Erin was an amazing chef and teacher. She provided a lot of useful information about the history of the food we cooked and tips on how to find the best ingredients when we returned home. The class was completely hands on. We made seven different items from scratch. This is great regardless of your experience cooking.

A wonderful evening spent in Mexico City. Not only we had first hand experience of making tortillas and cocktails, but also we had a fine dining style meal. Chef Eduardo had experience in fine dining restaurants so both his food and cocktails were amazing. We also met a very pleasant couple to share the evening with. I think visiting the market to get the ingredients was also a nice touch.

We really enjoyed the cooking class with Eren. The trip to the market was informative and fun. I enjoyed the cooking process and Eren's stories. The food turned out really tasty and she was able to adjust the spiciness and heat level for all of us. I love to cook and now I feel able to attempt some Mexican recipies.

Luis and Jorge were a great culinary team! We learned so much from ingredients, prep, skills and execution! It was hard work but the food was the amazing payoff! Every dish was so delicious! Unfortunately we had 2 earthquakes during the end of our class! Luis took control of the group evacuated us to safety, clearly explained what was going on and made sure everyone was following directions. We were in excellent hands! Thank you so much!

GREAT CLASS WITH CHEF EDUARDO

I took this class with my father and I as a gift from my cousin. To say the least, Chef Eduardo was AMAZING! First and foremost, the kitchen that Chef Eduardo taught us in was absolutely stunning. We felt like we were transported into the early 1900s with the design/decor of the kitchen. In addition to the beautiful set up, it was evident that Chef Eduardo put so much thought, hard work, and passion in this course. In this class, he walks you from start to finish: you begin by going to the market to get the fresh produce, to cutting/cooking, to finally being served by Chef Eduardo himself. Throughout the whole time, he would ask us how we would prefer to proceed forward (i.e. would we like to have a dish X way or Y way, would we like to help chop, etc.), which was an extremely nice touch. Additionally, I HIGHLY recommend learning about Chef Eduardo's path to becoming a Chef. We had an absolute blast and would recommend him to others WITHOUT A DOUBT, and I will 100% take his class again when I come back!

What a wonderful experience! So much better than anticipated. First... you're doing this with other people... meaning new friends. It was fun cooking and eating with new people, and our crew all pitched in and had a blast. We can thank Chef E, for establishing an atmosphere of fun, learning, and teamwork. We can't say enough about how he mixed history of the neighborhood, history and description of the foods we were making and eating, instruction, and just a bit of silliness.... to make this a highlight of our trip to Mexico City. Every dish was an absolute delight. People were literally licking bowls. Don't miss this!!

Chef Eduardo and his team were superb. They made it fun and really upped my knowledge of shopping in the covered markets, the best ever salsa, hand made tortillas and specialty cocktails. Loved that the menu had a vegan option with huitlacoche (even though I eat everything the flavors and texture of tacos were wonderful). Highly recommend!

Disappointing cooking class experience

Upon arrival the chef Eduardo Landa asked if we wanted to upgrade the class and add cocktails for $20 each. Which we were fine with but his cocktails were not very well structured and thought through. Also, the chef was arrogant and not accommodating. My only recollection of the class is washing dishes. The dishes we prepared were average except the vegetarian tacos. It felt like a complete waste of $135 per person. Kitchen was small for 8 people, no recipes were shared or shown the cooking method in the kitchen. Market tour was a complete waste of time. I wouldn’t recommend this class to anyone.

We thoroughly enjoyed this hands on food experience as a family that included two teenagers. The chef was fun, entertaining and professional. We learned a lot about traditional Mexican (pre-Hispanic) cuisine, and were particularly fascinated to learn about herbs, spices and plant based foods. The recipes are easy to follow and ones that we will use at home when entertaining family and friends.
