What To Expect

Begin with pickup from your hotel (selected hotels only) and travel to the tour departure point in Jean.

On arrival, receive a comprehensive safety briefing, then set out to explore the rugged desert and mountain terrain. Ride through Hidden Valley to McCullough Mountain Range, passing extinct lava beds and Roach Dry Lake Bed on the way.

After a day exploring this impressive mountain and desert territory, relax on the comfortable, air-conditioned return ride to your Las Vegas hotel.

Las Vegas (Pass By)

Your day begins with complimentary air-conditioned transportation from your hotel to the tour departure point at Jean, NV (about 20 -30 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip). Due to the COVID-19, guests can self-drive to our staging area in Jean, NV. At this time our complimentary shuttle will be available under a first come first serve basis (reduced by 50% occupancy) based on group size and travel partners.

Seven Magic Mountains (Pass By)

Along the way you will see the Seven Magic Mountains, a desert art installation featuring seven painted boulder totems by Ugo Rondinone.

  • No license is required to ride an ATV (with proof of Age such as Birth Cert. or ID with proof of age)
  • Clothing: Pants or shorts are acceptable for riding. Summer months may be vary hot so please dress accordingly.
  • Footwear: No open toed shoes will be permitted to ride (for safety)
  • Please remember your sun block and or necessary medications as you will be riding in the desert
  • Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult
  • Due to the nature of this tour and the safety of all guests, the tour operator reserves the right to refuse service to passengers who are intoxicated, under the influence or show signs of intoxication or drug use. If, as a result, your tour is canceled, you will not be entitled to a refund.
  • Please Note: All ATV riders must be at least 16 years old.
  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • Not recommended for travelers with back problems
  • Not recommended for pregnant travelers
  • No heart problems or other serious medical conditions

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

  • For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

Great ATV bike experience

Great time riding around the Mojave desert on the ATV bike. So glad I didn't wimp out and go in the double sweater buggy instead of the single seat bike. Scenery is stunning and it was so cold that we saw snow in the desert. Tour operators were great, regularly checked everyone was ok, allowed us to ride at our own pace, stopped a few times for photos and took us over a good mix of terrain. Highly recommended.

The adventure in the desert I've been looking for forever! I enjoyed it so much. Harley picked us up from our hotel with the best attitude that helped me wake up even with barely any sleep. The tour location is in Jean, so about a 30 minute drive from the strip. Before the tour actually starts, the team goes over safety rules and how to use the equipment. Great team, too. They were all so nice and helpful. Our guide, Cody, was awesome. He gave us some history on some locations and all was very fascinating. A shame we didn't see the big-horned sheep or tortoises, but next time. The ride was the coolest part, very adventure-y. Bumpy but fun on the way to the top and speedy on the way back to base. Overall, highly recommend. You're going to get dusty. I recommend wearing a bandana to cover your face under the helmet.

Absolutely amazing guides. Struggled with my hand going numb. They did not hesitate to give me a 4 wheeler so I could go in. They were genuinely kind. Would recommend over and over! American adventure tours for the win!!

If you don’t mind bumpy roads and getting dirty it is a nice ride through the desert. Nice courteous guides and young men getting things staged for our ride. We had a nice day wasn’t to hot or to cold. Was just right.

Everything from the transportation, instruction, ATV's, tour and weather was on point. They make the experience based on your ability. Great pics to be had. You finish your experience with time to still enjoy Vegas the rest of the day. Not going is a mistake. Just do it.

This was an over-the-top excellent experience for both atv and razr. Go through lake beds, sweeping flats as well as Rocky mountainous terrain. Views are great and our guide Mike was superb with knowledge of the area.

This was by far the best thing my group (of 5) did while on vacation in Las Vegas. The tour guides pick you up outside of your requested hotel around 7 AM, and then take you about 30 minutes outside of LV, all while giving you tips on what to do/where to go, as well as some interesting facts about the area on your way to Jean, NV. They give a quick review of the rules and you do a practice lap before you start. After about 40 minutes or so you take a ~15 minute break for some photos and to take in the scenery. After this, it is about 30 minutes or so back to the staging area, but this all depends on how fast/slow your group is driving, so don't hold yourself to any specific time frame (it's about 3-4 hours from pickup to dropoff). Don't worry about water as they will give you plenty of water bottles and make frequent checks to make sure you are adequately hydrated. Make sure you verify with them the time and place of pickup the day before, and they even call you when they're 5 minutes away. Our tour guides, David, Austin, and one other gentleman made the tour worth it. They were extremely knowledgeable, kept us engaged and excited, and truly made it a special experience.. HIGHLY recommend this trip!

Everyone was extremely nice. Youngest is 17 oldest 48 and we all had a blast. Even got to hand feed a chipmunk. Definitely will come again next trip. Safe driver as well.
