It was ok. We got started late over 40 min late because other tour operators booked as well which overbooked our tour and we started with some people standing. Sitting on the bus for that long was not fun. I just wish that they would have checked the weather to determine where we should have started our tour first. We had a massive thunderstorm with hail and winds that although some people did get off the bus it was not really the ideal situation to go see the pyramids. The tour company had to at least attempt to show us the pyramids because then they would have had to refund some money. Had they checked the weather and gone in the morning we would have been good.

As others have mentioned, there is a lot of time spent for shopping, both at the Guadalupe Shrine and at the Teotihuacan area (Tequila tasting and lunch) which made our time at the actual sites/location of interest seem very rushed. Even another 45 minutes at each of the above mentioned sites would have been greatly appreciated. Our tour operators and bus driver were all very friendly and the information given was excellent, especially at the Teotihuacan site. The reality is, you’re getting in quite a bit for a single day. When we return to CDMX we will probably take a guided tour to just one of the sites but we’re glad we did what we did with this tour.

I wouldn’t highly recommend this tour for several reasons 1) due to traffic I couldn’t make it ok time to the meeting point. Despite calling and asking for options such as join the group in a different place, the answer was no and therefore I had to pay 17usd in order to re-schedule. On my surprise, when I actually did the tour, noticed that 2 groups joined the tour after it had already started (in the first stop), which means it is possible but it was evident that getting more money was the priority. 2) Before starting the tour, the guide tour needed to check my reservation. Despite I showed to her, she asked me for my ID. I showed my passport, but the other tour guide took a photo of it. This is very delicate! 3) the tour itself is meh. 60% focused on tourists buying stuff in every stop (at Guadalupe, Cooperative…) For me, the priority is to learn, explore. Yes, buying stuff is nice, but tbh I didn’t pay for a tour in order to buy stuff. Lunchtime took longer than expected, but for the pyramids which is the most exciting part, we had 1 hour tour w the guide and 1 to explore by ourselves. Keep in mind that this city is HUGE, therefore we had to do it very fast (not ideally). And their answer was that they have a 10min policy for waiting.

The trip was organised and the tour guide was very knowledgeable. We are able to visit all the iconic places as advertised. However, the tour agency should arrange the itinerary such that more time is given to visit the Guadalupe Shrine. Only 1 hour is given and the guide had taken about 20mins to explain about the site. The remaining 40mins is barely enough to visit half of the complex. Should cut down the time spent in Tequila testing and lunch instead to improve the overall experience.

I did the tour in English with my wife, who doesn't speak Spanish. The English guide was quite poor in his explanations and these were of little interest. I could sometimes here the Spanish guide with the Spanish speaking part of the group and his explanations seemed much more interesting.

Very disappointed, essentially a big tourist trap

Arrived at the advised 8:05am only to have a very disorganized 1+ hour before the tour really started. Followed by a 50 person tour being herded like cattle through multiple gift shops (basilica and teotihuacan), and multiple lengthy delays. The icing on the cake was 2 hours at the obsidian workshop tourist trap that was not advertised (which was one of the main reasons I chose this tour). Lunch at the same complex - food is very poor and overpriced. Resulted in arriving at teotihuacan at 3pm! Given nowhere near enough time to explore the site. Unable to make it to Quetzalcoatl site or the museum. Noted that they advertise climbing the sun /moon pyramids which is clearly not allowed when you arrive. Arrived back 2 hours later than expect, 11hours after we arrived. The guides were pleasant enough , the issues are not their fault, clearly at the directive of the operators. Booked based on the large amount of positive reviews but now note on closer look that many others have voice similar concerns. We regret not just making our own way out to teotihuacan.

Lily and Christian were our tour guides. They were great. We had a different local tour guide for the tequila tasting/obsidian workshop whose English was difficult to understand and it felt like a marketing event. Overall, the experience was worth it to see the shrine and Teotihuacan.

This was so much fun! Our guides were very knowledgeable but also very funny. We learned so much from them about all of the sites we were going to see. The sites themselves were incredible to see! Teotihuacán was so beautiful, and the tequila tasting before was fun! I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone staying in Mexico City.

Slightly disappointed

Price was very good for a full day multi stop tour We were on a ;arge bus with approx 50 guests - split 50:50 Spanish/ English speaking. The group size was ok but we felt our guide, whom I won't name did not really engage with the group as I have experienced on other tours - We would have liked much more commentary on the history of Mexico City and the Aztecs. This could have been done on the long bus ride as well as at least an optional walk thru Teotihuacan......... The first stop was a short stop at Tiotelolco and that was a fine intro. Second Stop at the Shrine was also ok , although time keeping was abit vague with the group - but we all made it generlly on time The stop for Tequila tasting and lunch was a little long - but ok,and entertainment was too loud we felt. For us we got thru the Teoihacon ruins an hour early - mainly because there was no commentary as we walked thru the site. Hence we just walked and looked - lucky it wasn't too hot, otherwise it would have been quite annoying We were on a walking tour the following day and could not recommend this tour to other interested tours. This is just our personal view - others may give it a 5* Sorry it may have been an off day/ or fill in for the guide

This is a really good tour, the guadelupe shrine was nice, couple of churches to visit and be prepared to climb a little. The tequila tasting was fun. Teotihuacán is a must see for its cultural significance but be prepared to walk a lot.

The tour guide was “watching the clock” rushed us through, when I asked a question he made a joke. Felt a lot of the tour was pushing shopping. Alberto was curt and should have been providing more info. We’ve had better Viator guides.

The tour was great and worth the price! Edwin and Herson were our tour guides and they were hilarious and knowledgable. Edwin was the English guide, so I interacted with him more - he was able to answer lots of questions and had great history knowledge. Like some comments mentioned, they do take you to pricier gift shops, and you do have to eat at the restaurant they take you to, but honestly, you're not forced to buy anything at the gift shops and the restaurant was fine. Personally, I found the tour to be well organized, and took us to three different historical spots, and that alone is worth it, even if we had to eat at a restaurant that maybe isn't "the best". I would not let this part of the reviews deter you from booking this fantastic tour!

The tour is just ok. The guide and the chofer are super nice people, but the corporation running the tour has an agenda to profit from you. They take you to an expensive shop in Tehotihuacan to get you tipsy and try overcharging you for local souvenirs. The worst is that you have to eat at the restaurant they drop you that has mediocre Mexican dishes that are flavorless, cold, and overpriced. They need to either offer restaurant options or better the quality of the food.

The experience at Teotihuacan was amazing and the tour was well organised however it felt like a long time was spent at the Guadalupe shrine and the souvenir store. Lunch is at a tourist trap with the most disappointing food in mexico. The guides however, were a delight and it was an overall fun experience
