What To Expect

This sightseeing tour to the Grand Canyon begins with a hotel pickup in Las Vegas. Then enjoy the trek east before arriving at the Boulder City Municipal Airport to begin the flight.

Start with a pilot meet and greet, then climb aboard and buckle up in the fixed-wing Vistaliner plane, featuring panoramic windows for the ultimate sightseeing adventure.

Begin by flying over the aqua waters and sandstone shorelines of Lake Mead, the largest reservoir in the United States, and its place of origin, the famous Hoover Dam, a modern marvel of engineering on the border between Nevada and Arizona. Fly high above the Grand Canyon and Colorado River, passing over West Rim attractions like Guano Point, Eagle Point, and the Grand Canyon Skywalk, a glass walkway nearly 4,000 feet above the canyon floor.

Upon landing, take the West Rim Shuttle to Guano Point. Enjoy a light meal along the West Rim while admiring the panoramic views of the Grand Canyon. Additionally, visit Eagle Point at leisure for more incredible scenery.

Upgrade your tour to take a helicopter ride to the canyon floor and float along the Colorado River. Climb aboard a state-of-the-art helicopter and swoop down before landing on the canyon floor. Walk around, get an up-close look at the many layers of the interior of the canyon and gain an even greater appreciation of the immensity of this natural wonder. Then enjoy a pontoon boat ride along the Colorado River, looking up at the canyon’s many beautiful colors and stunning rock formations.

Experience the breathtaking view from the Grand Canyon Skywalk (own expense), a glass walkway nearly 4,000 feet above the floor of the canyon.

The tour ends with a return flight to Boulder City and a hotel drop-off in Las Vegas.

Good adventure but helicopters broke down

We missed several stops of the ground tour due to mechanical problems with the helicopters. When we arrived at the helicopter terminal we were advised that the helicopter had a broken wind shield. They told us to do the ground tour first. We only had time to go to the Skywalk and Guano Point. Got back to the terminal and the helicopter we were supposed to use was broken. We had to wait another 15 minutes for another one to arrive. We didn’t get everything we paid for. What we did get to see and do was great.

Viator gave us the wrong pick up time in my email, and on my ticket, so we missed our transfer. I rang the company to check on my pick up and they said that we had missed our transfer. It turned out that Viator had provided the wrong time. This resulted in a ripple effect of wasted time on our holiday with trying to rebook, and rebook again. Upon booking for a FOURTH time due to the companies failures - incorrect pick up times, faulty planes etc. They eventually had to put us on a different tour, which they called an upgrade even though it isnt the tour we originally booked. The new tour was very rushed, and just felt like we had been chucked on it to save face. When i complained to Viator, they wouldn't take any blame what so ever. Not even the phone bill that i should not have incurred. Absolute joke of a company. If you want correct information sent to you for your tours, and good customer service. DO NOT book via viator.

Unacceptable, Poor communication by this company! They left all of us from our flight hanging ! At the onset of this tour, we (approx 15 people) were told to Promptly be back at the terminal for our return flight at 11:30am. They repeated drilled this point. They also wrote it on all our paperwork to be sure we knew ! I mean they made a big deal of this. So, per instruction, Every single tour member finished their tours and self walk portions and returned to the terminal at 11:30. However, there was no plane, no pilots, no flight. And, NO one to ask. There was a counter, however, the woman there was quite intentionally avoiding all of us. I went to the counter two times and could never get her attention (neither could others). So, we all waited and waited and waited. Tried calling the company - No phone Service ! All of us tried - no one had service. Mind you - we were in the desert, no one will talk to us, we have no way back, no one to call and no way to find out what was happening. It was the worst feeling. Finally a flight arrived inbound, the pilots came in but didn't say a word about what happened. This trip cost a LOT of money ! How they can get away with not communicating to us when we felt stranded and helpless there is beyond me. All they had to do was Communicate with us, tell us so we could get food (after an early morning of hikes, etc we were starving), or go to the gift shop, something. Don't leave us hanging ! I would never use this company again. I would never trust this company. The sights were great, as expected, it's the grand canyon. The bus driver was great during our self walk stops, the helicopter ride was also good. I would just NEVER use this company to organize this. Happy to talk with viator or this company specifically if they would like.

Manager Mistake

The check in process was very easy. They scanned our pass, checked our weight, gave us wristbands for all our attractions. Well that’s what we thought. Upon arrival to skywalk they didn’t give us the correct wristband. My phone didn’t have service so I wasn’t able to pull the original booking email up with all that I paid for. Luckily our tour guide Cody let me use his phone. I called my wife who then looked for the email and sent a screenshot of it to Cody’s phone. I’m very thankful for him. The reps at the skywalk weren’t going to let us go without that information. After we finished the manager came and said that another group had the same problem after us. They said it would be a problem that they’ll have to fix with the plane company.

Possibly the best value excursion I have ever taken. Early morning pick up from our hotel, 45 minute bus ride, scenic fixed wing flight to the Canyon, helicopter down to the river, boat ride and a spectacular helicopter back up. Time to go on the skywalk and visit Eagle Point. I cannot emphasise just how thrilling this whole package is.

This was a great tour. Small planes with friendly pilots. Made friends with the other passengers. Flew over the Hoover Dam on the way out so got some great pictures. Pick up from the hotel was on time. Papillon staff at the airfield were well organised and friendly. Did not manage to book the Heli and Boat package which would have been our 1st choice but enjoyed the Skywalk. Had plenty of time at each of the stops. Transportation between the different points was well organised. Whole day was a great experience. Well worth paying the extra to avoid hours on a coach.
