Overview

Lititz is a Pennsylvania city that showcases a picture-perfect peak into small town America. Located near Lancaster, this guided tour of the 1792 Johannes Mueller House lets you see what explores the history of the Moravians living here in the 18th century. Built way back in 1740, this home was rebuilt in the 1790s and restored over the years to capture what everyday life was like for Moravians who immigrated from Germany to Pennsylvania.

    Loved this tour and learned so many interesting facts about the Moravians. Even my husband who doesn’t normally love tours (but loves me so he goes) had a great time and was still talking about it days later.

    If you enjoy history, this tour is a MUST! The house is still basically the same as it was in the 1700s and 1800s. So you get to experience how the inhabitants actually lived and worked. Our tour guide Robin was wonderful! She is very knowledgeable about the town, the house and the generations who lived there. If you’re visiting Lititz take this tour, you’ll be glad you did!

    From the first few sentences out of our tour guide, Ed’s, mouth I was learning new things about the history of our town. My boys, 12 and 9, were engaged the whole time and asked thoughtful questions that Ed seemed to enjoy answering.
