Incredibly fun experience

Ryan!! Ryan was such a fun and enthusiastic tour guide, he made the experience all the more memorable! He told us in the beginning you retain more information while learning if you are having fun and he was right! Through the remainder of our trip on this beautiful island we kept pointing out the plants we had learned about on the tour and made us feel more immersed in our experience here. And of course the chocolate tour at the end where we learn fun facts about cocao and how to make our own which we now plan to do at home! I would recommend this tour for everyone , families included. The hike was very easy, just wear some good shoes, pack some bug spray and you are in for a real treat! Maholo Ryan for your awesome mana and Aloooooooha!

Ryan is the best! He was very welcoming from the start and was just a joy to be around. It was so much fun learning about the Hawaiian Agriculture, ancient history and the brain games. Ryan spoke slowly and made sure that we were taken care of the entire tour. Thank you for being kind and Alooooooooooooha Ryan!

Great short hike, beautiful flowers, Ryan was a great tour guide. If you get to Twin falls turn around and go back to the loop. The ride there is great also.

Ryan was very awesome Chocolate was not as expected but was great. Learned alot about the different plants and flowers wasn’t that long a hike had about 15 in group and Ryan waited for everyone even older people and answered every question. This is really worth it but do it early as it could be hot later in day. Then go on to Road to Hana Wayne

Memorable experience of Maui’s rainforest

The “hiking” is low level but scenic and the chocolate tasting experience along with the knowledge shared was good. The picture advertising the waterfall is very misleading. What you do see is a private one from a distance. Hard to take pictures. Ryan was our guide and was enthusiastic and engaged everyone. He showed great patience with the children’s curiosity and questions. Overall a memorable experience of Maui’s rainforest.

Superb Waterfall Hike

This was my very first excursion and it was an amazing one. I love chasing waterfalls, so I was ready for the experience 😃! This was the first time hiking through a rainforest - but I enjoyed it! Our tour guide, Angelo was so very knowledgeable about all the different plants and trees that we encountered along our journey. He also photographed some of the best panoramic pictures that I took during the journey. During my tour, he also was so very helpful to an older couple, ensuring that we took regular breaks along the way. This was very considerate😃. We hiked to the waterfall where he took pictures of us with our phones and cameras. We also enjoyed the chocolate 🍫 tasting. As a added treat, he even made some chocolate for us during our time there. It was delicious 😋. It was a first class experience all around. When you book the excursion, make sure that you read the documents and emails that you are sent. The directions to the excursion will be included as well as the suggestion to wear long pants and/or long shirts. I would advise to wear long pants👖 or bring mosquito spray if wearing shorts. Angelo provided us with mosquito spray since we were wearing shorts. I enjoyed this excursion and I have posted more pictures and photos on my social media accounts (@travelfitguru), if you are interested in seeing more.

Best 2hrs in Maui!

What an amazing tour! This was the highlight of our short time in Maui. The hike is moderate intensity (uneven ground) but very safe and at a nice pace. Guide was so knowledgeable and gave lots of info on local plant life. The chocolate tasting was so fun & we had a special guest of some days old baby chicks running around with their mama. Best part is knowing the money spent on the tour goes right back into maintaining the lands and program they have.

Our tour guide Jeeva(sp?) was AMAZING! So knowledgeable & passionate about The Kings Garden-the history, culture & vegetation. He was FABULOUS with a great sense of humor & lots of patience for the younger members on the tour. The chocolate experience at the end was entertaining, educational & delicious. Wear lots of bug spray & covered shoes. The path can be a bit tricky at times. It IS after all, a micro rainforest!

Jiva was an amazing guide and we had a fantastic time! It’s like a little hike / walk through a garden while getting a lesson on Hawaiian plants, spirituality, rituals, history and of course the chocolate tasting. If you think you know chocolate…think again. This is next level but we won’t spoil it for you. Highly recommend.

Memorable off the beaten path experience

This was a lot of fun. We got to learn about the Hawaiian culture, got immersed in the local botanical beauty and got to learn about chocolate. The group was very small and intimate which I appreciated. The guide was knowledgeable and made the experience even better. I was glad that he let us use some of his bug spray. It was very kind of him.

When we told tour director that we were celebrating our 50th anniversary, he had us re-enact the Hawaiian commitment ceremony. We will never forget it. This was much more than we expected. Tour was great and chocolate was delicious! Highly recommend!
