What To Expect

Add a little adrenaline to your California vacation with this Los Angeles paragliding adventure above the famous coastal town of Malibu. This relaxed outdoor activity, offering incredible bird's eye views of the area's rolling hills and scenic beaches, is sure to give you the ride of a lifetime.

Begin your paragliding trip at Malibu's Carbon Beach (sometimes the flight will leave from Ojai depending on wind conditions), with flights departing every 30 minutes between 12 and 5pm. Your exact time will be scheduled upon confirmation with the tour operator. Receive a short safety briefing from your instructor, then get suited up by strapping into your paragliding harness alongside your experienced pilot.

Your paraglider is an inflatable nylon "wing" that fills with air just like a parachute, allowing an incredible sensation of floating as you glide on the nearby air currents. Depending on the option you've selected, you'll either take a 20-minute motorized ride off the beach, or a more traditional 30-minute non-motorized ride, which will depart from the top of a nearby bluff.

As you glide gently into the sky, your pilot will handle the steering so you can focus on simply enjoying the incredible views. Check out the amazing vistas of the Pacific Ocean and the hills of Malibu down below, perhaps snapping a few pics to remember your amazing flight. Finish your exhilarating ride with a landing back on Carbon Beach.

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

We waited until 11am so the clouds could clear. We went up to a high point in the mountains. My guide, Claude, was experienced and confident. It was extremely important that I listen to his take off instructions which I did. I was scared but pushed the fear aside and trusted that the wind would carry us which it did. Because I did not get sick, and he did not have other clients at that time, he kept me in the air for quite a long time. The view of the mountains and ocean was spectacular. After everything that has gone on in our world over the last two years, it felt good to be alive to experience such an exhilarating, energizing, awe-inspiring encounter with the natural world. I highly recommend his company and the experience of you are a thrill seeker. You won’t be disappointed.

Misti seems to be an expert in the field. If so, I recommend you find a mountain and learn how to fly by yourself. You will then find out that we can not control the weather and also the time of day you fly will make a big difference in the quality of the flight. Plus if you are overweight you often get a shorter flight.

Very strange review and to be honest I do not see anything relevant that can help someone decide if they want to Paraglide or not. Anyway, Paragliding in Malibu with me is an amazing experience as I have over 34 years of experience now and I never stopped learning but I can not control how people behave during take off and landing, even after explaining it on my website and before and during the flight. I still enjoy helping people discover this amazing French sport!

This was without a doubt one of the most memorable experiences of my life. I took the flight on the last birthday of my 50's, challenging myself to make a leap from 3000 feet despite being fearful. I checked that Claude had a perfect safety record, and he made me feel calm. It was more like being lifted off the cliff rather than jumping, and Claude was very skillful and confident in what he was doing. I would do it again.

We just flew over the same spot for twenty minutes, maybe we could have gone out a little further. I was surprised the instructor did not have any liability paperwork to sign and ask us a few more questions before taking us up. Also, I was the first to book and he seemed to have more people and take them out of order. I went second.

Servicio pésimo, nada profesional. Teníamos contratados dos vuelos en parapente como regalo de boda, que consistía en 10 minutos de explicación de seguridad y 30 minutos de vuelo. Entre mi vuelo y el de mi marido nos hizo esperar más de 4 horas y debido a dicho retraso perdimos el tiempo que teníamos para visitar LA, no nos dio ninguna explicación de seguridad y el vuelo sólo duro 9 minutos.

Svårt att komma i kontakt med arrangören, han kunde inte bestämma en tid med oss på avtalad dag trots vi gjorde flera försök. Vi hade sms kontakt dock på avtalad dag och sa att vi skulle vara framme 13:30, väl på plats fick vi vänta i 80min. Hela hans sätt var oförskämt, vilket gör oss besvikna.
