Your Grand Canyon helicopter tour starts with pickup from your Las Vegas hotel by a luxury van.

After your transfer to the airport in Boulder City, receive a warm welcome from your pilot and a safety briefing for your flight in a state-of-the-art A-Star helicopter. Then take to the skies for your flight to the Grand Canyon. You'll get amazing views along the way, passing over Hoover Dam, Lake Mead, Fortification Hill and the dark volcanic cliffs of the Black Canyon.

When you arrive at the Grand Canyon, your pilot flies you through the canyon to look at the colorful rock walls and see the Colorado River up close, then follow the path of the Colorado River past rock formations that formed millions of years ago. Keep your camera handy for photo ops of cathedral buttresses, sculptural rock pillars and enormous canyon expanses everywhere you look.

A good way to see Grand Canyon if you have a short stay in Vegas

We were super excited about the helicopter ride and the shuttle was on time to pick us up from our hotel. The sights of the Grand Canyon via helicopter was breathtaking and a really great way to see it if you only have a few days in Vegas. Bethany was a capable pilot and gave us some history and commentary on different landscapes in the area. Unfortunately, I did not get a very good seat as there were 6 of us, plus the pilot squished into the helicopter (and I literally mean squished!). Their advertisement did mention that we could be sharing with others but having never been in a helicopter before I was unaware of the actual space in them. I understand that there needs to be even weight distribution but I was placed between 2 random large male strangers who didn’t speak English, so I had to sit upright and was unable to lean over to look at the view or even relax. Had I been seated next to my husband or daughter I would have felt a lot more comfortable. For a family of 3 this ride cost us $2000+ Australian dollars and I was disappointed that I did not enjoy it as much as I should have. I feel money is more a priority for the company than the comfort of guests and wish I had explored a more personal ride.

The Las Vegas Strip helicopter flights are flown in a counter-clockwise route to comply with the Las Vegas ATC Control Tower, who regulate flight routes for air traffic safety. Our Airbus helicopters are configured with stadium seating allowing maximum forward facing panoramic views from all seats. Airbus helicopters have been specifically selected for sightseeing tours based on this seat configuration. If you want to be guaranteed seats 1, 2 or 3, then we recommend that you book a private. . For the safety of the pilot and passengers, seat assignments are based on actual passenger body weights. In the interests of safety and the performance of the helicopter, the front seats have a maximum combined weight capacity based on center of gravity. Safety is our number one priority.
