What To Expect

Your tour will begin with pickup from select Tahoe hotels. A local guide will help you aboard your shuttle, where you can settle in to comfy seats and admire Lake Tahoe’s panorama from the large viewing windows.

You’ll travel along the south shore first, stopping at Emerald Bay State Park, home to the lake’s most beautiful vistas. Step out to admire Fannette Island and the peaks towering over the brilliant blue of the water.

Hop back on the bus to continue along the western shore for a picturesque walk around Tahoe City. Your next stop will be to the home of the 1960 Winter Olympics, Lake Tahoe’s prominent Squaw Valley Ski Resort, where large crowds come to hit the slopes each year. Take some time to explore the mountain village before heading back to Tahoe City. There, your guide will drop you at the Boatworks Mall, where you can purchase lunch at one of establishments overlooking the lake or peruse the shops.

After a 1.5-hour break, you’ll travel across the state border into Nevada, stopping at Sand Harbor for more incredible views. As you travel, your guide will provide fun and factual narration about the area and the sites that you pass. Your Lake Tahoe circle tour will conclude at its original departure point.

I enjoyed the stops at Emerald Bay, the Trukee River Dam, and Tahoe City the best. Our travel guide shared lots of interesting facts about the area, including famous people who had lived there in the past and many wealthy Tech icons now. Lunch at Rosie’s in Tahoe City was great. Appreciated the frequent bathroom opportunities available along the trip.

Great guide. Learned a lot about the Lake Tahoe greater area. Very relaxing and enjoyable. Our daughter was not able to make the tour. We called a couple of days before the tour and we were told the the cost for her ticket would de refunded. However, I looked on our credit card bill this morning and a refund has not showed up. Please make the refund as promised. Great tour.

Very interesting tour, little hard to follow along with all the guide was pointing out, missed some photo opportunities but that's the way it goes sometimes. Eating at Rosie's as the guide recommended (sayin she was his sister) cost us an hour of our two hour free time, so definitely did get to enjoy as much.

Probably the dam area. Very interesting. Squaw valley was disappointing. Big Olympic fan. Was expecting more to be left from the games. Maybe highlighting that as a stop was a little misleading.

We enjoyed this tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and gave us some ideas on what we should see during our visit. I wish we could have made a few more stops where we could have gotten out and looked around but I realize that parking is almost impossible everywhere. I would recommend this tour to anyone who is a first time visitor who needs some tips on how to navigate the area. I would suggest that the driver keep a cooler with water to sell on very hot days.
