Overview
Learn about Amish culture in Pennsylvania's Lancaster County on this tour and dining experience. You'll explore the countryside to see historical landmarks and then meet a local Amish family for a sit-down home-cooked meal, where you'll have the chance to observe their way of life on a farm. The tour is designed by a local resident who grew up as a Mennonite outside Strasburg, PA, and whose father was born Amish. Times and dates may be subject to change due to scheduling with the families.

We absolutely loved this experience! Our guide, Steve, is very knowledgeable and shared a lot of history of Amish culture with us. We’ve learned so much on the tour. Sarah is a great host - food was excellent (and definitely save room for dessert!!) she even played harmonica to us. The whole experience couldn’t have been better. We highly recommend this tour!

This is a once in a lifetime experience. While we were finishing our tasty meal, the children came home early from school--treat to experience. Everyone was welcoming. Mike, our guide, gave us a very good understanding of the Amish life.

This was a treat for my Aunt who is visiting from NY. Our guide, Mike was very knowledgeable about the history of Amish so it was a most interesting and knowledgeable experience. We drove through the Amish countryside and ended up with Emma, our host. Emma is charming and welcoming. She has three children, a year plus toddler girl who is very cute, a four year old boy and another school age boy who was in school.
Emma prepared a most delicious meal with mostly ingredients that they grew in their garden. We got to understand some of their customs and way of life. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience, in fact, this is my second time with this type of tour. The first time I learned some different things about their lifestyle. I learned that the Amish folks are very simple and friendly people. I would most definitely come again.

The amount of food that our host Martha served . Everything was amazing! Also it was a surprise to learn that the host farm we were at was where the movie Witness was filmed.
