Andres was our tour guide and he was very very knowledgeable about everything he showed us. This was a great walking tour to see the beautiful towns of Taxco and Cuernavaca. Very Picturesque tour. The tour of the mine was great as well. I would definitely recommend this tour. I wanted to stay a few nights in Taxco lol!

Do not go on amigo tour

Booked this tour. They removed it from my booking called viator about not shown on my app. They confirmed it was not listed. Contact amigo about mistake. They put it back into the app later at 1pm after the tour started. They would not refund my money or reschedule. It was amigo tour fault. I already bought 3 tours from them. Will not recommend them at all. Very dishonest tour company. Stole my money, lost $126.00 USD.

Glad I booked this trip . The guide was excellent, very informative. The silver factory had some amazing work for sale which I bought several pieces . The staff their where very knowledgeable. Then we went on to taxco which is the sweetest place. Highlights where the little winding streets and the cathedral

Ok, but different than expected

Overall fun tour, but I gave it 3 stars because it was not what I was expecting. The pre-Hispanic mine part was not of any sort of historical significance, in fact it was just a room with sparkly walls made to look like a silver mine. Seemed the reason for the stop was the store that was attached to the room. If you love shopping this would be fine, but history buffs beware. There was a guide that spoke (Spanish and English) about the mines and explained how to tell the quality of silver, but it was a short exhibition. The city of Taxco is truly beautiful and the church was outstanding, but the main activity is shopping. I do recommend seeing the top of the church (50 pesos), but if you’re looking for adventure or history, there are better tours to do.

We got to see a pretty church in Cuernavaca and learned so much thanks to our well informed guide, Alexa. Taxco was such a pretty city, and the silver mines were an incredible sight to see. We bought some beautiful silver, saw a gorgeous church, and ate a delicious lunch overlooking the city of Taxco. Amazing!

Very professional driver made us feel comfortable on mountain roads and in busy city traffic. Cuernavaca is a relatively quick stop. Taxco was so interesting and the silver is exquisite. The visit to the silver store was very educational. I was surprised to find how comfortable and interesting the mine tour was, don't miss it!

Good trip overall. The guide was knowledgeable, friendly and bilingual. I speak very little Spanish and the guide even translated a bit for us when we visited the mine (the guide at the mine only spoke Spanish). The bus we had was very new and clean but honestly the seat was a bit small. If you are a very large person it might get uncomfortable.

Awesome time in Taxco! I wish we had more time to explore the town. Cuernavaca was cute but we did not stay there for too long , I almost wish we skipped it or it was it’s own tour! Our guide was absolutely excellent!!! He was knowledgeable and his proficiency in English and Spanish was great!

This is a great way to get out of the city, see some of the gorgeous countryside and Mountain View’s en route to Taxco, with a nice short stop in Cuernavaca and a decent amount of time to explore Taxco. The mine tour was also good and of course, very educational. We also made a stop at a silver store; just be careful and don’t spend too much money hahaha. Great tour and I highly recommend. Our guide Oscar was the driver AND guide and did a great job!

Day ruined

This company does not value its customers at all. We arrived at the meeting place on time only to find out that our trip was cancelled due to insufficient amount of people. We got compensated, but this is a very unprofessional treatment. Everything would be all right, had they contacted us day before so we could discuss other options, maybe changing the trip to a different one or at least have enough time to plan our day. We had to wake up insanely early and missed our breakfast, also most of our day was wasted because I had no time to prepare alternative programme and it was impossible to contact Amigo tours and talk things through. This experience was the worst of all the experiences of probably all of my holidays ever. This is pure disrespect.

Highly enjoyable day trip

I thoroughly enjoyed this day tour. The trip was well-organized. It was a bit confusing at the early morning pick-up at a hotel (that wasn't mine) since there were several different tour buses leaving at the same time but once I found someone in charge, I was told where to wait. Our tour guide Brenda was fantastic. Our group was more than half Spanish-speaking but she made sure to say everything in both English and Spanish. We never had to ask for a translation. We had a brief time in Cuernacava, which was a nice stop. She told us about the churches and we had a little time to walk around or get some food. The main attraction was Taxco, which was beautiful. After a very quick visit to a silver shop (just a few minutes), we had a few hours on our own, to have lunch and explore. Anyone who had elected the prehispanic mine option met up earlier than everyone else. The gentleman who guides you through the mine only speaks Spanish but Brenda translated everything he said for our English group. In other reviews it sounds like not every guide comes along and I really appreciated it. The mine visit was really interesting. The rest of the group met up with us near the bus when we were done and we were on our way back to Mexico City. Highly recommend this day tour.

Such a HUGE disappointment. Cuernavaca is the Capitol city of Morelos, but this tour only provided a tour of the Cuernavaca Cathedral church complex. We were walked to the Morelos State Museum where the Rivera Diego murals are located - but the tour guide it has been closed for renovations for 5 years. The tour guide provided no other tour options except to spend a short time looking at the main square.

A nice day trip to see a bit more of Mexico

We walked to the hostel to meet the bus. It was clean and ready for all of the travelers. Luis, our driver was clearly very experienced and did a great job. Mario, our guide explained everything along the way, first in the bus at the beginning and then in Cuernavaca and Taxco. The prehistoric mine was quite interesting. The view at the suggested lunch restaurant was very beautiful although the food was average. My one thought was that I wish they gave us about 30 minutes free time in addition to the lunch to grab an ice cream, or perhaps look over the silver in Taxco. Good day trip overall.

Cuernavaca and Taxco Tour from Mexico City

The trip was a long day... 12 hours but worth the tip. We saw both city centers including churches and town squares. Taxco was the highlight of the trip. We had a discussion in one silver store. I also did the silver mine tour at the end at the bottom of a hotel. Sandy was our tour guide and Gustavo our van driver. They both did a great job. We got lucky on the weather too. Even the van drive was good seeing the lush, green, and mountainous countryside.

Our guide is very friendly and he is clearly very passionate about his job. The vehicle was comfortable and AC is good. It was a bilingual group and the guide made sure everything was explained in both Spanish and English, which is brilliant. However, there are only Spanish guides in the mine, it was beautiful but unfortunately we didn’t understand anything.
