First of all, let me say Ruben and Antonio were both fantastic guides. Pick up, transport, and drop off were all easy. I love the balance between having a guide narrate and allowing a nice amount of exploration time. The city of San Miguel de Allende was absolutely gorgeous! Book this tour and I promise, you’ll have fun!

San Miguel de Allende is a nice place to visit, however, I wouldn’t use this particular tour group to visit. The bus ride going to and from San Miguel de Allende was extremely uncomfortable. The bus was freezing going and coming, and we alerted the tour guide and operator several times but it wasn’t corrected. The bus ride was also very rough. Please pay attention to the negative reviews, and do not book this tour.

Great experience and tour

We had a wonderful time on the tour. Mar and Raphael were great. The tour left right on time and was on schedule. Mar was great at giving us a lot of information. The guided tour in San Miguel was very informative. We also got around 4 hours to explore on our own. Overall, it was a very nice experience. Would highly recommend this tour and especially our guide Mar.

DO NOT BOOK! Terrible experience, with this unprofessional company, they did not confirm until very late at night for the next morning. On the morning off they left, while I was there, but they did not bother to check in with other people standing there or waiting inside the hostel since it was raining. Also, one day is not enough for San Miguel, and this is just a couple of hours since most of the time you spend driving. I would book an alternative option.

Easy way to see San Miguel Allende

San Miguel Allende was on my list to see for a while, as I heard it is a great expat spot. In CDMX for two months and took this trip to see the city in one day. Lots of traffic and tolls on the way so a four hour tour in a comfortable bus/van with six others meant lots of room to stretch, charge phones and enjoy the countryside.

Day trip to San Miguel de Allende.

San Miguel de Allende is a beautiful place to visit. We enjoyed the day strolling the streets and checking out shops and restaurants. You do spend a lot of time in the car though to get there and back. We liked the pick up at our apartment and Oscar, our guide, gave us some color on politics and the town. We had about 4 hours to spend in the town and spent about 9 hours in the car round trip. It is an ambitious day trip and that was with relatively decent traffic. I might stay overnight next time, but we only had one free day and knew it would be a long trip. A good experience overall.

My poor experience!

First off it was freezing in the bus and it was made worse by Ruben our tour guide continuously lying to us with different excuses. So no heat going there!! San Miguel was nice to visit however, it is a 4 hour ride there, 4 hours touring and then 5 hour ride back to Mexico City. It was worth seeing but I would not go back with this company and guide!

San Miguel is a great place. But tour could be better planned

San Miguel is a great place and worth the visit. But trip could be planned better. We never stopped at the panoramic view of the place. We had to walk a lot to get to the main town. A separate guide for English would have been ideal. We arrived back in mexico city close to midnight due to traffic. These issues should be considered for a day trip or make it 2day trip

Did not like this Experience the bus or guide was not cordial to give a call of departure or aware of others joiners place, guide did not explain anything thru out the places we were traveling since it’s a 4 hour drive! Guide and buss driver did not turn on air conditioner thru out the ride , we asked for air conditioning and they turned it off , we asked for music and they said they didn’t have any music on the ride , they later put music on and turned off when they pleased so they lied about that too, when in the town of allendes , guide Sandy was way too fast and left us behind , guide did not meet tourist needs as we had one handicapped individual; never asked if there were any special needs ! They later abandoned the rest of the group and we had no option but to depart from group as we could not keep up with guide , as well as others ! I do not Recommend , there was a lot of walking where they said the buss could not travel and they could perfectly fine drive thru: when time of pick up , bus driver and guide did not know where to meet exactly , made all of the group walk to a place to meet instead of place of pick up. Unsatisfactory!

The most memorable part of the trip that left an indelible impression on me was uncomfortable the seats were for a drive that lasted over 4 hours each way from and to CDMX. Given the duration of the trip it would have behooved Viator to arrange buses that had comfortable space between seats
