The complimentary shuttle picks up at select hotels on the Las Vegas Strip. Please ensure you are on time to your given location out of respect to other guests on tour. Failure to be on time could result in a loss of the tour without refund. These specified hotels have quick and easy access for the shuttle to get through the busy strip, so you can spend less time in traffic and more time on the river! Travelers may also meet at the office located inside The Hoover Dam Lodge Casino. There is free parking and is last to be picked up and first to be dropped off from the shuttle. Travelers may meet at launch destination (25804 Willow Beach Rd, Willow Beach, AZ 86445) *National Park vehicle entrance fee is $25 (payable direct to the National Park Service)

What To Expect

Get picked up from your Las Vegas hotel or, if you prefer, you can also meet at the local operator’s office, which is a short drive from the Strip.

Once your guide has assigned everyone in your group a kayak, start your journey by paddling upstream into Black Canyon. Enjoy beautiful sights as you travel through and stop for a snack. Make your way to Emerald Cave where you can take a dip in the emerald-green-colored water before going back to Willow Beach. Call it a day and get shuttled back to your hotel.

Please note: In order for the local operator to obtain the necessary permits for this tour ALL traveler names must be provided as they appear on a government-issued ID such as a driver's license or passport. Your tour will not be confirmed unless all names are provided. Please ensure all names are spelled correctly, names cannot be changed once reservation is submitted.

Wonderful trip! Fabulous scenery. Kayaks were high quality with rudders that made them easy to steer. We had a beach stop, took a short hike and saw the cave. Celeste our guide was expert, fun and patient. Lots of water and snacks. The 4 mile round trip was perfect length. Comfortable nice on time van transportation. Go on this trip! You will love it!

Not a half day tour

This is not a half day tour, we were picked up at 8:50am and returned to our hotel at 4pm. There was a lot of wasted time such as the waivers, which like other tours should be completed on the 45 min bus ride, waiting for the tour guides to pack up the kayaks. We finished the tour tired and starving. The views and experience was beautiful and enjoyed the water, but I feel the tour needs to be more efficient with time.

Thanks for your feedback on the half day tour. We try hard to make this a smooth day for everyone and work hard to keep the tours moving. Our website and the booking form include time estimates for your day and explain the total tour time and how it is broken down. Our website states that the tour will be approx 5-6 hours total time (paddling on the river is approx 3-3.5 hours of this).The stop at our store is also to use the bathroom and pick up any last minute gear that might be needed for your trip. The 10:30am tour time, will return our guests back to their strip pick up spot between 3:30-4:00pm. We do send an FAQ link with your booking confirmation email that helps the guest answer many questions about your tour. This is helpful to review before tour day. Next time I recommend our cheaper self drive option that skips the shuttle ride by letting you transport yourself to the river. We are glad to hear that you did enjoy the beauty of the Black Canyon while on tour. We appreciate your feedback and will continue to improve our communication with guests regarding what to expect during their tour.

We were picked up on time from our hotel in a nice mini bus van. After collecting a few other passengers we were on our way. We stopped at the Hoover Dam hotel to sign waivers and nip to the shop if we wanted. Another short ride we were at Willow Beach, we were given instructions and help to get launched and we were off along the river. We were looked after by Seth and Chad who were brilliant, we were given quiz questions by Seth whilst waiting to get into the cave and some fun with the water pistols. After the cave we found a beach and could go for a swim and a short hike, Chad gave us loads of fun facts about the area. It was then a lovely kayak back to the start. We were delivered back to our hotel by Seth. This tour is great fun and the sights are amazing. Seth and Chad were brilliant and made the day more fun. You will not regret dping this trip, it's great to take you out of the hustle for a while. We will definitely be back. Thank you

Crystal Lynn was an amazing tour guide. Definitely recommend her! The tour was everything I expected and more. It was nice for once not being asked for extra money for fuel cost unexpectedly like the Hoover dam tour bus did to my group. Our tour guide didn't even mention or ask for tips like the Hoover dam tour guide did. Our guide was awesome and we choose to give a generous tip as we were the only ones to do so because she deserved it! The views were breathtaking! Despite the water being 54 degrees, it was perfect for the 105 degree Vegas heat! Will definitely do this tour again. I was told by our tour guide that as far as she knows, Blazin Paddles is the only kayak tour that also offers twilight tours after the sun goes down! They will dock boats along the river near a small beach line and start a fire with s'mores and hotdogs etc!!! Would love to do that tour next time around! Definitely didn't feel rushed on this tour!!!!
