Tour operator does not provide any photography services on this tour. You may come across photographers at Teotihuacan who will offer to take your photos for a fee. Please keep in mind that these photographers are independent and not affiliated with our company.
Our local operator is part of the Teotihuacán Hot Air Balloon Federation, and has all the required official permits to operate.

Absolutely amazing experience I did this in Australia years ago, but this was 100 times better. Beautiful sunrise an mist. Probably 50 hot air balloons flying together. It was just incredibly beautiful. YOU SHOULD DO IT return transport was well below average tho Returned 1.5 hours late. Due to traffic an other people in the group been careless Traffic was so slow it was quicker to walk the city

Let me start by saying I don’t typically leave reviews, but this warranted an exception. First, the amenities on this tour were far better than I expected (i.e. prompt pick-up/drop-off service, comfortable transportation, nice drivers, coffee/snacks upon arrival, great lunch, mariachi band, etc.). More importantly, the balloon tour itself was a once in a lifetime experience, which you can probably gather from the pictures I took (one of which has somewhat gone viral). I can’t recommend this excursion enough for those traveling to Mexico City. Definitely the highlight of the trip.

A great way to see Teotihuacan

Excellent experience. Transportation from Mexico City to Teotihuacan. Then a hot air balloon ride over the pyramids. The balloon ride was fun itself, but seeing the ruins from above was amazing. I highly recommend it. Then you get a ride to the ruins to see them on foot which was great as well. We booked late so we did not get up in a balloon immediately, we had to wait for a bit. But that was not a big problem, it mean we had the sky to ourselves.

I was picked up 5.10h at the hotel. I booked the tour in English but the driver only spoke Spanish. On the drive to the pyramids we had to take a toll road. Unfortunately the driver did not have enough money with him so he had to ask a customer to lend him money for the toll road. Arrived at the scene there were many people gathering. A real introduction of what to do did not take part. So I just went to the line where others were queing. I got the information that I was on the second turn already the day before. What I did not know was that there was only one balloon going for the second turn. So no Sunrise no other balloons in the sky which gave a real nice picture. The balloon ride itself was nice and professionally done! After the balloon ride you were brought to the pyramides or better to one of the entrances. There was no entrance fee nor a guide included. I was dropped off as the only customer at gate 4 with the only instruction of meeting here at 1.15pm for the ride home. That was all; no introduction, no contact details nothing. I had no chance to group up with others to enjoy the scene. Also the pyramids were not open for climbing!!! There was no information at any time that this was not possible. On the way back, oh wonder, there was again the toll road. The driver had to stop at a parking stop to draw money for the road. As if he did not have about 6hours of time before driving us home. I recommend to chose a different tour operator which offers you a guided tour at the pyramids and maybe also a guide for the area. Otherwise it is just a place in a dessert with stones put on top of each other.

Excellent experience. Everybody was very skillful and the ride was amazing. The only thing I would say is that they shouldn’t sell full day experiences when they are going to cancel half the trip because COVID causes the pyramids to be closed for tours. Our full day turned into a half day.

Only after our balloon tour did we learn that everybody else on our trip had been offered a specific tour of the ruins - which was an additional charge. Bubbly (as in sparkling wine or champagne was advertised) but not available Watch out for hotel pickup if you are doing this trip on a Sunday - due to the regular marathon in Mexico city, you will be asked to get yourself to a designated meeting point Know before you go that if there are low cross winds you may have a very bumpy landing and, as was our case, the basket may tip over completely Be prepared for long waiting times while they prepare the balloon and at the end of the flight when the balloon is being packed away (20 - 25 minutes) On a more uplifting note the pilots are very professional and it is a wonderful feeling to fly so high, with such an unrestricted view. Warning - if you don't like heights they do fly very high

It was an awesome adventure! Do not miss the opportunity to soar above the Pyramids! The entire experience was timed very well. Pick up from our hotel was on time. Recommend you wear tennis shoes, hat and a jacket because it was cool. The landing was very smooth. Breakfast afterwards was great and had the opportunity to hire a tour guide for the pyramids. We were back at the hotel by 2:30 so had plenty of time to do sightseeing afterwards.

Great activity!!! our air balloon guide was amazing, he explain to us what we were looking at, explain to us about maximum altitude reached, a little of the pyramids. When we landed they had a great buffet for us, they had the time to look for the birthdays and had a cake for them too. Everything was absolutely great!!!

The experience is amaizing bit since there is a third part some information through emails might be lost. In tripadvisor said the fees for the pyrimides were 70 mex pesos and once there it was 75... not much difference really but when its not your money and you try to have enough for a day its kind of complicated. They change the price for 2019, and nobody care about my reservation and everything was said there. But the expierence itself... its a must do!

There was really poor communication with the touring company called Bamba Experience. There was no pickup location listed. The phone they number listed would go straight to voicemail. It took 4 calls all day to Viator to clarify the pickup location. Eventually, I did get picked up and dropped off at the balloon vendor called Volare. But there was no directions from Bamba Experience on what to do from there. I had to ask around in mass confusion.The balloon ride was amazing, however. That credit is for Volare though, not the touring company that you sign with here (Bamba Experience)After the balloon ride, they dropped me off at Teotihaucan. There's no guide included, so the experience was very poor. I would suggest anyone wanting to do the balloon tour, to Uber to one of the balloon vendors and directly buy the ticket from the vendor.

this was an exiting excursion. The balloon flew over The Sun Pyramid and the Moon Pyramid. I asked the guide why we were nmot going to the other pyramid.... he said That area is closed because mercury was found. Neddless to say, as we were on foot in Teotihuacan we never made it to the mercury infested side . The next day I went on another excursion to Teotihuacan which took us straight to the side not shown to us in the hot air balloon tour. It is the most beautiful pyramid in Teotihuacan. It was open...No Mercury!!!! Did that hot air balloon guide lied to me?
