What To Expect

On this exciting Kaanapali zipline tour, meet your guide just minutes from the resorts and Lahaiana, and strap in for an off-road journey up the slopes of Mauna Kahalawai. Also known as the West Maui Mountains, these slopes are 1.5 million years old and hold deeply eroded valleys.

At the start of this zipline course, take a moment to drink in the views of the Hawaiian islands before you, with the panorama stretching from Kahoolawe on your left to the summit of Molokai on your right. Staring directly in front of you, however, are Maui’s eroded ravines, which you criss-cross at speeds that get your cheeks flapping as you zip your way down towards the coast.

In total, expect to hike as you walk between the lines and view a lush valley. Throughout the tour, your knowledgeable guides provide history lessons and explain the island’s geology, as well as discuss the wildlife and plants that call the mountain slope home.

There are more ziplines you need to cross before eventually reaching the bottom, where you transfer back to the Kaanapali office and turquoise shoreline below.

This was our favorite excursion for our entire trip. Our guides, Dylan and Wes, were absolutely hilarious. They joked around with our group for the entire time, which made the trip way more fun and interesting. The views of the valleys and ocean were all-encompassing, and you can see a lot of Maui from the top. The ziplines were exhilarating and thrilling, and our guides made sure we stayed safe and relaxed. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a fun adventure in a gorgeous place.

Excellent tour guides, very helpful, informative and encouraging. They kept the group moving along at a good pace and were there to assist at every take off and landing. If you like mountains and an ocean view you'll enjoy this tour. I found my harness uncomfortable, and there was no point during the trip when they readjusted harnesses that may not have cured the problem, anyway.

This was well worth the time and money. Note though, you don't need to buy a phone holder in one of the cases on our trip, the phone ripped off of the brand new phone holder anyway - best to store it in a borrowed fanny pack or just leave it behind. At least with the fanny pack you can pull the phone out, take pictures and put it back in safely. The guides were great, very funny but also very professional. Had no fears of safety, it was my first time zip lining. Recommend big time!

Well organized from registration right through the end. You can rent GoPro cameras there at a reasonable price. They drive you to the start of the course so unlike other courses you aren't exhausted before even starting. Our guides Laulile and Folau. They were great- always felt safe with them and they are hilarious. This is my second time ziplining and they definitely made it worthwhile.wonderful views of kaanapali. i would definitely do it again on a return trip.
