If you you have a hard time with twisty, windy roads, I suggest having something prior to the start of the tour.

The black sand beach and the overlook in that area was stunning! To walk through a lava tube was a rush. The drive itself was an adventure!! We had the best driver -Christy. ( very knowledgeable and personable and very skilled)

Great to see Maui and hear about the history. There was questionable driving by the driver which Viator can contact me about. Also the leg room in this vehicle was not ok. If it had been a full van of folks, my family of 4 would have had to bow out of the trip. 12 hours eating your knees is just not ok.

Our tour guide Marty made the trip amazing! He was friendly, knowledgeable, helpful courteous. He went above and beyond taking care of 4 seniors, and 1 mobility walker. All this while still helping the other travelers. Marty was more than happy to share stories and tips about Maui and made sure all of his charges needs were taken care of. He made the trip!

Our guide, Malia, was excellent. She gave a great tour with a lot of history of the area and many other bits of information along the route. She was very familiar with the area including all of the waterfalls, stories about the people in the area, and information about the landowners past and present. I would highly recommend Malia to anyone wanting to take this trip to Hana.

The weather was initially rainy,but by the time we got across the island it was perfect. He kept ensuring us that we would have a great trip and we did. We didn’t even have to ask for water , he kept making sure we were hydrated/fed and in not too hot. 10/10

Road to Hāna tour

It was well worth the tour expense of not driving this road. It was a white knuckle ride on narrow one lane roads going across 100 year old bridges. However, Christine did a great job of driving and easing our fear, the sites along the way were breath taking. Christine was friendly, and has great public relationship Skills.

A+++ Done Hanna before driving myself. Having someone else drive it that's experienced was amazing. Plus the reservations for black sand beach are a month out now. So really the only way to go there now. Was a long day, but totally worth it. The waterfall was my favorite! It's cold water, but it warms up fast. Bring your swim socks/shoes!
