It may seem a bit pricey but as first time visitors to Polanco it was worth it to taste the different foods, learn about the making and origins of the foods and to get a mini tour of the locale.

I highly recommend this tour, and request him as a guide if you can.

Viry was amazing! We walked around the neighborhood and she felt like a friend giving us information and recommendations. Also, the food was amazing! My mother and I are Mexican American and have experienced my grandmother’s cooking but this was the best rich mole I’ve ever had. Amazing tamales and some street tacos. 10/10 recommend. It wound up just being us 2 on a private tour and we had a blast

Victor was a great guide through the 7 food stops and the local history of the area. We ended up being the only ones on the tour, so had a very private experience! What am incredible tour! We had 7 stops, 2 were dessert and all were amazing! Our guide was a young and highly knowledgeable chef, Viridiana, and she was so thorough and patient with us. Some items were shared communally, so if you don’t like that, then this your may be challenging for you. The first stop was a tlayuda and freshly made salsa, made to order for the group’s level of heat! The second stop was tamales which we all share and tasted bites of 6 different cheese and chicken tamales! It was wow! We had tacos individually and there’s 2 different stops for 2 different types! Good thing we didn’t have any vegetarians as the pork places didn’t seem to have any substitutions. Those pork tacos were amazing though! The ice cream stop was heavenly and the hot chocolate at the end was divine. I’m sure I’m forgetting something, except to say that this is a fabulous walking food and history tour!

The guide was great. I give her 5 stars. She was informative and knew her history of Mexico. However, for the price is was not worth it at all. Our tour was the day tour and only included the tastings and beverages. Alcohol not included. The places we ate at weren’t that great. They were more upscale restaurants and nothing that wowed me or the people I was with. One place had a tuna dish and that was good. The food probably came out to$20 and we paid $100 for the excursion. Polanco is nice but there are other places I think would have satisfied our expectations. Those places we could have gone to on our own. This tour should have been $50 max.

Loved Bidi our tour guide. She is upbeat and very attentive and really made the neighbor of Polanco come alive for us not only with her knowledge of the various food spots we visited but also with her knowledge of the history and architecture of the neighborhood. We thought the tour included a good mixture of food spots from fine dining to street food to desserts and more. The portion sizes were perfect, so you didnt get stuffed. The pace was leisurely, so just the right number of spots to visit, so we never felt rushed. All in all, we loved the tour. We did think that the food we got in a couple of the spots were not worth the money, so the restaurants could have showcased something better. However, all in all, it was a great tour.

Fantastic tour! Viry was an excellent guide - very passionate about Mexico and all of the culinary offerings! We stopped at 7 places - 5 savory, 2 dessert. The tour lasted just shy of 4 hours. I thought it was going to be 3 hours but really the pace was perfect - we did not linger at any particular place too long. Each of the restaurants was extremely well prepared for our arrival - we never waited more than a few minutes for our food samples. Almost every stop has a restroom available. Viry explained all the restaurants we stop at are safe to have ice in the drinks. Some places had a table ready for us and other stops we had to stand or sit on the curb outside. The walking from stop to stop is perfect to digest and get fresh air and see the city. The food was delicious. I'm not very adventurous when it comes to food but everything is simple enough to try, while still having good variety and great flavor! There were 3 of us who booked this together while we had some spare time on a business trip. 7 people in the tour group - all business travelers. Had fun meeting people and chatting while we enjoyed our food. Very impressed with this tour - definitely book it!
