The offshore crater of Molokini has some of the best snorkeling spots in Maui—if you can reach them. Thankfully, this half-day snorkeling tour heads straight for Molokini and Turtle Town nearby on a 53-foot (16 meters) Lani Kai II boat with a 20-foot (6 meters) waterslide. Visit two snorkeling and Snuba locations, get the chance to spot blue whales, and enjoy onboard breakfast and lunch.

    Only advise is to arrive 30 minutes early because we had trouble finding the slip number and parking is hard to find and pay for.
    Don’t love wearing masks on a boat outside, but I guess that’s Maui for now.

    Best Excursion in Maui!

    This was such a great excursion! I will definitely be doing this tour every time I’m in Maui. My sister and friends did this tour together and we all agreed this was our favorite excursion because it has a lot to offer, snorkeling, whale watching, boat ride, awesome slide, and a nice breakfast and lunch. The crew was also amazing, especially Zade and Emily.

    The snorkeling was great and the crew and Captain were awesome. The Captain even stopped the boat on the way in to show us some whales that were close to the boat.

    Best snorkeling tour on the island. Captain Spence and his crew are awesome! They took every safety precaution and everyone felt so safe and comfortable. Everyone loved the slide too!

    This tour checked off both boxes for a whale watch and snorkel which were both excellent. Being able to snorkel two different spots was a highlight on the snorkel side.
    Too windy for Molokini crater

    It was a lot of fun, all 10 of us had a great time. A little bit of disappointment was that we never got to go to the Molokini crater, because of the strong winds, we did see fish& turtles & lots cool stuff, a few whales which was cool, the slide was awesome.

    This was a great trip! So laid back, and we had great weather! Thankfully! The crew was super amazing and kind!!! Chad, the captain, was so funny and so laid back. He played some chill music. Lunch and breakfast was provided on our tour and it was perfect!

    It was a very windy day The crew was able to find a hidden bay that allowed us to snorkel fir 3-4 hours Crew made it an awesome experience Best snorkel equipment I’ve ever used

    Great staff! Really helped us and made us comfortable with Snorkeling in the ocean, which was a first time for us and don't know to swim. Only downside is that they didn't rent any water proof cameras even though the ad said that. That was a disappointment as we couldn't get any pics. :(

    Traveled with four kids, and two adults that didn’t participate in snorkeling. Everyone had a great time. Crew was fantastic and friendly – very helpful with little ones including a four year old. Captain was thoughtful and trying to get us to the best places, with the most opportunity, given the weather. We were able to enjoy the slide – which all my kids thoroughly enjoyed!

    Captain Spence was great! Super knowledgeable and funny. The entire staff made everyone feel welcome. We saw dozens of whales, a pod of dolphins and a turtle! The slide was fun. It was the highlight of our trip.

    The Maui Snorkeling crew were accommodating, friendly, and knowledgeable. Despite some poor weather conditions, they ensured we found a good spot near the crater to snorkel. They provided bagels, muffins, coffee, juice, water upon arrival. Also provided sandwiches for lunch. We were a group of two couples who had a blast. My friend had never snorkeled and wears glasses. They helped her find a mask that she could see out of, as well as provided a brief lesson. Various flotation devices such as jackets, belts, and noodles are available. On the way back we saw plenty of whales since it's February. The team did a fantastic job of staying friendly while ensuring our safety.

    Wow, what an incredible morning! Even though the winds and waves brought challenges, Captain Chad and crew Dani and Walker did everything possible to make the 5 hour outing an amazing experience. And they succeeded! The whales were everywhere, the snorkeling was fantastic, and the crew served everyone as if we were all their ohana (family). We will definitely do this again the next time we're in Maui!

    This tour was amazing. Molokini crater was beautiful and time flew by we were having so much fun. I booked this tour specifically because it included Turtle Town. My heart sank when the captain slowed down to turn in but ended up driving off. (My daughter’s dream was to swim w the turtles.) But do not worry, he took us to an even more amazing spot where we saw turtles and in which I thought was even more beautiful for snorkeling than the crater. I later learned that this spot protected us from the strong winds which the captain was trying to avoid from us being bobbed around like a buoy at Turtle Town. This boat was smaller than many of the larger boats I saw out at the crater and I appreciated it because it felt more personalized. The captain was funny and both employees who helped on deck energetic, helpful and pleasant. It is nice to tour with someone who has not lost their zest for the industry.

    Snorkeling with the sea life was delightful. We saw many different kinds of fish in a variety of shapes and sizes. The team members were knowledgeable about the different species and helpful in giving us the basics for how to snorkel. Was well-organized and well worth the price. Only thing I would say is that the sandwiches they provided were wrapped in plastic wrap and the forks they gave were also plastic. Unfortunately, I witnessed two instances in which these items flew/fell into the ocean, and the crew decided not to go grab these items despite the fact that I informed them, joking that the fish would eat it. Given how delicate the marine ecosystem is and how much we know about the trash that is piling up in the ocean, it is a shame that the organization uses plastic to service customers rather than something more eco-friendly like paper. If it is a question of money, I would rather pay an extra few dollars to know that even if I lose something in the ocean, I am doing less/no damage to the environment.
