful to Lia and Stefano, they deserve the highest praise.

We had the most amazing tour of Rome with our driver Sergio and guide Alesandra. We were able to tour all the highlights of Rome without waiting in lines or feeling overwhelmed by crowds thanks to their expertise. Our guide provided interesting insight to all the sites we visited. She even arranged a delicious lunch near the Vatican for our group. Only Way To See Rome

My husband and I were looking for a tour that would give us a large overview of the sights in Rome and we found a great one. This tour was excellent! We were able to squeeze the crowds and get to see so many more things than we would have in a group setting. We got to try incredible Italian food and gelato, a 10/10 experience. What an amazing tour we had! Stefano picked us up at the port and took us to the city center to pickup and meet our awesome tour guide Alessandra. We visited all the places we wanted to see and a couple of places we had not planned. Words cannot express how amazing Alessandra and Stefano were. Alessandra’s knowledge and expertise were outstanding. We did so much and we got back to our ship with two hours to spare. I will definitely book and request them on my next visit to Rome. Our tour was fantastic! Our guide was very knowledgeable and planned a great trip for us. When I come back to Rome, I will definitely book this tour again and request the same guide. Rome is impossible to explore in a day on a cruise that is 1.5 hours away, but this tour allows you to see all the highlights of Rome. Our tour was amazing and the lunch was the best meal of our trip. We will definitely be revisiting and booking. Also we were often told that it was a great time of year to be visiting because there were no long lines.

This tour was the" highlight" of our whole vacation! It was breathtaking. Our guide was the best of the best. She was so knowledgeable about the history and took the time to explain everything we were seeing. Thousands of people in line and we walked right to the front. Our driver also was fantastic, taking us through the narrow but full of life streets of the city of Rome. We asked them to take us for the best pizza in Rome for our lunch and the best Gelato to help make our trip to Rome complete. I can only say we had the BEST of the BEST and recommend to everyone this is the only way to see ROME! Well worth the money! Thank you for making our last day the most enjoyable and memorable! We chose this tour because we wanted to see as much of Rome in a day as we could -- and we succeeded! We were met by our driver right off the cruise ship and made our way to Rome. Our driver was wonderful -- knew all the roads and spoke wonderful English. We met our guide, Alessandra, at the Pantheon. We can't say enough wonderful things about our guide: knowledgeable, fun, knew everyone in Rome -- she simply made everything feel really accessible in such an overwhelming city. Our driver & guide were a great team. The skip the line tickets for the Vatican Museum & the Colosseum are priceless. We also managed to have a wonderful pasta lunch. We booked the VIP Tour of Rome through Viator based on recommendation received from previous cruiser. We were so thrilled with the tour from the moment we were picked up at the cruise ship port to the drop-off at the end of the day. Our Tour Bus driver Nick was fantastic, he wisked us away quickly at 7:30am to get a start on the roads to Rome to avoid traffic. He provide d very helpful information throughout the day and was always finding the fastest route to our next stop while navigating the crowded and narrow streets of Rome. Once we arrived in Rome, we picked up out Tour Guide for the day - Franchesca, she was simply amazing! She was so knowledgeable and attentive to our group's needs to make the most of our day long trip exploring Rome. A special moment was when Franchesa directed us over to a priest she knew for a special family blessing in the Sistine Chapel. This is an excellent tour if you need to see Rome in a day. We were picked up at the port and made our way to Rome where our guide joined us. Out guide is an archeologist and knew everything there was to know about Rome. We started at the Pantheon and visited the various fountains, Trevi included. She kept us on time and communicated with our driver to pick us up in various places in Rome. We went right into the Colisseum and the Vatican. Our driver suggested a great restaurant for lunch and our guide and driver joined us at our request. This was a day we will never forget! Thank you Elisa for an excellent tour!
