Take the shuttle provided by the port of Livorno to COACH PARKING (the "scambiatore") which is a few minutes' ride inside the port. Do NOT take a shuttle to the city center, pay directly on the spot 5 euro for the ride. Please allow at least 15 minutes from the time you disembark to get to coach parking as the number of shuttles can be limited.

What To Expect

When your cruise ship docks at the port of Livorno, meet your guide and step aboard your transport for the journey to Pisa. After a stop at Piazza dei Miracoli to see the city’s three key sights: the UNESCO-listed Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Duomo, and Baptistery. Make the most of your free time here to sightsee independently, and perhaps strike a pose for the perfect photo by the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

Proceed to Florence, passing through stretches of scenic Italian terrain, arrive in the Tuscan capital for your tour.

Admire the Renaissance architecture that flanks the picture-perfect streets, and stretch your legs on a stroll around Piazza del Duomo. The square is home to Florence Duomo, also known as the Cathedral of Santa Maria dei Fiori, so turn your attention to its colorful marble exterior and its crowning glory: the terracotta cupola, Brunelleschi's Dome. Learn how the iconic cupola was designed by Arnolfo di Cambio, a 13th-century architect, and took some 170 years to complete.

Your next stop is Piazza dell Signoria, home to a copy of 'David,' the celebrated statue by Michelangelo. Amble through Loggia dei Lanzi, an open-air area of sculptures to see examples of Florentine art in the great outdoors.

Walk onward to the Ponte Vecchio, the age-old bridge that has become of the city’s most iconic sights. Pose for photos, and then stop by the strikingly beautiful Basilica of Santa Croce.

I highly recommend this tour especially when you only have a limited amount of time (one day) in the area.

Our tour bus was available at the terminal and provided a smooth trip.

Although you spend a lot of time in transportation, the bus is large and air conditioned and Stephanie makes you feel comfortable for the entire tour.

Good tour but LOTS of walking. Would not recommend for anyone with any walking difficult.

For the first time in my life I am having trouble walking, It is a different world. given that, You need to more clearly identify the amount of walking invoved in this tour, especially to see TheTower, It is very difficult to manage for a handicapped person. If you could offer a tour that includes golf cart transportation to at least the entry way would be much better. The same with the city tours - I am sure handicapped people would be willing to pay additonal funds to be able to really enjoy the tour.

Things started off with a bit of confusion about the shuttle compared to the description as "free" in the tour. (Yes you must pay 5 Euros each person to take a shuttle to the bus parking lot) Once we arrived at the meeting point it was all good. Stephania was a wonderful tour guide - friendly, helpful, kind, full of vast amounts of information and funny, too.

The tour was fine, the driver snd guide were good. But it was a misleading and error in the the meeting instruction. The meeting instruction stated that take free shuttle to the coach parking to join the tour. But the Viator agent said there is no free shuttle to the coach parking. We had to pay Ur$5.00 pp to take the shuttle, if we did not pay, we could not go to the tour. A very unfriendly agent to be met in the morning. We paid ur$10 for 2 people to take the shuttle to meet the tour. It ruined my morning. The guide and the driver were fine. We should be reimbursed the Ur$10.00

Stephania was a great tour guide. I learned all sorts of interesting things about Italy in general and Tuscany specifically. Pisa was beautiful, and Florence was fantastic. Florence is unique from the other Italian cities we visited because it is a small city that has retained almost 100% its Renaissance feeling throughout. I feel like I walked the streets that the Medicis and Michelangelo walked. It was a great day.

We arrived at Livorno via cruise ship and was a little late getting off the ship but the tour waited until we found the bus. Our tour guide, Stephania, was so awesome. There were a few difficult people on our tour but Stephania kept the tour going and did her best to make sure we got to see as much as possible. I highly recommend this tour, especially Stephania.

Stephania was amazing. She shared much history with us of everyplace we visited as well as on the bus ride. She made sure we were safe, always together and great advice on where to go, eat, etc The only bad experience was getting to the coach which is not a reflection of Stephania but what was organized. We were told to take a shuffle from the cruise ship but there was no shuttle to the defined meeting point. We needed to take a taxi for 15 euros. If it wasn’t for the available taxis we may have missed the your.

You sure get your money’s worth with this tour! Full day tour to see Pisa and Florence, as well as the countryside in between. Laila our guide, and Luciano our driver were very professional, and Laila was a great timekeeper - be on time, and let’s go! ONE IMPORTANT DETAIL: Our tour DID NOT leave from the ship dock outside our Royal Caribbean ship. You need to take the FREE PORT SUPPLIED BUS to the first stop, which is a parking lot for buses just outside the port. There, you will meet the tour. DON’T take the bus to the second stop (which is the city center), you want to get off at the first stop. The buses only run about every 20 minutes, so give yourself time as well. Outside our ship there was a little booth with a port representative where we asked about the free shuttle. GREAT tour and much smaller than the ship excursions with huge groups!

Our driver was about 20 minutes late and we were told to ride a “free” shuttle to the meeting place. When we got there, we had to pay 5€ per person for about a 2 mile ride. We enjoyed the Florence tour, but the guide was so long that our time to be on our own was shortened by 30 minutes. Pisa was great.

Marco was an excellent tour guide, he was very informative, jovial and made the day one to remember. The tour content was good and as described and we had plenty of free time to wander round at both venues. The size of the tour was fine and the size of bus limited the walking to and from the bus. We enjoyed this tour very much and were quite impressed with our tour guide Stephania who was very knowledgeable being from Florence. She had a great sense of humour and she kept the group well organized. Learned from that Canada was actually the producer of Genoa salami We started at Pisa in the morning to avoid the larger crowds arriving later. We were given about an hour to go around the Pisa square etc.,as well as walk down adjoining streets. We continued late morning to Florence and we thoroughly enjoyed the walk through the streets of Florence seeing the amazing architecture and sculptures. We also had time to dine on our own at the Galleria which had many fine shops and small vendors. A future trip to stay longer in Florence would be suggested to see more of this beautiful city.

Stefania was our guide and she was a total champion. Her knowledge and passion for the region was on display. We learned so much about Tuscany, Pisa, and Florence, and had such a great time in the process! One of our other guides made a comment that telling stories and sharing knowledge is the easy part of a tour, and that keeping track of everyone is the real challenge. That is very true and I admire and appreciate how determined and organized Stefania was! We got a late start when a couple arrived almost an hour after our scheduled start time, claiming they were prevented from disembarking from our ship (they were consistently late/got lost/disappeared all day so it's more likely they just got a late start and told a lame lie instead of being adults about it), but Stefania promised she would have us back to our ship in time, and she did! Also, when the aforementioned couple disappeared on our way to our bus in Pisa, it was pouring rain and Stefania walked back and managed to find them so we could get on our way to Florence. She went above and beyond to keep everyone together. Thank you Stefania, it was a pleasure spending the day with you!

Stephanie our tour guide was AMAZING on Sept 19, 2019. She made everyone feel like she was giving them a private personal tour. She remembered names, answered every question, had great insight on what to do, gave us enough time and was one of the best tour guides I've every had. This was the first stop on our cruise and was our daughter's birthday. She had been wanting to go to Florence for a long time and the tour did not disappoint. From the very beginning of the tour, things were very well organized. The company had representatives at the ship to direct us to the correct shuttle bus to reach our tour guide (much less stressful meeting point than some of our other tours). Our tour guide was Katia and she was fantastic! The tour group consisted of about 25 people and she did a great job managing the large group, making it feel much smaller and intimate. She provided incredible insight into Italian history and culture during the bus ride to both Pisa and Florence, making the time go by quickly. She was very well organized, utilizing headsets so that everyone could hear her as we toured the busy streets of Pisa and Florence. I appreciated that she gave us as much free time as she could in each location and made great recommendations for lunch, gelato, and shopping in Florence! Definitely a tour we would highly recommend!

Our guide Stephanie was great, knowledgeable and was with us the entire time and gave us ample free time in Florence for lunch and shopping. We were given clear instructions on where to meet once we got off the cruise and the drop off was right by the cruise. I enjoyed being taken care of for the day. We had an excellent guide that was very friendly and was fun to be around. We started out in Pisa and took lots of pictures. Then is was on to Florence. We did a lot of walking and learned a lot about the history of the architecture. Steffani was a great tour leader. The bus ride and scenery were great too.

Our big group of 20 people (a family of grandparents, parents and kids from 5 to 28:) had a great experience on this tour. Our guide - Eliza, and the driver - Titian, were great! Thanks to Viator team for finding Eliza! Great tour of the Leaning Tower and Florence

We went on a tour in the middle of the heat wave that is crashing over Europe. Our tour guide, Stefania, was fantastic-- she is a native of Firenze (Florence) and was able to steer us to just the right places. We went to the Leaning Tower first thing in the morning after leaving the cruise ship and spent about an hour there-- you have to walk for about ten minutes from where the buses park. Stefania gave us all headsets so we could easily hear her talk. After our time at the Leaning Tower, we headed on to Florence. I was a little worried that in Florence we wouldn't get a chance to go inside the Uffizi (Botticelli's paintings) or the Academia (the original David), but those fears proved to be unfounded-- Stefania walked us through Florence for about an hour, pointing out many historical details about what is an absolutely astonishing city-- the Duomo Cathedral is certainly one of the top 5 most impressive buildings I have ever seen. We then had an hour and half for lunch; we went to Ristorante la Grotta Guelfa, where my daughters enjoyed delicious (and reasonably priced) pizza. Afterwards, we spent another hour walking slowly through the city as Stefania explained many other things about the city-- the history of the city with the Medicis, the history of the Ponte Vecchio bridge, and more. From there, it was about an hour and twenty minutes back to the cruise ship. All told, a long but really great day.

We had a very smooth tour, our bus was ready for us at the port terminal. Our guide Stefania was very knowledgeable and we had a great time. We got to see the most iconic places of each city, definitely 8 hours is not enough time to see and experience everything there is to see in these cities, but even with that limitation the tour was fantastic!
