    Wish would have stopped...

Wish would have stopped more then driving almost all day. Was neat places. Didn’t stop anywhere for souvenirs like we thought we would.
Great tour to Hana. Money well spent

Charleston our guide picked us up on time and was very friendly. Comfortable bus with large windows. Our first stop was breakfast which was excellent and we got to meet the rest of the tour guests. Charleston made us comfortable and was very knowledgeable and charming. Lots of wit too. Perfect amount of stops and beautiful area
Exciting Trip to and from Hana!

What a memorable, beautiful trip! Randy was an amazing naturalist, historian and expert on all things Maui. Crazy weather enabled Randy to skillfully avoid downed trees and all sort of plant life in the road. No Indy driver could do better. The weather did not affect our enjoyment of the trip. Fun stops, good food, loads of information. Plus we had a trainee, Chong, who schooled us in more history, the mongoose and culture. The van was clean (when we started) and all employees were gracious. JoJo picked us up at our hotel. He shared his experiences growing up on the island. Truly a remarkable trip to and from Hana! I highly recommend!
    Love it

This was a trip full of memories of a life time. Our guide Travis went beyond being a driver. He fill us with history of the island. Helped us across the rocks at the waterfall so no one would slip and get hurt. Travis is one of the most interesting and cares about the islands nature and wildlife of anyone I have met. Thanks Travis for caring and sharing your heritage with us. Terry and Renee Youngman

My driver tour guide was excellent and rates among the top three tour guides I’ve been guided. He has an excellent grasp of the history of Maui and articulated his experiences as a native from Hana. His passion was palpable and he provided ample opportunity to experience and photograph what Hana has to offer.
    Okay

Maui is beautiful! The drive was good, it felt very safe. The stops were okay - they may go away with a souvenir stop.
Highly recommended on your first day

My family of 6 and I had such a great day of fun, because of our tour guide Yvonne! We can’t thank her enough for all the knowledge and experiences she conveyed through the entire day, not to mention being a confident driver throughout the curvy and narrow road. She went above and beyond and with such enthusiasm. She was so genuine when she said that she loves being a guide; it clearly showed. We all enjoyed the sites and the history behind them, the food and just being able to spend the time together. This tour is highly recommended. Our ages range from 16 months old to 79 years old
    AmazIng Hana Tour!!!!

Travis was amazing!! I would never book with another company. He provided a historical perspective that was genuine and entertaining. We never felt rushed and most importantly felt safe. His personal knowledge and experiences are unmatched.
    Okay trip, not great.

The scenery was beautiful, but the tour was incredibly long (11 hours) and our tour guide seemed to get frustrated on the return trip. Also, they definitely need to improve quality of lunches or offer a stop for lunch instead.
Great for our family with adult aged kids...

Our whole family loved the Road to Hana tour. Our guide, Travis, made it even more fun with all of his stories and ability to engage the whole group. Definitely recommend to others.
Excellent way to see the forests and coastline of Maui

This was a great tour to Hana, and everything we saw along the way was beautiful. Our driver Joe did a great job stopping everywhere that was worth stopping at and explaining what we were looking at, along with giving some history and personal anecdotes about the area. Joe picked us up from our rental condo right on time and gave us plenty of time to stretch our legs and walk around during various stops along the tour. I definitely suggest taking this tour instead of driving the road to Hana yourself.
    Wonderful journey !

I had a Fantastic and Wonderful Journey in the Hana road with my nice this year 2022. The driver, Joe, was a excellent guide and driver.

This was a great tour with lots of stops. The scenery was beautiful and saw lots of water falls. Our guide Yvonne was very knowledgeable and entertaining.
    Should have been better...
    Tammy_S, May 2022
The scenery was beautiful but the tour guide... In my opinion, Travis expressed too many personal opinions throughout the trip that were completely irrelevant. Again, my oponion - there were not enough stops for scenery and too many stops at family businesses.
Hana is beautiful no matter how you go but maybe better on another tour

So here is my honest opinion of this tour, since it was difficult to find thorough reviews. If you take any tour to Hana, you won’t be totally disappointed because it is a beautiful jungle rain forest land. It is worth a trip by tour or even by car. The road was not as wild as I imagined & I afterwards thought if i should’ve just drove my rental car. There are many many rental cars up there. While you’ll be glad you went on any tour, I would not pick this one if you have other options. For a few reasons- The first stop is a “tropical fruit plantation”. You don’t see a tropical fruit plantation you see a restaurant where you would assume you get tropical fruit. You get watermelon, cantaloupe & honeydew none of which are tropical lol. It was also incredibly hard and I was shocked at how unsweet it was. It was like gas station fruit essentially.. The second main issue, I went with this because it said it had vegan/vegetarian options. Most places these days can provide a satisfying accommodation if it says this. I was honestly shocked at what was provided….it was very slimy eggplant & squash pieces that had absolutely no flavoring, no sauce, no hummus, seriously nothing besides those wet veggies on two pieces of thick break, but both pieces of bread were completely soggy and falling apart from how wet the vegetables were… I am the kind of person who will eat anything. I’m not picky and I want to appreciate things that are provided. But this sandwich was literally inedible. I was glad I got a scoop of potato salad at the chicken place. It was really disheartening to be in the middle of no where with nothing but snacks I brought.. the chips they gave were also expired… I’ve done other tour bus tours & they provided drinks which is not hard or costly at all to have sodas… they had just waters. For the price, they really should put more care into it. You could give vegan people a vegetarian patty or hummus , anything besides soggy vegetables with absolutely no seasoning or sauce… and a few can drinks. Our driver also had a coke for her in the cooler. The pros were that at least her driving was good on the roads. It’s great to have a local guide who knows the area & can explain customs, culture, & the plants & animals. Some people seemed offended by how she answered questions because half of the time she wouldn’t or would make people feel stupid for asking. People were mostly quiet after that. There also was a guy who came on our bus & talked about Jesus, which I’m sure if you were Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, etc you might be like uhh why is this guy trying to convert me? But that’s religion.. There is a chance to get in the water on the black sand beach & by a waterfall. You will also stop by the rainbow eucalyptus tree for a photo. Make sure to look for mongooses, so cute. The lunch stop was also very pretty, but I wish we were able to tour the flower farm for just like ten minutes. Also don’t buy any fruit to take on the plane, they will take it. But of course eat some while you are there. There is a little stop with great lychees & pomelos ❤️
    A Maui Must-Do

Absolutely worth it! Every bit of the drive was gorgeous. It had just rained the day before, so some waterfalls that hadn't appeared in months were flowing. Our guide was super friendly & an awesome driver. Definitely recommend stopping to get the Huli Huli chicken if your driver mentions it.
