What an amazing day at Lake Como. We were hosted by Violetta in a small group of 8 and she was extremely knowledgeable on the area and made the trip so smooth for everyone. The ferry system on Lake Como can be a bit challenging but Violetta managed to escort us through everything without a hitch. The combination of Villa Balbianello and Bellagio was the perfect day for us.

Violetta was amazingly knowledgeable and very friendly. She talked all about the history of Como, Bellagio, and the villas while also engaging us in conversation! It is very impressive to have such a well-organized tour that was so long.
I couldn't imagine seeing Como without her guiding, as she was able to maneuver us to the front of lines that would have taken hours out of our days! It was very helpful having an experienced local leading the way!
She's also an expert photographer, as she captured great pics of me proposing to my girlfriend!

This excursion definitely lived up to the hype. And it was made all the more memorable because of our fantastic guide, Violetta. She’s a 100 lb dynamo that kept our group moving along (very politely) and then got us to the front of the lines when we got on the boats, etc. This was a pricey trip that did not include the $100 USD for boat tickets and villa entry tickets (for 2), but I’m a firm believer of you get what you pay for, and Violetta’s knowledge and passion for Lake Como area were exceptional. It is a long day so be prepared for a lot of walking (6-7 miles approx) according to my watch. By the time we got to Bellagio for a late lunch, we were all ready for a break. To make the trip even more special, we could not have asked for better travel/group mates. I felt like I had made 6 new best friends by the end of the day. I highly recommend finding the money in your budget to make this happen.
As an added bonus, when we returned to Como around 7pm, we took the funicular to the top of the hill, just past sunset. I cannot describe how beautiful it was. We had a glass of wine, walked around a bit and then caught a late train back to our hotel in Lugano. We were exhausted and so very happy with how this special day happened.

Violetta was absolutely perfect, she knew every fact about the landscape and architecture as well as the history of the lake and towns. She gave us enough time to really take in each moment and enjoy it, even down to the incredible lunch we had (highly recommend the risotto with the local fish) and she recommended the incredible silk shop Azaleas in Bellagio. I couldn’t believe how reasonable the prices were and how high quality that silk was (stunning and worth every cent). We are 100% bringing back our family to do another tour with Violetta!! :)

Great tour! Highly recommended !
Our tour guide Violeta was absolutely amazing! She took a great care of our group of 5 . Very knowledgeable, professional and fun lady. No staying in long lines, fast boat. She even organized our ride back after Uber didn’t pick us up. Thank you Violeta ! We really enjoyed this trip and your company!

The stop for gelato. Thank you. The lunch was delicious also. Pleasant time but the climb broke us. The tour guide was very pleasant.
