What To Expect

This sightseeing tour to the West Rim of the Grand Canyon begins with a hotel pickup in Las Vegas. Hop aboard a comfortable, air-conditioned motor coach equipped with reclining seats, panoramic windows and onboard restroom. Then make the trek east, first stopping at the Hoover Dam bypass bridge for a great photo opportunity, a stop for breakfast (included) and then driving through Joshua Tree forests and the Mojave Desert to the Grand Canyon.

Upon arrival at the Grand Canyon, enjoy four (4) hours of self-guided exploring at the West Rim. Hike to the Eagle Point and Guano Point overlooks to take in the amazing views. Visit the Hualapai Ranch for a wild west show and enjoy a delicious hot lunch available from a variety of different outlets (included in tour price). There are many options and a variety of exciting possibilities.

There are also two upgrades to consider during this time frame. First, consider adding a thrilling walk on the Grand Canyon Skywalk, a glass walkway nearly 4,000 feet above the floor of the canyon. Secondly, there's a stunning helicopter/boat ride. Lift off high above the canyon in a helicopter, then swoop down between its walls and land on the canyon floor. Walk around, get an up-close look at the many layers of the interior of the canyon and gain an even greater appreciation of the immensity of this natural wonder. Additionally, enjoy a pontoon boat ride along the Colorado River, looking up at the canyon’s many beautiful colors and stunning rock formations.

Las Vegas Strip

After hotel pickups are finished you will depart immediately to Grand Canyon West. Travel time between Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon is around three hours each way. Your driver will provide an expert commentary along the route, returning you to Las Vegas in time for a night out on the town. All vehicles are climate controlled and equipped with reclining seats, video monitors, restrooms and over-sized windows.

Mediocre tour to a wonderful place
mrk00l57, Mar 2023
Not enough info about our pick up location Long bus waits Photo should be included with the skywalk (felt ripped off after waiting 45 minutes in line) We paid for our own breakfast and then found out it was included
Amazing day and sights
Melissa_A, Mar 2023
The tour guide was fantastic and explained everything and we had free water for the bus trip so that was a bonus. And we had a subway for breakfast and lunch in the Grand Canyon I think if you bought that package the sights all the sights we seen was amazing but the Eagle point was special there was plenty to eat drink and gifts. We had help choosing our pick up point nearest to our hotel and had directions when we got lost all in all 10 out of 10 loved it thank you
1st time experience
Amanda_B, Mar 2023
It was my sister and my first time going to the Grand Canyon/ Hoover Dam and although we enjoyed the gorgeous views of the canyon as well as the Hoover Dam stop, we did not like that the driver was very late, how hot it was on the bus, or the fact that we could hardly hear/ understand what the driver was saying. For the amount of money that we paid we were disappointed in those few things. Be mindful that the people touring with you may not be the most friendly, or maybe we just had a tough crowd. You could get lucky:) The people at the canyon were no better with regards to kindness. With that being said, pictures do not do the canyon justice. Take it all in and enjoy this once in a lifetime experience if you do decide to book this tour.

Great tour. Poor service from tour operator
Akira_H, Mar 2023
I have a mixed review on this tour. We were supposed to do this tour on Sunday. My entire group got up and we were at the agreed meeting point at 6:15 a.m as arranged. At around 6:30 when we had not seen our tour bus, we called the tour operator. They said the bus was running a bit late and we should give it some time. After about another 30 mins we called again and were told that they were having vehicle problems but the bus was now on its way to us. About an hour after the agreed pick up time, another group of people waiting on the same tour, told us they were informed by the tour operator that the tour was cancelled! We had to call again to receive this information. At no point did the tour operator reach out to us to give any of these updates! Since we were only in Las Vegas for a few more days it would have been difficult to arrange the your with a different operator so we decided to reshedule for the following day. Again they were late but after being picked up, everything went smoothly. Our driver stopped for us to have bathroom breaks. The Grand Canyon is a MUST SEE. So breathtaking. I would recommend doing this tour with another company.
Response from Host, Mar 2023
Dear Akira_H, Thank you for being a Gray Line customer and we are sorry for the issues you experienced and for missing your sightseeing expectations. All the coaches Gray Line uses are maintained to the highest industry standards, however the extreme weather conditions of the American Southwest does take a toll on equipment and we are sorry that this affected your planned trip to the Grand Canyon. We are happy that you did eventually get to see the magnificent natural spectacle that is the Grand Canyon. In closing, I want to again apologize again and wish you all the best in your future travel experiences. Sincerely, GL Vegas Customer Service
Would highly reccomend!

Worst Tour Ever!
Alicia_T, Mar 2023
This tour was the worst I have taken. The bus smelled horrible like human waste no AC. The driver had no clue of what he was doing no information or advice of sites. Advised Mic was broken. It was very upsetting to pay so much money for this tour
Response from Host, Mar 2023
Dear Alicia_T, Thank you for being a Gray Line customer and we are sorry that we missed your sightseeing expectations. Our drivers are suppose to be courteous, informative, friendly and place an emphasis on safety. We are very sorry that this was not your experience, and I want you to know we will be subjecting the driver on your excursion to additional customer service training. Additionally, while we have had no other comments regarding the condition of the coach on your tour, we are having our maintenance people fully going over all the coach's systems. In closing, I want to apologize again for our driver's conduct, and I want to wish you all the best in your future travel experiences. Sincerely GL Vegas Customer Service
A few setbacks with organization and itinerary
Michelle_N, Mar 2023
Awesome views Confusion with pick up location; not the bus expected; mechanical error; destination beautiful; enjoyed being able to use time as wanted.
Response from Host, Mar 2023
Hello Michelle, Thank you for being a Gray Line customer ansd we are sorry for any confusion over the booking process and the hotel pickup location. We are happy to hear that you loved the West Rim of the Grand Canyon, it is a truly majestic destination. Sincerely, GL Vegas Customer Service
A bit disappointed
Alan_B, Mar 2023
Having paid for the trip upfront, we were charged $20 without explanation before boarding the bus. The distribution of tickets was a bit chaotic. Tour advert says bus is air conditioned- ours wasn’t. The Grand Canyon itself was spectacular and the food included in the tour was good. Our driver was good, but it would be a stretch to call him a driver/tour guide. We received no information on either the Grand Canyon or Hoover Dam.
Response from Host, Mar 2023
Dear Alan_B, Thank you for being a Gray Line customer and we are sorry for missing your sightseeing expectations. The additional fee was for the fuel surcharge that was disclosed during the booking process and on your confirmation. We are also sorry if you found the temperature on the coach to be too hot, however all of our coaches are A/C equipped. I would point out that with our much colder than normal weather of late, most guests are interested in heat, not cooling. Yet we are sorry that you were not comfortable. In closing we want to wish you all the best in your future travel experiences. Sincerely, GL Vegas Customer Service
Your site needs to be...
Rob_B, Mar 2023
Your site needs to be updated. The 'hot' breakfast was subway at a gas station. The western town hasn't been available for some time. However, Chris was a great driver.
Response from Host, Mar 2023
Dear Rob_B, Thank you for being a Gray Line customer and we are sorry that we missed your sightseeing expectations. Yet, we are happy that you were pleased with our driver/guide Chris. I would like to apologize that the Hualapai Western Town was not open. This feature, while not at the Canyon's Rim, is interesting and is suppose to reopen shortly. In closing, I want to again apologize and I want to wish you all the best in your future travel plans. Sincerely, GL Vegas Customer Service

overpriced, no guide, just a bus trip- an expensive taxi ride.
Wendy_P, Mar 2023
I was picked up at 6 am. An hour of driving from hotel to hotel picking up other passengers followed. Then we drove about 3/4 of an hour to a gas station for our "hot" breakfast which was actually a Subway sandwich. Then, we drive for a little while longer for a "tour" of the Hover dam, which was a walk up steps and to a bridge where we viewed the dam. This was followed by an hour drive through the "tour" of the Jacob trees, which was not mentioned by the bus driver. Did I mention there was no tour guide. Finally, we made it to the Grand Canyon. The bus driver got our helicopter tickets for our "tour" of the Grand Canyon which was a ride from the top to the bottom. Then, we "toured" the river via boat which was a fast 5-to-10-minute ride. After that, the boat driver stopped and said, "now you take pictures." Then, our helicopter ride out of the canyon. My paid in advance meal overlooking the canyon I had to take to go because the line to get into the skywalk was so long and slow. The meal was a chicken fillet on a hard bun with chips. For the skywalk, you can't take pictures, but they will take yours for $25 or the deluxe $50 package. I paid over $500 for this day trip. They could have at least had a tour guide. I didn't even have enough time to take the side trip bus to the best overlook of the Canyon. I would suggest booking somewhere else where you can at least get a guide, or renting a car would have even been better and driving myself.
Response from Host, Mar 2023
Dear Wendy, Thank you for being a Gray Line customer and we are sorry that we missed your sightseeing expectations. That said, I must admit I am a bit confused. According to your narrative, we promised you a Hoover Dam photo stop and that was provided, you travel 2 1/2 hours through the desert while viewing the world famous Joshua Trees, you descended 4000 feet in a helicopter from the top of the Grand Canyon to the bottom (with the bird's eye view you can only get in a helicopter), then you took a boat ride on the mighty Colorado River with the amazing views looking up at the Canyon walls....but you just received an expensive taxi ride. Wow, if that is a taxi ride where you are from- we want to live there! We wish you all the best in your future travel adventures. Sincerely, GL Vegas Customer Service
Breathtaking
Claire_G, Mar 2023
Stepping off the bus at the grand canyon just takes your breath away, the skywalk is a must for anyone going. The trip was well organised with good food provided and the bus driver was full of knowledge the whole journey

The Grand Canyon views...
Simon_C, Feb 2023
The Grand Canyon views are amazing have to be seen to be believed. Could have had a little more time there could only see two viewing points
Response from Host, Feb 2023
Dear Simon, Thank you for being a Gray Line customer and we are sorry if you felts rushed during your time at the Grand Canyon's West Rim. At the West Rim there are only 2 viewing points of the Grand Canyon- Eagle Point (home of the famous SkyWalk) and Guano Point, which has amazing views of the Colorado River snaking its way along the bottom of the Grand Canyon. While there is a third stop, this is for a mock up of old west town and isn't close to the rim of the Grand Canyon. In closing, I want to thank you leaving us feedback and I want to wish you all the best in your future travel plans. Sincerely, GL Vegas Customer Service
Read the fine print
Amy_D, Feb 2023
Read the fine print. Gray Lines was suppose to give us a hot breakfast, a hot lunch and water through the trip. The fuel charge doubled from what the website stated and when the trip occurred. No breakfast at all. Lunch was not guaranteed until we were at the Grand Canyon. Water was not given until the ride back. We were not in a tour bus, we were in a party bus - less leg room and a very cold bus for a cold (30F, snowy) day. Once at the west rim, the tour guides there were great.
Response from Host, Feb 2023
Dear Amy_D, Thank you for being a Gray Line customer and we ae sorry for missing your sightseeing expectations. I will be researching why you didn't receive the breakfast, however the lunch has always been scheduled for at the West Rim of the Grand. While we do normally use full size coaches on our Grand Canyon excursions, as with all transportation companies, we do reserve the right to substitute equipment based upon operational imperatives. We are sorry if this affected your day. However, we are happy that you enjoyed our guide and the spectacular Grand Canyon. In closing, I want to again apologize for missing your expectations, and I want to wish you all the best in your future travels. Sincerely, GL Vegas Customer Service
to be honest,the view is...

to be honest, the view is wonderful, but there is too many times for waiting。waiting in line for bus, waiting inline for lunch and waiting for bus again。3 hours is not enough, too hasty!

Unforgettable Experience- Day Well Spent
tim_M, Feb 2023
The views were amazing! The weather was challenging (we had sunshine/wind at the damn/ memorial bridge and snow at the canyon). Canyon shuttle bus takes you to 4 different locations in the park - runs every 10 minutes. Several of the hiking trails ended up being closed due to the weather. Limited views were still spectacular. Plenty of time to see everything - even with limited visibility - The food at the canyon (down by the zip line at the quartermaster) was great! Two stops at the pilot rest stop - one on way to canyon and one on way back. It’s a long day - but worth it. Can check this off the bucket list!

The Hualapei hosts were extremely kind and generous as they welcomed an incredible number of bus tour visitors to the Skywalk @ Eagle Point & Guano Point lookouts! The views of Grand Canyon West are so majestic and breathtaking! Highly recommend these tours from Las Vegas! The tour guides are awesome, on time & provided a day to remember for all!! ***** stars
