Just okay
Russ_P, Jun 2023
Ian was great, but it's a very Boomer-centric tour that focuses mainly on 60s British Invasion musicians and bands. The stop at the tiny record store was not necessary. We were probably the youngest folks on the tour by a good 20 years. Again, our guide Ian was great, very nice and knowledgeable.
Waste of 3 hours!
Deanna_O, May 2023
Honestly our guide wasn’t on his game. He repeated himself a minimum of 3 times for everything he said. When we went to make a “bathroom” stop about halfway through, we weren’t allowed to go in. Obviously made us think he just decided to stop at some random place for some reason. Unless you knew the managers of bands and there record labels this tour had us at a loss. Drive by “expensive” hotels and say this person or that person stayed there. Well I could have assumed that on my own. Literally the only place we stopped in 3 hours was Abbey Road. Would not recommend.
Fabulous music plus lots of laughter equals brilliant tour!
Maree_R, May 2023
We spent the whole day exploring British music history with the fabulous Clive. What a guide! Clive shared his passion for music through his knowledge and personal experiences, and he has a great sense of humour. Walking on the Abbey Road crossing was a highlight, as was the little music shop just around the corner. Thanks for a brilliant day Clive!!! We highly recommend this tour!!
Thank you fellow rocker, driver Ian!
Michelle_S, May 2023
Ian was absolutely amazing!!! He was so on point with all the performer tidbits and places of interest. LOVED his personality, safety and attention to each of our needs and specific band interests! The Mercedes can was also incredibly comfortable. Really made a music enthusiasts trip even more special! THANKS IAN!
So Much Fun!
Bryce_B, May 2023
So much fun! Jim was a great guide (and driver). We were on the 3 1/2 hour tour and saw so many important rock history sights. I would definitely recommend it!
A+++ Great Tour!
Shawn_W, May 2023
Really good tour! Tour guide really knows rock and roll history. Knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Really enjoyed the tour A+++. Highly recommend, great for a Sunday morning when roads and traffic are light.
A must for fans of 70's rock bands.
Erickson_M, Apr 2023
If you're a fan of 70's bands then this is a tour for you. We found it fascinating to walk where the rockstars used to walk and hang out. I think this is a tour worth doing.
Fun and worth it
Laurie_D, Apr 2023
Knowledgeable and fun. Loved that it was a comfortable coach ride and that I was able to see so much of the city
Rockin with Collin
Jeff_G, Apr 2023
Collin has fantastic knowledge of the London rock scene, went far beyond the call to see we were comfortable and entertained.
Great tour- do this!
Eric_S, Apr 2023
If you’re a rock fan, you gotta do this. This tour was the highlight of my London trip. Ian was an incredibly knowledgeable guide with a great sense of humor. We saw so many places, and I learned so much! Shout out to our fantastic driver, Joanne, too :)
Fun music tour
Angela_T, Mar 2023
The music tour was very fun and interesting. Just the right amount of time. Abby Road studios was cool!
Best way to see the rock side of London
Amy_F, Mar 2023
This tour had it all due to our tour guide Ian Luck having so much extra knowledge and enthusiasm. He gave us more then I would have expected. Crossing the street at Abbey Road was on my bucket list forever and that was the highlight.
Memories to last a lifetime!
Steven_G, Feb 2023
What a great tour for anyone interested in the roots of classic rock! You will see many famous locations, including Abbey Road Studios where there is an actual gift shop! The crosswalk while touristy, provides a unique connection with the past. The guide was informative and funny. Just an overall great afternoon.
Bait and switch

This is an excerpt from a private message I sent to Viator, 12 days ago, hoping that they would respond in a professionally manner. They still have not responded: We were on your half day tour with Steve 12/30/2022. The tour is described as a small (limited to 16) group in a small coach. Instead we had a large bus with approximately 35 people (and there were 8 no shows ). This severely degraded the experience. We spent considerable time waiting on the bus, had difficulty hearing Steve as his style is casual and he is soft spoken. In essence we purchased an elevated product and were placed on an inferior tour that we never would have scheduled. We also had two of our relatives who live in London join us, and were somewhat embarrassed for our suggesting this tour.
Response from Host, Jan 2023
Hello, We replied to your email the day following, 03 Jan 23. I will re-send that as a private message shortly. There have been some tech issues between our system and Viator recently, IT is aware and is fixing such. Thank you for alerting us to the issues. I presume that is also the cause of the email not connecting properly. The Classic Rock London tour is a panoramic tour and the commentary and core route is the same regardless of vehicle size. Each individual guide adjusts slightly as to each individual day's conditions (traffic, band wishes from guests on board etc) but, again, the core is the same. The tour goes out in a variety of vehicles - 16, 19, 22 and 53 seaters. This is stipulated in our terms. The max capacity is listed as 45 guests. As a panoramic tour, guests view places of interest from the coach and are off the vehicle for the Abbey Road crossing photo op. Any additional time off the vehicle is a bonus, guide's choice if time and traffic conditions permit. We do our best to make the guests comfortable but each individual will have their own 'ideal' with regard to heat/AC, music and commentary volume. The tour guide is on a microphone, equal volume throughout the vehicle. If anyone has difficulty hearing, the guide is able to adjust on the day if they know about it. It is rock and roll, we are flexible, and do our best to create an enjoyable experience for all guests. Thank you. Best Regards, Kate
Too rushed and desorganized
AlejoDaniel_R, Nov 2022
The Guide was ok but it was the first time pairing with the driver. The driver didn’t knew where to slow down or where he could speed up, so we pass through all the spots too fast.
Awesome tour for rock fans
Doug_S, Nov 2022
The guide was great and very knowledgeable. We enjoyed the rock history and the added touch of playing music on the bus that was reflective of what we were seeing.
Great experience
Jim_T, Nov 2022
This was a nice ride through London. The van has huge windows so you can see everything easily even though you're in a vehicle, and it makes stops at all the places you'd want to get out and grab a photo. Clive was our host and he was fantastic. He looked like Eric Clapton which was a bonus.
Boys trip!
Sarah_M, Oct 2022
Booked this tour for my music mad son and brother in law. Unfortunately the van broke down but rather than cancel the guide persevered on foot! The boys said it was amazing, the guide knew so much and they went to so many places and learnt so much! Highlight for my boy was of course Abbey Road - he hasn’t stopped talking about it. Amazing thank you for giving them a great experience :-)
This tour absolutely rocks!
Donald_G, Oct 2022
Ian was a superb guide to the rock and roll history of London! He was so funny and knew the fine details of the music and musicians’ history well beyond pointing out the sites. I loved how this tour was like a rock history master class. The assumption going in was you knew the music and you knew the rock stars. So we spent the time on the fine details. This is a must-do if you are a rock music fan going to London. Ask for Ian for the best of this superlative tour through London.
Awesome tour and guide!
Carolyn_R, Oct 2022
