      Check-in 7.30am. Google Maps 233 Maalaea Road, places you in front of US Coast Guard building. The pier is to your left. Walk onto the pier, turn left and go to the very end. Look for the large white boat with black and gold trim that says Pride of Maui on its side.

    The crew was amazing. Not only was it a snorkeling adventure but the captain also took us on a little whale watching detour. We got to see lots of fish and a sea turtle. The slide was a huge hit for my family. Captain Jason was very helpful with my 6-year-old and my son loved it. The whole crew was so nice and helpful. My husband greatly enjoyed joking with the first mate. She was so much fun to be around. Breakfast and a hot lunch just made the day that much better. Definitely recommend the Pride of Maui for your snorkeling experience.

    The crew was all super nice, attentive, and knowledgable. Kept the ship/bathrooms clean the whole trip. Crew came around with drinks often. Thoroughly explained all instructions for snorkeling, weather conditions and expectations for the voyage. The hot cooked lunch after snorkeling was great to have after a long morning on the boat.

    ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! We saw a ton of different fish at the crater with MANY whales along the way. Did not see any turtles at the second snorkel spot, can’t control nature!! All in all trip was great would definitely recommend for all ages. Staff were efficient and friendly!!

    The snorkeling at the crater was ok but so much better at Turtle Town the second location. The best and totally unexpected thing was whales were in Maui from Alaska! What an incredible sight!!!

    Captain and crew were awesome and so very nice. Due to wind and rough waters we couldn't start with the crater Snorkeling spot so the Captain moved on to another spot which we all appreciated. On the way back we saw so many whales, some so close to our boat, that we don't even need to do a whale watch! Thank you!!

    With so many choices of snorkeling tours it can be hard to choose wondering how it will be, I chose The Pride of Maui Tour and it did not disappoint captain Patrick and his crew Matt, Olivia, and Hannah were awesome! From the communication, instruction and friendliness I was impressed! Although due to past weather we were not able to do Turtle Town but in exchange we got a whale watch show heading out and back in to Molokini Crater, Captain Patrick took the opportunity to give us a show like no other we seen a ton of whales and he took the time the park the boat several times and give tutorials on what he was seeing with the whales it was a’mazING!!! We had such a great time and when we got to the snorkeling they were well prepared with everything you could need to make it easy for all ages and experience to snorkel! We also got extended time snorkeling too and seen tons of ocean life in the beautiful waters of Molokini, he then took us on a tutorial tour of the crater which I did not see any other tour doing while we were there! Lunch and open bar was also great! We had the best time!!! Highly recommend Captain Patrick and his crew for the Molokini Crater snorkeling tour on The Pride of Maui!! Thank you Crew! Tom & Keri

Captain Pat has been with us for over 25 years and is one of the most experienced skippers in the business. Born and raised on Maui, he definitely knows these waters and generously shares his wealth of knowledge and expertise with all our guests. Captain Matt is also US Coast Guard licensed and has been with us for over 15 years. Matt was First Officer and co-Captain, on this day. Having been mentored by Senior Captain Pat, he too has a deep passion and understanding of our local waters. Hannah comes from a background of guest services, has traveled the world, with family roots here on Maui. She too is passionate about the ocean and sharing with our guests. Olivia is our youngest crew member, who has delighted all of us by her youthful spirit and desire to accommodate our guests. She comes from a family of watermen and women, and is an avid surfer and water woman, born and raised on Maui. We are awesome, (your words), because of our team. I am very careful as an owner in building our team over the past 40 years in the business, though it is they who at the end of the day deliver an unsurpassed level of care and goodwill for our guests, which is why you experienced that extra time with the whales and had the opportunity to explore the back side of Molokini.     The best part of the trip was seeing so many whales on the way out and on the way back on. We saw lots of breaches, jumps and whale tails. It was awesome!

    This is that magical time of the year when the whales migrate to Maui in large numbers for berthing. It’s an amazing opportunity for some of the very best whale watching in the world.

    They don’t make it clear in any way that you CANT BRING spray sunscreen, full face snorkeling masks, or serve alcohol TILL THE VERY END although advertised as “alcohol included”. Crew was kind, they tried very hard to get us near whales which was very sweet. “Breakfast “ is a small muffin and a couple pieces of fruit which seemed a tad misleading. We had a good time but felt the overall thoroughness of the description could have been better.

    That is correct, this is not a booze cruise nor do we condone the use of sunscreens that are harmful to the reef. We do however provide “reef safe” sunscreen onboard which most of our guests appreciate. We serve a light breakfast (as advertised), of croissants, blueberry muffins, fresh Island fruit, fresh juices and Maui grown and roasted coffees. This is so our guests are not overfed before snorkeling and can therefore comfortably enjoy swimming at the crater and coral reef. Lunch is a hearty. BBQ cooked fresh right onboard, featuring big, juicy hamburgers, jumbo hot dogs, marinated breast of chicken, veggie burgers, with all the fixings, and topped with with home made white chocolate chip cookies baked fresh daily. Your safety is our number one priority, which is why the open bar is available upon completion of snorkeling for the last hour of the cruise, or sooner if you choose to only snorkel at the first location and sit out the second snorkel stop. Our website provides very thorough and concise information regarding all the details of our excursions.
