What To Expect

Choose a convenient evening start time and meet your guide near Trafalgar Square for a journey through the city’s gruesome history. Board the ghost bus—a 1960s Routemaster with its own dark history—grab a seat in the shadowy lower or upper deck, and peek out the window as your coach winds through the sinister streets of the capital city.

With such a long and bloody history, many of London’s most esteemed landmarks—such as the Houses of Parliament, St. Paul’s Cathedral and London Bridge—come with a side of infamy and mystery. Pass the Tower of London, where many tyrants (and the occasional innocent) met their death by ax, and Westminster Abbey to learn about the ancient royal tombs that were discovered there.

As you ride, hear chilling tales of London’s most prolific hauntings, deadliest diseases, and most depraved characters. Keep your wits as your guide recounts the Whitehall Mystery, a grisly murder case from the 19th century where neither the victim nor the killer were ever identified. Hear chilling tales of the black dog of Newgate Prison and of Sweeney Todd, the demon barber (and butcher!) of Fleet Street.

Your tour returns to the departure point with plenty of time to grab food or drink to warm your chilled soul.

Bring your earplugs!!!!

Instructor was so loud h That you couldn’t even hear what he was saying. He was literally screaming. The whole comedy skit was not funny and not necessary. Would have been nice to have a normal ghost tour. The only thing I liked was the bus.

Excellent value! The trip was very entertaining and a lot of gory history was revealed! Our conductor Edward Sullen made it really fun.

Fun evening

My extended family of thee adults took the Ghost Bus Tour of London in March 2023, and we had a fun evening. Our guide was very entertaining, and made a point of correlating fact and fiction in our adventure. The only down side was the humid conditions fogged the bus windows, making it difficult to see outside during the our trip.
Ghost bus extraordinaire

The tour guide was fabulous - funny, entertaining and informative. The tour of London with the lights was magical, what a city we live in and what amazing history.

Really funny moments and excellent conductor. A little short however with many opportunities to improve the offering easily (more actors, food and drinks…)
Campy great entertainment

It wasn’t scary at all for me and I don’t believe it was really designed to be scary, so don’t come with the expectations of being frightened. That being said, it’s an interesting way to see London at night, the bus seatings have been modified and got a vintage look, which I found cool. The guide worked super hard on his commentary and performance so kudos to him!

bad Traffic in the Buss in that timing, and for the Price i did expect something more interesting than trash talking . (they have a full room for improvments that can be Done) i went in 28 January , at 9:00 PM
So much missed potential. Pity.

Bus was great but the tour was poor. The conductor / guide spent whole periods of time yelling ‘my bowels, my bowels!’ In an attempt to fill time between sights and traffic lights which seems ridiculous given how much relevant creepy and blood-thirsty historical stories could have been told instead. Not worth £19 a head at all and poorly researched. I’m all for some theatre and tongue-in-cheek humour but it wasn’t even funny! Don’t bother.
Nothing to do with Ghosts - very underwhelming.
Scott_F, Jan 2023
Had absolutely nothing to do with ghosts. I originally booked this pre covid for my brothers 40th birthday. Definitely wasn’t t worth the wait. The guy doing the comparing was very good, welcoming and funny but the tour itself was very underwhelming. Sorry.

The bus looked impressive and suitably haunted. The guide, Cedric, was brilliant. He interacted with everyone, was hilarious and very well informed. Would definitely recommend
Not your typical city tour
Millicent_V, Jan 2023
The Ghost Bus is full of surprises and may send a shiver down your spine. Our conductor, Edward, is either a gifted actor or an escaped lunatic. Scary stories and an energized atmosphere combine to provide an entertaining taste of historic London at night. We had a lot of fun.
Disappointing at best

I did this tour years ago with my husband and it was great, this time I must say, I was embarrassed I even suggested it to a friend. NOT worth the money I paid! :(
Great time

The bus itself & the performance of the Guide. Just wish there had been spots where we got off the bus to get a close up look at some sites.
they cancelled so couldn’t go
Mark_G, Dec 2022
Hard to say - they cancelled the tour the day before so a very disappointed 8 year old. Couldn’t offer a space in a tour we could do over the next 2 days in london
Awful communication, awful service - never again. My 9 year old was so disappointed!
Louise_D, Dec 2022
Nothing the bus didn’t turn up. I waiting until 8:30pm in the freezing cold, tried to call the number on the bed stop and in my booking confirmation. The driver of Christmas lights bus managed to somehow make contact and informed us our bus was not coming! Seriously on Boxing Day! Huge disappointment!
Fun ride

Great fun for a potted history of London’s gory past. Not too scary so fine for older kids. Would recommend
