What To Expect

Hop aboard your vessel in Lahaina and settle in on the upper observation deck or the enclosed main cabin with large viewing windows. Commentary is provided as you go, along with images from an under web cam and hydrophone (subject to water conditions) for additional visibility.

This tour operates during the whale migration period from December until May, when humpback whales come to Maui’s warm waters to breed, a 3,500-mile (5635 km) departure from their feeding waters in Alaska. Keep your eyes peeled as your captain and crew help to point out any marine life that pops up, and soak up the stunning backdrop of the island’s coastline.

This tour has multiple departures times to fit your travel schedule, and concludes at its original departure point.

Due to new Homeland Security Procedures all passengers may be subject to a random search of their personal effects (including carry ons) and all passengers must be able to provide identification upon the request of vessel personnel as proof of his/her identity. Due to these changes it is imperative that each guest have a valid ID with them at all times.
Check-in minimum 30 minutes prior to departure of tour at the Lahaina Cruise Company booth on the Main Loading Dock, next to construction site.

It was So less crowded than the cheaper cruises; well worth the price!

It was fairly inexpensive so I wasn’t sure if it would be good, but it was amazing!

Tables on top deck make it quite hard to get to other side when there is a whale

We loved all the information the captain gave us about whale behavior! The captain’s helpers were fantastic and checked on everyone frequently to make sure we didn’t need anything and that we weren’t feeling sick. We got close up to the whales without getting too close and the captain was very respectful of their space! We absolutely LOVED IT! My four year old was on her first boat and she had a blast! She asked if we could go back out again tomorrow!

We have been on many whale watching over the year. First time we ever saw calve breach and it did so multiple times. Adult breached right in front of the boat. Great and knowledgeable skipper who took care not to harass the family.

It was a great trip and we saw lots of whales. The captain got us close to several pods and we even observed 6 different whale breaches. The captain also had a wealth of knowledge about whales and shared that info as we were observing.

Excellent whale watch. Staff was friendly, boat had plenty of seating, boarding was easy, and it was easy to find. This was worth the cost of the tickets. Definitely bring a hat and sunscreen, and wear shoes you feel secure and stable in, the boat rocks.
