Gem of a museum
shelley_w, Jun 2023
Highly recommend this museum of Frida Kahlo. beautiful home and space. only annoying thing were all the people taking selfies.....but that is not the fault of the museum, but the people who can't enjoy something without endlessly documenting it.
An artist defying the odds
patfisher245, Jun 2023
Items she had to repurpose to be able to paint whilst so disabled, such as the mirror placed above her bed and the wheelchair attached to her easel. The dresses were stunning, too. The garden was a lovely surprise.
Don't miss this visit if you visit Mexico.
dbarnett17, May 2023
Simply wonderful. If you are a Frida Kahlo fan, this is a must visit. Really well put together exhibition with many, many beautiful examples of her and Diego's work.
Beautiful home.
Norman_M, Apr 2023
Love the art work and house is so nice. Well kept and clean. Definitely worth seeing. The staff is nice and informative. Definitely recommend to purchase tickets tickets way in advance.

Her bed with a mirror put on top to see her self . That moved me . Also the amount of draws and painting she did while her body is under pain and she is ill .
Casa Azul
James_W, Apr 2023
Beautiful experience in Coyoacán. Casa Azul. Very interesting to see Frida’s life so intimately. Great neighborhood to have lunch or dinner. A village in the heart of México City.
Frida s visit
elva_l, Apr 2023
Just being in the house where Frida Kahlo lived. Also viewing her works and her ashes . We will recommend this your to our friend s d family . We will also come back for another visit.
Unfortunately there...
Mark_C, Feb 2023
Unfortunately there weren’t any of Frida’s later work, only early, formative work. The museum was too crowded, too many people taking selfies, and also there was a large tour group that made it difficult to enjoy looking at the work.
Great way to get last minute tickets

Wonderful opportunity to share in the joy that is Frida Kahlo. Tickets were delivered immediately and for our desired time slot.
Frida House is sacred
ANTHONY_P, Jan 2023
I found it to be very crowded and the Americans were a lot to deal with. Wish I would have stayed at home.
Must see!
Shawn_A, Dec 2022
We loved seeing all of the art work in and around the house and seeing Frida’s studio. This is a very special place and a must see if you are in Mexico City!
Museum Ticket Scalpers
Oren_R, Dec 2022
They are ticket scalpers. And they didn't even have all of the tickets that we paid for. So one of us had to stay out. They short changed us in the partial refund. Stay away.
Viator failed here.
Emmarentia_M, Dec 2022
Would avoid - I did get the tickets I bought from the vendor in the end, but it required me to WhatsApp the seller back and forth, and several times they tried to send me the Viator voucher as my “entrance ticket” which made me think they attempted to scam. It’s also ridiculous that you buy tickets through Viator but then have to WhatsApp or IG message a random account that doesn’t respond for days to get your actual entrance ticket - there should be automation to send that to buyers, not fine print lists of instructions that make getting your ticket on-time or at all a risk
Book through Museum website if you can.
Kathryn_S, Oct 2022
My partner and I only booked tickets through Viator b/c tickets were sold out on museum website. 2x the cost. However, the museum is a must see and the market near buy is great.

Great Place to visit if you have any interest in Modern art. One gets a real feel for how Frida and Diego lived.
A memorable and organized experience with Viator!
MaryAnne_R, Jul 2022
It was so wonderful walking though the Frida Museum, and you really feel the sense of how she lived and worked. Her home was amazing, and the building, grounds, and all the rooms tell a wonderful story of her life and Diego Rivera. The reservation and ticketing process was very organized with Viator, and I would definitely recommend them for booking tickets or tours of any kind!
Journey to the past
Mehnaaz_M, Jun 2022
Where great art flourishes, it was beautiful to experience the surroundings and roots of two geniuses.
Her room and furniture....
Juan_P, Jun 2022
Her room and furniture. The museum was a great time to see. The place was beautiful. Recommend to friend's and family.
A Glimpse of Frida Kahlo's Life.
Ronald_V, May 2022
Good collection of her life's memorabilia, personal collection and SOME of her artworks. It's a glimpse of her life and personal space. Don't expect to see lots of her artworks here. I believe some of them are privately owned. The museum is well-kept and well-organized. The staff are also kind and helpful. Unfortunately though for non-Spanish speaking visitors, there are no english audio options nor much translations of the displays.
Amazing Museum! Viator is a scam!
Angelica_P, Apr 2022
The museum was amazing 5 stars! I am so happy I was able to finally see Frida’s home in person staff and crowd control is fantastic, it’s an extremely intimate view into Frida and Diego’s life. However my two stars is regarding Viator….do not purchase tickets through their website, you are paying double what the cost would be through the museum’s website. There was glitch in the purchasing when I tried checking out through the museum’s site so I purchased through Viator not realizing how much I was being ripped off until later on when I had a chance to compare. Also Viator customer service told me to start at the Diego Museum and then go to Casa Azul, had I listened to them I would have lost my ticket to Casa Azul.
Unless you are a huge...
Ronald_K, Apr 2022
Unless you are a huge Kahlo fan, the museum is overrated and the neighborhood holds little of interest. Perhaps most importantly, the museum was very crowded and there was absolutely no distancing between the patrons. I did not feel safe and left the museum immediately.
Needs headsets
frank_s, Apr 2022
Tickets from viator were difficult to retrieve. And the museum should create an app so u can listen to info and history . Nothing was in english 😒
The museum was well...
Robyn_S, Apr 2022
The museum was well organized and we learned a lot about Frida Kahlo’s life that we hadn’t known. Well worth a visit!
Not worth the drive
Arkadha_S, Apr 2022
It’s a tiny museum with too much hype. Because of Mexico city traffic it took us over an hour to get there and the whole tour took thirty min at most.
Thank you attentive service
Nisha_S, Mar 2022
It was so easy and the team dropped off a package for me at my hotel. Even after me accidentally booking the wrong date
Great cultural visit
Jess_L, Mar 2022
Loved seeing the Casa Azul, just be aware that I do think all tickets online to Casa Azul do include complimentary visit to Anahuacalli. Enjoyed seeing them!
One of a kind experience
JANA_M, Mar 2022
To be in Frida’s home surrounded by her art, clothing and personal effects was moving and inspirational. So impressive that things were left as they were on her passing.

It was lovely seeing where Frida lived and worked. The garden of the property was so wonderfully restful. I found the exhibit of her corsets and clothes very moving.

Beautiful place and museum. Also fun to explore the neighborhood, including the nearby museum of their friend Trotsky.
Great museum, bad customer service
Frances_F, Feb 2022
The museum was amazing g, the customer service was terrible. I received a link to my “tickets” and the. Had to call from the line to have the tickets sent to me on what app. I made the reservation three weeks prior and should have been emailed my tickets well in advance
