This London food tour was a blast. Josh was our tour guide and he was super friendly and very knowledgeable about London history. The food stops were delicious. We were so full at the end we didn't need dinner. The Jack the Ripper story was pretty cool too.

Food & So Much More
William_C, May 2023
One of the better food tours we have experienced. Not only was the food delicious, the history lesson of the East End of London we received from our guide Nial was exceptional. He truly made this a highlight of our trip. We never would’ve known this area of London existed if we had not joined this delightful tour. We also lucked out with the nice people in the group. Cheers!
Response from Host, May 2023
Wow thanks William for your review. We are so glad you got to experience the East End with us- a hidden treasure for lots of tourists.
Great food and walking tour of East End London!
Julie_W, May 2023
We had some delicious bites in the East End and our guide Madilyn was great. She is from the East End and loves it so it shows. Her stories of the history of the area were great. This area was very busy so sometimes it was a little hard to hear. Highly recommend for adults.
Response from Host, May 2023
Yes, thanks for the feedback. Super busy area especially on the weekend. Sundays in particular - we have the Brick Lane market so there's lots of hustle and bustle! Very lively indeed!
Amazing Food Tour!
Sheryl_H, May 2023
We highly recommend this tour and our tour guide Josh was amazing! Every stop was a unique type of food and Josh was knowledgeable about the food as well as history of the area. He made it fun and interesting. We had a blast! A definite highlight of our visit to London.

Great food, wonderful and charismatic guide. Some of the dishes we would have never tried on our own, and we loved them (like the apple crumble at Spitafields market)
Food was delicious! Great Tour!

History and Food- A Delicious Combination
Mary_B, Apr 2023
Kaffe was a thoroughly knowledgeable and affable tour guide throughout our time in the East End. The time flew as we learned about the fascinating history of the East End delivered in such a positive way. The food, at each stop, was delicious. Don’t eat breakfast before the tour! And you will be full for the rest of the day! This experience was certainly a highlight of my London trip!! Thank you Kaffe!
Response from Host, Apr 2023

We had an amazing time on a chilly afternoon. Every food stop was delicious and the tour was the perfect mix of history and food and beverage. And our guide was just perfect, so friendly and knowledgeable
So glad I did this.
Janet_T, Apr 2023
The food was fun but the guide’s (Madelyn) knowledge and presentation of history was so interesting. Met really nice people too.
Food Art Culture
Tom_D, Apr 2023
Josh did a fantastic job of bringing history alive with food. Art, food and culture were highlighted during this remarkable afternoon.
Response from Host, Apr 2023
Thank you! Yes we like to make sure you get a mix of everything that makes the neighbourhood so special- which not only includes food but the art and culture too! Glad to hear you had a remarkable time!

Enjoyed trying the different foods and hearing some of the history of the East End. Katie our tour guide was great--not too stuffy.
Best food and tour in London!!
Pamela_L, Jan 2023
This was one of the highlights of our entire trip to London. We wish we would have done it sooner in our stay instead of at the end. It was such a great time. Josh was the best tour guide! He was so friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and hilarious! He made the tour even better. (Make sure to tip him! He deserves it!) The food was absolutely the best we had in London. Hands down, 10/10. Even the group we had was really awesome. Josh interacted with all of us well and encouraged great conversation. Only thing I’d suggest is the directions given were a little hard to follow, no locals knew where the coffee shop meeting point, and the actual address given put you somewhere else. However, minor detail in otherwise a perfect tour. I think everyone visiting London should do this!
Response from Host, Jan 2023
Thank you so much for your review- we are blushing!!! We are so happy to hear it was one of the highlights of your entire trip and the food was 10/10!!!! Wow! We hope to see you again.
Must book this food tour!
Kevin_E, Dec 2022
Madeline was a fabulous guide! So entertaining and an absolute joy to spend an afternoon with. She showed us details in London we would’ve never noticed. And the background to the food choices made a world of a difference.
Highly recommended
Robin_A, Dec 2022
Madeline was an outstanding your guide. She has a degree in history and it shows. She was informative and engaging. The food choices were delicious. The tour through the East End was so fascinating. I had a wonderful time meeting the group and seeing and tasting my way through this part of London. I highly recommend.
Response from Host, Dec 2022
All our guides are top notch, from historians, to comedians, to stars on Broadway....our aim is to make this so much more than a food tour. We are so glad you had an outstanding experience on tour with Madeline. Hope to see you again!
London done right!
Brian_J, Nov 2022
Max was a great tour guide. Very knowledgeable and on point with information. Pace of the tour was really good. The food stops were fantastic. Highly recommend this tour.
Very good though guide very late
Susan_F, Nov 2022
A very good tour in all, though the first stop at a tiny nondescript cafe for a miserably tough bacon, stale bread buttie should be reconsidered. Bangladeshi restaurant with 3 types of curry was outstanding. Our guide was very, very late showing up and blamed a tube strike for her tardiness… except there was NO strike that day. It was 3 days prior! Not cool.
Response from Host, Nov 2022
Hi there, glad you loved the Bangladeshi stop. Just to let you know our guides are never late unless there's an absolute emergency, which in this case there was. Our customer service team contacted everyone to let the know our guide would be 10-20 mins late. For your reference there was not a train strike there was actually a train delay (You must have misunderstood) Sadly due to someone dying as you can read here- https://www.theargus.co.uk/news/21476208.amp/ , so not cool indeed to mention this. We hope and pray this doesn't happen again, but sometimes these things are out of our control. Best wishes.
Receive no goods or service, and got no refund.
Nicholas_R, Nov 2022
Experience was awful right 15 minutes late the tour was gone and I denied been denied any kind of refund very poor form very poor form very poor policy. I will make sure your friends family will never use Viator or Europe Eats again.
Response from Host, Nov 2022
We are very disappointed that you missed the tour. Our guide did wait ten minutes for you, but that was our maximum as we had to get started and proceed with our other guests, plus we have reservations at our restaurants that we must adhere too. Our customer service team gave you details for the second stop, so you could meet the guide there (actually this was so close to the meeting point, our guide was expecting to meet you there) but unfortunately you didn't respond to our messages anymore (we don't know why, if you had this experience may have been better for you) and we had to proceed. Refunds cannot be made as restaurants were prepaid for all the food we ordered for you, hence our 24hr policy. I hope that makes sense.
East end food and history.
Diane_D, Oct 2022
Food and conversation was excellent. Cara was our guide and she was terrific. Large diversity in types of food. You will not go hungry.
A tour worth taking!
Irene_D, Oct 2022
What an interesting, vibrant neighborhood of London. We very much enjoyed our tour, which included some history of the area, as well as varied and delicious foods. There were several other foods tours we looked into taking. Glad we booked this one!
Food surprises to try.
Diane_R, Oct 2022
What an amazing experience. A blend of food tasting and architecture, culture and history. Food items were the best I’ve tasted. Wonderful surprises and unexpected foods. Katie was fantastic. Highly recommend. We’ll worth the money.
A not-to-be -missed London food experience!
Betha_L, Oct 2022
We loved everything about the London East End food tour - our tour guide, Niall, was personable and very knowledgeable about the food history and cultural history of the area. He did a great job interacting with the group with just the right amount of personal anecdotes and getting everyone involved in discussion. Job well done!
A Must When in London!
Meagan_P, Oct 2022
My husband and I love doing food tours whenever we travel. It's the best way to immerse yourself in the culture! Lauren was our tour guide and I found her to be a breath of fresh air. Not only was she knowledgeable but also funny and charming! The tour had an enjoyable combination of history and fun facts! The places Lauren highlighted in the tour were also fantastic. Every thing we sampled was delicious. What really stood out to me was that Lauren expertly addressed having to change one of the tour sites on the spot as they could not accomodate us as planned. Lauren was prepared with an arsenal of neighborhood options in her back pocket. She handed the situation calmly and ensured that our tour ended on a successful note. Excellent job!
Response from Host, Oct 2022
We agree! What better way than a food tour to immerse yourself in the local culture. Lauren is our East Ender and knows all the best places to go- so we are glad she was able to take you to another place in her little black book of foodie finds!!
Great tour
Deborah_S, Oct 2022
It was a great experience. We would have never have sample the foods we tried on the tour by ourselves. Wear walking shoes
London good eats

Josh was an amazing tour guide. We have never been to East London before and we were totally surprised about the history, selection of foods and breweries. Definitely recommended this tour. Cheers!
Must Go Food Tour!
LintonWarren_N, Sep 2022
Josh was fantastic in bringing us through the food tour. Food we tried, from warm dessert, bagels to fish and chips and lemon meringue pie with tea were awesome! I enjoyed the bite size history he shared of the Spitalsmarket and the buildings around. Josh told us the story of early immigrants and the industries developed there . Josh took good care of the Group and we were amazed! Thanks Josh for bringing out the green pea sauce! We love it!
Response from Host, Sep 2022
Thanks so much from Josh and the team at Eating London. We are glad you enjoyed the bite size pieces of food and history! We hope you ate your mushy peas- we had to put some green on the tour, hahaha ;)
Great food and history of the East London neighborhood
Mary_Z, Aug 2022
Tour was great! Max did an excellent job teaching us about the history of the neighborhood in between our food stops. We did a decent amount of walking in between each stop and it was good to have some time to digest in between each stop as every stop had a really good amount of food. The tour lasted a bit longer than I expected, from 11-3:30, I really enjoyed it and felt like I got my money's worth! We were with a really nice group of 5 total, including 3 solo travels and one couple. I was one of the solo travelers and would highly recommend to anyone including solo travelers.
Response from Host, Aug 2022
Thanks so much Mary for your feedback!! We love to entwine history and food together and make sure everyone does get there moneys worth!! That is of upmost importance to the team here at Eating Europe. So thank you and we hope to see you again on another one of our tours!!
Excellent guide and great experience
Wendy_M, Jul 2022
We had a great time on this tour! Our guide, Cara, was delightful, engaging and informative. The food was varied and delicious, too. Highly recommend for a great walk through the East End!
Worth the price!
Anne_V, Jul 2022
This was such a lovely way to explore the East End part of London. Got to experience good food with a little bit of history facts from our tour guide, Josh. I would recommend this to friends and family! Plus, the crumble was to die for!
