Arizona Ghost Towns
James_B, Nov 2019
The trip was really good. The ghost towns are really out there and not very populated. Loved the town of Oatman with the burros and the shootout. Great time by my wife and I. El Dorado was kinda of not so hot to visit. Perhaps replace that with more time in Oatman or some other place in future.
Ghost Town Trip

Overall a good experience. Lots of countryside seen tour guide was very informative and the small group made the journey very pleasant. The site visits were ok however I was disappointed with the towns for some reason I was just expecting more. The information provided by the tour guide was more interesting. Overall a good day if you are looking at experiencing a trip on Route 66.
Great western tour

This trip took in four stops. The bridge overlooking Hoover Dam, Chloride, Oatman and Nelson. The stop at Hoover Dam was 20 minutes. The stop at Chloride was 40 minutes but really was just some people’s houses and a shop.Oatman however was fab, yet we only had one hour. This meant time to look at the small jail, have a very quick drink in the saloon, watch the gunfight (which was done for charity, maybe because it was out of season but it was a fight between two men and a teenage boy who was the sheriff. They were good and I did enjoy it but it is a stretch to call it professional, as I say it could be because it is out of season). We had a quick walk down the street and then we had to leave. It would have been nice if the company had booked a table for lunch in the saloon. The final stop of Nelson was somebodies house filled with Knick knacks and a garden full of cars and machinery. There were certain areas only tour groups could go. I think that the company should have included a tour, again we had 45 minutes but it wasn’t very big. A tour may have bought it to life a bit.Overall one star for Oatman the star of the day, one star for the guide who was knowledgeable. But it was far too expensive, not enough time in the one place with things to look at, too much time in places that wern’t worth it (not in winter at any rate), a tour would have been nice in Nelson.

This tour was amazing. We went to Chloride, Oatman and El Dorado. My favorite was Oatman when we had lunch with the burros. It was a lot of fun and our guide was great.

We had a great time on this tour! Our guide, Mike was very informative and very friendly. He was top-notch to say the least. If you want to get away and take a break from the gambling and the smoke filled casinos, this is a great excursion.

This tour was the highlight of our short trip to Vegas. Mike our guide was so good he was informative all the way and answered all our questions and we were lucky enough to be the only ones on the tour on the day so really was a special experience a great varied trip that exceeded our expectations

Lesley E, Nov 2016
There were only 4 of us on this trip so we had the personal services of guide Joel who had the most amazing knowledge about the desert and the history of the area. If the bus had been full it would have been a bit of an uncomfortable journey though. It was a fantastic day - the only criticism would be that the lunch was disappointing - wet rolls, crisps and a del monte fruit pot!

Great host. Wish we had a little more time in some of the places especially Oakham. Towns we visited not quiet due to numerous fellow toutists and bikers, however this did not detract from visits which were still very enjoyable and informative.

Oatman excellent. Not impressed with El Dorado. Waste of time.
Response from Host, May 2016
Supplier Response: Eldorado Canyon Mine is based in Eldorado Canyon at the historical Techatticup Mine. It's the oldest, richest and most famous gold mine in Southern Nevada and is frequently used for photo shoots, movie backdrops and music videos. Due to its fascinating history and outstanding beauty its often listed as highlight of this tour.

Amazing and very interesting tour. Our tour guide Khriss did a great job! Gave us a lot of information about this tour. From Hoover Dam up to Chloride, Oatman and El Dorado. Best part of it was the St Patrick's day parade in Chloride.

ALAN F, Feb 2016
What a great day we had. There were only 4 of us on this trip, so we had almost one on one attention from Michael our driver and guide. First stop Chloride and a meeting with 'Digger Dave'. This has to be one of the most bizarre and fascinating places I have ever visited. Not for what this town offers just how the people live and function on a day by day basis. Next stop Oatman. Another great experience and given it was on Route 66 just added to the fascination of this town. Seeing Donkeys Burro's simply wandering around this one street town was an experience on its own. Oatman calls itself the 'town which refuses to die' - and I certainly hope they are right because I would love to visit it again. Last stop El Dorado. Now this really is a ghost town, albeit during the time of our visit, a photographic shoot complete with scantilly clad ladies descended on the town. Very enjoyable !! Michael our bus driver and guide was superb and would thoroughly recommend this tour. Excellent value for money.

Fantastic trip! Our guide was very imformative and seemed to know alot about the history of Vegas and the towns that we visited. Oatmen was really enjoyable, i cant believe people love out there! Long time travelling to each place in the minibus, but it was fully air-coned and the other guests on the tour were good company! The lunches were great, more than i thought we were going to get. Would definatley recommend to get away from the hustle of vegas for the day!

Lorraine W, Sep 2015
The heat was just so bad. It was the Aujgust day that Vegas reached one degree under the all-time heat record. I enjoyed the scenery, especially around Oatman . The guide was pleasant, but I feel that the company should have checked in that morning to find out the times of the gunfight and kept in touch with our guide. Because of sickness the gunfight times were changed. To be told at 1 pm that the next fight was at 2.15, and that we would have to wait around in that phenomenal heat for another hour, was too much. We voted to leave. .... And I got bitten on the arm by a burro!

Lysa B, Jun 2015
A well paced day trip, starting with a half hour stop to view The Hoover Dam and continuing on to three very different cowboy ghost towns - Chloride in the old silver mining region, Oatman, a real feel of the old West, and Eldorado, tiny but compelling. The guide, Chris, was extremely informative with a relaxed sense of humour, always approachable and tolerant of numerous requests for photo stops.

This was by far the best trip we have had so far. The mini bus was very comfy and pick up was on tine. The guide Kriss was outstanding and kept us entertained the whole day with his stories. The scenery is outstanding and the ghost towns gave us plenty to think about. If you only have time for 1 trip, then this is it.

We had a blast! Khriss our tour guide was amazing. He was very knowledgable of everything we did and even drove by. A 10 hour tour went by quickly. The towns were great. The desert landscape was a new picture with every turn. I kept Khriss' card and will definitely use your company again and recommend it to everyone. Only under the condition we can have Khriss as our tour guide again. Sincerely, Amy, Joe, Victoria and Joey Rozzi
