What To Expect

Meet your guide between 7am and 8am at selected pickup points in the Lake Garda area and a seat in your air-conditioned coach. Then, head into the Dolomites — widely considered among Italy’s most beautiful mountain range — to begin your 11-hour tour.

Stop at traditional mountain towns such as Moena or Cavalese, and enjoy free time to browse the boutiques and craft shops at your leisure.

Afterward, head deeper into the Dolomites to the Pordoi pass and reach altitudes of up to 7,300 feet (2,240m). Admire panoramic views over mighty peaks including Catinaccio, Marmolada, and Sella, and capture the scenery on camera.

Following free time for lunch (own expense), continue on to the traditional resort town of Ortisei — famous for its intricate wood-carvings. Admire the beautiful timber buildings for which Ortisei is known, and perhaps pick up a souvenir of your day in the craft shops.

When your time in Ortisei comes to an end, return in comfort to your starting point in the Lake Garda area to conclude your tour.

It is a must if you stay around the Garda lake : In July it is warm even in the mountains - you will be ok with shorts and jacket.

This is a must if you are staying in Lake Garda, the views are breathtaking and it is well worth it.

In a small town at the bottom, not Bolzano, in the pouring rain, there was an hour and fifteen minute break.

Disappointing

I was so looking forward to this trip but was left feeling a little disappointed. Some of the views from the bus were simply amazing but at the top of the pass where the longest stop was, the weather was awful and e couldn't do the cable car. I know the weather can be unpredictable but feel this stop could have been made shorter and another stop could have been made further down where other coaches had stopped where the weather and the views were clearer and better. A couple of short stops were quite unnecessary on what was a very long long day just sitting on coach. In hindsight I would hire a car and stop where we wanted or visit the area for a day or two to make the most of what is a stunning location.

Our only disappointment was that the weather was bad the day we went on this tour. No one had control of that and everyone made the best of it. Everything was exactly as described. The pickup was on time and the bus very comfortable. Our driver Giovanni was a very smooth driver and an expert at the many difficult turns in the road. Our guide Francesco was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. Although it was an 11 hour day, it did not seem like it. The scenery was beautiful and our guide gave lots of facts and told lots of stories. Then on the way back he was quiet much of the time - which was perfect as everyone was tired. The drop off was right at the time predicted.

Well worth the time and money

It was a long day with lots of sitting on a bus With that being said it was well worth it. We did 4-5 stops which broke up the trip. A couple of them just for quick pictures. The scenery was breathtaking. The commentary by our guide Christine was enjoyable and informative. The trip in the gondola up to the mountain top was amazing as were the views from the top. Well worth the money spent. It was a highlight of our 10 day trip

The entire drive up to the pass was incredible...the gondola lift was amazing.... tour guide quite knowledgeable and brought a lot of indepth insights to the culture and history of the locals as we passed through the various towns and villages...well worth the money

Dolomite Tour 2023. This tour was just fantastic the sights were amazing, our tour guide was so knowledgeable and engaging nothing was a problem. Enough time at all our planned stops except our last one which could have been 1hr instead of a half an hour, the half an hour was too short to see or buy anything. We were staying in Hotel Ocelle Sirmione so pick up and drop off points were perfect. Overall rating 10 out of 10.

Our tour guide was really interesting and knowledgeable. The leg space on the coach however was restricted if you're tall. Don't be caught out on the first stop, the apple struddle is not complementary 😅. The whole trip was well organised and we had plenty of time to have a look around each place. The best part by far was the cable car ride which gave us views we, ll never ever forget. So breathtaking and beautiful.

This was a spectacular tour. We had perfect weather which gave us amazing views from the top of Pordoi Pass. The tour takes you to areas that we wouldn’t otherwise have been able to access. The driver, Giovanni did a wonderful job on those windy roads and our tour guide Alessandro was the best. Helpful, cheerful and gave heaps of information into the history of the area. Overall a brilliant day! Bloody unreal!!

Great day exploring the impressive Dolomites without having to worry about driving off a cliff with my head on a swivel. Major kudos to bus driver for navigating switch back mountain roads with opposing tractor trailer traffic and bicyclists along the shoulder.

Wonderful trip to Dolomites, only problem after 4.5 hrs on return journey, my wife needed toilet, she was made to feel even more uncomfortable from rep and driver for asking to use WC at a stop to let people off, driver wanted to leave her, I understand he’d of been over his hours but come on, a break should of been factored in,

The drive was beautiful up to the Dolomites. The scenery was breathtaking. You can get food at the gas station stops. The driver was awesome and our guide was super informed, did a great job. The cable car to the top of the Dolomites was 23€ for adults so bring cash. It can get chilly and definitely need good sneakers. Lunch was hard to do because there are only a few places, the wait is long. We would have preferred to do lunch in Ortisei, there is so much more to choose from and the town is gorgeous. Disappointing that we only had 45 minutes to walk around Ortisei. This was a great bus tour and made us want to come back and visit the small towns.

Overall amazing experience. Saw many great spots East of Lake Garda accompanied with a knowledgeable guide that kept the ride fun and interesting. The cable car ride to the top of Pordoi Pass is an absolute must - we were short on cash for the ticket, but the guide offered to pay for a few of us until the next break spot with ATMs. It would have been great to know about it beforehand in the tour description. Thank you!

We started our tour from Gardone Riviera. We were picked up at 7am. I would advise you to ask your hotel for a packed breakfast as it’s a very long day until you have lunch. We then drove to the first stop where we had apple struddle and a hot drink (not included). We then made our way to the dolomites. It’s optional to pay for the cable car (€20) but well worth it as the views are amazing. Wear warm clothes as it’s very cold up there, we had tracksuit bottoms and jumpers on and up the top my hands were freezing. Luckily it didn’t rain and you could see for miles. We then got to eat lunch somewhere before we met up on the coach again to go to the next stop. Another beautiful town but didn’t have enough time to do anything but walk around. It’s a very long day. Pick up for us was 7am and we were dropped back to the hotel at 8pm. It’s a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Pick up was 30 minutes late and the bus didn't have much leg room on board but other than that the tour was amazing. Driver was good and Gabriella the guide was brilliant - she told us lots of information all the way, was friendly, fun and brought things to life. The Pordoi Pass was incredible - although the cable car is not included in the price it is 100% worth the extra, the views are just breathtaking!

Highly recommended trip to the dolomites which was breathtaking to see. The tour itself was well organised, with the tour guide being friendly, funny and informative. Plenty of time for stops, Toliet breaks, and time for the cable car and lunch. Excellent company; would use again on our next trip.
