We had a great experience with Kapena. It is definitely worth it to have a private tour. He gave us a lot of information about different places on the island we simply wouldn’t have known. We stopped when we wanted and it wasn’t rushed as some tour buses seem to be.

It was a great tour. Marcus personalized our trip for us to see and do the things we wanted. We are not into hiking so we did not include that in our itinerary. He stopped at all the great places, gave us the time we wanted at the beach and waterfall views, extra restroom stops when needed. He stayed with the jeep so we could feel safe leaving our bags in the jeep as we saw the sights. Was very glad we did not drive the Road to Hana ourselves the first time on it.

Eyan, our guide, made the trip very special with lots of stories and insights about Maui. We both love nature and his knowledge of the flora and places we stopped made it educational and fun, plus we both could watch and enjoy instead of driving!!! Well worth it in every aspect!

A "tour artist"

This tour was the highlight of our trip. ScottyJo was truly a "tour artist". We saw waterfalls and views that no other visitors saw that day. ScottyJo took the time to stop and share things as other tour vans and drivers flew past and completely missed. ScottyJo truly loves giving this tour and it shows. I will not give away any of his secrets but from start to finish he works hard to make sure this trip with him is better than any other tours out there. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking for a great way to see and learn about the island.

What an amazing time we had with Marcus on the Reverse Road to Hana!! Marcus told us so many interesting facts, and really showcased his knowledgeable of the island. He took us to some great secluded areas that you couldn't get to unless in a jeep. He took us to meet Uncle Sammy and see his property. Marcus knew I wanted to see black sand beaches and took us to two. He waited patiently at each stop, never rushing us or telling us it was time to go. He was not afraid of silence in the jeep, and we appreciated not being talked at the entire time. We stopped at a great little roadside cafe for lunch. Marcus had plenty of cold beverages which were much appreciated. At the end of the trip he even stopped so we could get amazing Shave Ice. His personalization of the trip was amazing. He owns the company and said he was filling in for a driver. It was easy to tell that he has a passion for what he does. Mahalo Marcus! You made Maui memoralbe!

Best way to see Hana!!

We absolutely loved this tour. Our tour guide was Chris and he was awesome! He was friendly ,funny and very informative about Hana and Maui. We saw all there was to see in absolute comfort. Definitely the way to see Hana vs doing a larger tour as this was much more intimate. Plenty of stops for sight seeing, food and shops. Can’t recommend enough this is the way to see Hana!

Incredible day experiencing the entire Road to Hana. Our tour driver Daisy was fantastic and really made us feel like we were part of the family. We were so glad that we booked this tour instead of driving ourselves so that we could enjoy the day without any stress. We would not have seen even a fraction of what Daisy showed us had we done it ourselves. We got to see some remote/secluded parts of the area and dodged the crowds all day. Unfortunately, we could not do the reverse road to Hana because previous storms had a few sections closed. Our driver, ScottyJoe, clearly communicated this when he picked us up and the Company promptly gave a refund for the difference in tour prices. The Road to Hana was great. ScottyJoe did a great job navigating the sights so we arrived when very few people there. He made many stops along the way for pictures. He did not rush us when we got the sites and have us plenty of time to walk around. For lunch, He brought us to a very good BBQ food truck that is family run - Braddah Hutts. There plenty of cold water, ginger ale, and juices in the Jeep for us to drink. It was a very pleasant day and highly recommend this tour. After seeing the roads first hand, I would have been so nervous driving the tricky roads myself and would have missed many of the sights that ScottyJoe pointed out. This was done first class!

If you’re thinking about doing the road to Hana, do it with this company. My mom (76 years old) and I had a fabulous day. We saw countless waterfalls, beautiful beaches and views that take your breath away. Our guide, Nani was a dream. She’s funny, joyful, informative and simply a delightful person. I was sad when it was over. Don’t hesitate, book it now. You’ll thank me later!!
