It was worth every penny, and James and Mike were great instructors and did a good job getting everyone going and surfing in no time at all.

A fun sibling bonding experience. My brother is a natural and I definitely struggle. Both of us were able to surf on our boards during the lesson. I will say though, there are lots of rocks at the beach and I got scraped and bruised up pretty badly. Just make sure you are aware.

Rock surfing will get you injured

The location for the lesson is horrible and dangerous. The beach is very sallow for a long time and is full with large 1-2 fee rocks. So you surf is 2-5 feet of water with 1-2 feet rocks. Obviously you’ll meet the rocks on your way down and that can be very very painful. Both me and my son landed on rocks and both of. Us are still suffering. I’ve surf is several other places and never experienced a beach so bad.

The instructor was good. I didn’t like where we were taken to surf. It was all large lava rocks that hurt when you fell on them, and I kept stubbing my toe and my knees on them when pushing my surfboard back out after riding a wave into shore. It was also scary jumping off the board close to shore because of the rocks. Also, it was very crowded where we were. I did get up on the board and ride some waves!

Our first time trying surfing was very fun. Our instructor Mike was very helpful, and a fun guy. He got us both up on our boards at the same time consistently. Ultimately the equipment is in average shape and not very advanced, but it gets the job done for a first time!

The lessons were for my 10 year old grandson. The instructor did a wonderful job explaining and practicing the techniques before going in the water. There were 5 people in the group and he had time to help each one. The photographer was in the water with them and we loved the pictures. I highly recommend this tour. My grandson was ready to go back that afternoon.

Amazing! Took my two boys ages 7 and 9. They got up on the board right away. The water was shallow, they could stand the whole time. Their surf instructor was fabulous! Ask for Michael, he was awesome!

Booked this for our two teens (19 &17). They are both lifeguards and so very comfortable in the water and the ocean. They had an amazing time loved every minute and were both able to get up a lot of time. We did a lot on this vacation and they both said by far this was the most fun activity! Total thumbs up!
