    Educational and delicious!
    Joyce_L, Mar 2023
Kendra, the owner and our tour guide, was fabulous! She was enthusiastic and friendly and very informative! We ate plenty of food to be filled and even though i live locally, i learned of places that I’d never eaten at before! She also made us aware of the cultural foods from the immigrant population in Lancaster and taught us things about Black history in Lancaster.
    So good!
    Michelle_J, Mar 2023
It was a great time! Kendra was an amazing host and was very knowledgeable of the area. I’m from the area and learned a lot! The tour consisted of good food, fun facts and a walking tour of the city. She also showed us some shortcuts which I will be taking from now on!
    Response from Host, Mar 2023
I'm so glad you had a fun experience on the food tour in Lancaster!! Yes I love the shortcuts too! It's very true to the nature of Lancaster! See you next time!
    Truly Unique

Food was unique and excellent. The experience was great and I loved the stories. Who knew downtown Lancaster had so much to offer?!?!
    Response from Host, Mar 2023
I'm glad you enjoyed the food tour in Lancaster City! We hope to have another one soon which is all Latin food! Would be happy to have you join! Stay in the loop with new tours at ExperienceLancasterpa.com See ya next time!
    Disappointed
    Ashleigh_B, Feb 2023
Positive- Kendra was wonderful! We enjoyed meeting Pastry Chef Cedric. Negative- The tour is not a lunch tour as was advertised. We've been on several food tours in Europe where thr samples were lunch size. Going to the oil and tea shops were a waste of time...nothing special and any tourist to Lancaster could have gotten a sample free of charge. All the samples could have been given inside the central market since there were Thai, Cuban, Spanish, Ukrainian, Middle Eastern, Italian and Pennsylvania Dutch delicacies. Recommend the tour be renamed Tastes of Lancaster. We paid $260 for four people and it was not worth the price!
    Response from Host, Feb 2023
Thank you for your feedback and the compliment and I'm glad you enjoyed the experience overall. While you will find hundreds of 5-star reviews on Google and Airbnb, I am glad you are giving constructive feedback based on your experience. The tour takes place at lunch and includes food and drinkn at 6 different places. The locals who live downtown and know Lancaster really enjoy the added commentary from our chefs. As we discussed on the phone it is important that you know I take your feedback seriously. Many of the chefs took the time to talk to our group which adds tremendous value to the tour. Most people find the amount of food to be really nice - especially considering the rising cost. We have re-evaluated some of the descriptions to include words like "sample" and "tasting" even though it is quite a bit of food. Lastly, as I mentioned, if you book through Viator or Tripadvisor you are paying a 23% fee to them. Whereas booking on our website you have access to our specials which make it more affordable. It was very nice to meet you.
    Very cool experience

Our tour guide was very nice and knowledgeable! I'm glad that we got to experience this whole new side of Lancaster that we have never seen before. It was a really fun and educational experience!
    Epic fail.
    Pamela_C, Dec 2022
The most memorable thing is that no one showed up to pick us up. Called the tour operator who said viator never notified them. She apologized and offered to meet us later or a refund. We chose the refund.
    Response from Host, Feb 2023
Hey Pamela, We apologize that there was a misunderstanding with your booking. Although we spoke on the phone and issued you a full refund. Since you did not experience the tour we are disappointed that you have chosen to leave a review. Feel free to contact us directly next time and we will go above and beyond to ensure you have a great experience.
    Fantastic experience!

Highly recommend the food tour! Our guide Mable was such a delight! She was knowledgeable and adapted the tour based on the needs of the group. Her tour provided us with insight into the history and current events of this wonderful city!
Great was to spend an afternoon!
    Cathy_E, Dec 2022
Mabel was the best! She was warm and bubbly with a great personality. She wanted to hear about you as much as you wanted to hear about Lancaster food. Most of the food was very good and I enjoyed learning about it and the people who made it (even if I didn't care for some of the food) All in all it was a great little tour.
    Enjoy a fantastic experience!
    Mary_F, Nov 2022
Kendra was fabulous guiding us to hidden gems and giving us samples of tasty treasures! She provided history and heartfelt stories that brought the area to life. I learned a lot, laughed a lot and enjoyed every item I ate as well! My favorites were the delectable French macaroon and hearty West African stew with peanut butter.

This was a phenomenal food tour!! The tour guides, Kendra and Mabel, were both personable, kind, conversational, and professional. They were knowledgeable about not only the diversity in food , but also able to share the vast history of Lancaster and its people. I will definitely be recommending this tour to friends and family.
International food tour is the way to go—small group, informative and a great way to see some of Lancaster from in insid
    Maureen_c, Oct 2022
Kendra, the guide, was very interesting and knowledgeable about Lancaster in general. She offered tips on things to do—so we got to taste great food and did a mini city tour at the same time. The food was not typical—Scandinavian hot dog, yuca, plantains and olive oil/balsamic store plus two desserts. All really yummy.
    Response from Host, Oct 2022
Maureen! I am glad you had a fun experience on the food tour! It was wonderful to meet your family!

Our guide Mabel was extremely well versed in all the local international foods and family businesses; and was gracious, kind, and personally engaging the entire tour. She took the time to answer questions, get to know us, and make the overall experience truly special and fun!

Like nothing else in the city! Don’t miss this!

Our guide, Kendra, rocked this experience for my brother and me. The shops and stands she took us to not only had amazing international foods to experience, but stories that we never would have heard otherwise. And the history! We learned so much about Lancaster city. What a delight! The walking was easy and I have 2 replaced hips and knees! The pace was perfect. Kendra was such a lovely person to get to know (we even invited her to visit us in Cali) Don’t miss this. A wonderful bang-for-your-buck!
    Great experience!

    Anniversary Weekend Getaway

If you are in Lancaster PA I highly recommend you book a Lancaster International Food Tour. We walked around the city tasting foods from Scandinavia, West Africa Cuba, Italy, and more! Not only did we taste amazing food we got to learn about Lancaster's history and contribution to the underground railroad all thanks to our wonderful tour guide Mabel! This was a great experience to add to our anniversary weekend getaway.
