It's a 10 hours trip I recommend being prepared, since it might rain in the forest bring comfortable shoes, sunscreen, and lots of water
I don’t think this tour is good for people that have back problems because of the bumpy roads.

The road to Hana was a great experience. The views, scenery were spectacular but the best time was meeting other travelers and learning about the Hawaillian culture and history. Our tour guide Haili was a great source of information, funny and provided us a confidence in his driving skills to allow us safe passage. Road to Hana was a blast memories forever.

Damian was an excellent guide! He brought in his personal experiences of being a native Hawaiian. Kept us to schedule so we completed the full circle trip. It was awesome! Sandwiches, drinks and snacks were great and plentiful.

Our driver/guide Sheldon was amazing. He was so knowledgeable and friendly. He shared so much about plants and animals we encountered and the history of the island. I was traveling with my mom who has bad knees and walks with a cane. At every stop he was there to help her in and out if the van. Letting her hold on to his shoulder to steady herself. It was like traveling with a family member. Lunch was very good and the stops we made were beautiful. I would and will recommend this trip to anyone visiting Maui.

This company is very well organized from precise descriptions of what we would see, the time frame, not rushed but moving, and detail oriented. Emma's stories were that of a local who loves the area, the nature and the people. At the end of our trip,there was a 3 hour traffic stop, Emma and the company decided to let us out of the van in a mall so we could get something to eat, drink and other necessities. When traffic started to move, we were taken home safely and not too tired.

Kaili our tour guide was amazing! He said not to talk him up too much, so that the bar is set low and he can exceed it. But I think he shouldn't worry about that because you can't help but have a great time with him. He's from the area and knows everyone and everything. Loved that he added a personal touch to the tour by sharing his stories. It was also cool to pet cats everywhere. He has a warm, kind, friendly, and welcoming personality, and he helped create a fun and friendly atmosphere that helped the guests connect and continue to hang out even after the tour. He's been driving the road for years and knows it like the back of his hand (he's a great driver, and I felt comfortable and safe on the bumpy and winding roads). I really appreciate that he tells you when to get your cameras ready to take photos. The sandwich was filling, and there are lots of beverages and snacks available. We saw and did some cool things (like jump off a waterfall, go to a beach, and drive around the south side of the island - gorgeous scenery there). I think it's well worth it to join a guided tour to go on this road. That way, you don't worry about trying to take photos while driving on winding or bumpy roads, and food and sightseeing is organized for you. You'll have a great time. Give Kaili a raise!

Our driver/guide was exceptional. He knew history of the island and plant varieties. Was disappointed we did stop at the honey farm and wine place but all and all a wonderful experience.

Once in a lifetime experience that had great sights and information. Our local guide was very informative and provided a lot of insight that we would not have known if we had done this drive alone. Definitely a trip that I would recommend!

Captain Glenn and Courtney were our guides for a fabulous day! They were knowledgeable, funny, and informative. We learned a lot about Maui, its legends, plants and regions. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone coming to Maui. The lunch was delicious too!

Kā’ili was a wonderful tour guide. He was very entertaining and told many stories while traveling the road to Hana. I would highly recommend Hana and Beyond especially with Kā’ili as your tour guide. Views were, beautiful rainforest was beautiful, waterfalls were beautiful. It did rain a little too much and we had to turn around at the midpoint but we saw most of the main points we wanted to see. Overall great trip. Kā’ili had great knowledge about Hawaii and the history and culture of the island. He was able to answer all of our questions
