This was a nice tour and I liked that it was a small group of 10 people and that we were picked up from our hotel. At Teotihuacan the guide was very informative but I do wish he included more information about the rituals at this site. I also wish he used the time in the car to tell us about the history of the site instead of just the hour and a half at the site. It was nice getting there before the heat of the day and a fun trip overall.

Our guided tour of Teotihuacán was great. Our guide was working on his dissertation in anthropology and was knowledgable, friendly and kept the tour going at a great pace. I appreciated an early morning tour that got us home by 1:00 pm.

Our guide, Ernesto, was very knowledgeable and did a great job explaining what we were seeing. Very interesting. It does require quite a bit of walking which might be difficult for young children.

A must do for visiting Teotihuacan!

We knew we wanted to visit Teotihuacan and were debating going on our own without a guide vs. doing a tour. I am SO happy we did this tour and feel we would have missed out on so much from this fascinating site if we'd gone it alone. Gerardo had extensive knowledge of the history, the current studies being conducted at the site, the rituals, and everything we had questions on. The site does not have ample signage, so I wouldn't have known any of that (and certainly wouldn't have picked up on the meanings behind the particular carvings he pointed out). In terms of logistics, everything was incredibly smooth - easy pick up from our hotel, easy ride, and we beat the crowds. I was concerned that the obsidian workshop/tasting and lunch would eat into a lot of time or be a hard sell tourist trap situation, but it wasn't at all. A quick overview of the agave plant and the types of obsidian, maybe 15 minutes to shop if you want (no pressure, left to our own devices), then we were out. The van was very comfortable (I saw a previous review about A/C - A/C was working very well for us), and there were 10 total in our group, including us. 10/10 would book again. Thank you, Gerardo!!!

Was a fantastic experience with a knowledgeable guide (Gerardo) and friendly, safe driver (Pepe) -- we got way more out of the tour than had we visited on our own and much easier than trying to figure out how to get to/from the city. Great lunch and a tequila tasting to cap off the experience. We booked our reservation relatively late so didn't have a chance to confirm the details of the exact time, etc. for the hotel pickup -- but the team arrived promptly and made my wife and I feel very welcome. Returning to the city in the early afternoon left plenty of time for additional sightseeing and relaxation. Would highly recommend!

Our guide Gerardo was very knowledgeable. This was one of the best tours for earth works/history buffs. I loved learning the local history and the current theories. Seeing the shop, uses of rock, agave and miscellaneous plants into dyes, tequila, and trinkets were interesting too. Our guide provided stops for snacks and picked us up with ease. We loved the tour. I would highly recommend if anyone wants a plethora of information and a full guided tour of the landscape.

From beginning to end, this was a great experience. We received a message from our tour operator shortly after booking which confirmed our hotel pickup, and a precise time at which the tour van would arrive. Gerardo (our tour guide) arrived exactly on time. The early morning tour time allowed us to beat traffic and arrive at Teotihuacan just as the gates were opening. We were one of the first groups into the archeological site, which gave us a quiet and peaceful beginning to the tour before the vendors set up and the crowds filed in. These peaceful moments enhance a visit to what surely is a vital place in human history. Gerardo was an incredibly educated guide, and gave us information that wouldn't be found anywhere else. We are very grateful we had the chance to learn from him on this tour. The experience has sparked our interest to learn more on our own, and he even suggested a few books for us to pick up. After the tour we were taken to a small gift shop. It seemed a bit overpriced compared to what we had seen elsewhere, so we didn't purchase anything. Finally, we were taken to a nice spot for lunch with the rest of our group, which was a great chance to fuel up and chat with everyone else. Overall, we rate this a 10/10.

Monse was our tour guide for this experience. We definitely recommend wearing sunscreen and a hat as there is no shade at Teotihuacan. The early start time of this tour compared to other tours is great in order to avoid the even hotter afternoon sun. Overall we had a great time and Monse was excellent! She was very knowledgeable and taught us a lot about the history of Teotihuacan. Got a lot more out of this experience by travelling with her rather than seeing the site solo. My friend and I had separate lunch reservations at La Gruta instead of Mayahual which the group normally goes to. She was able to accommodate us and dropped us off and picked us up from La Gruta while the rest of the group was having lunch at Mayahuel. Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone interested.

This tour was excellent. We were picked up at our hotel at 6:30, and taken to Teotihuacan (with a coffee stop en route) and were some of the first people there! Yun was a fantastic tour guide, explaining the history, politics and lifestyle of the Teotihuacan in great detail. It was a small group, around 8-9 people in total. We had a quick stop to learn about agave and obsidian from some locals, and to browse the gift shop, and were dropped off at our hotel at around 1pm. Would definitely recommend if you want to beat the crowds and learn the most about the area.

Yunuen, our guide, was fantastic, extremely knowledgeable and personable. Communication around pick ups etc was very clear. The minivan had aircon and was comfortable. The Obsidian workshop and lunch were fun - as a random group of strangers we all had a great time! Would definitely recommend this early morning tour, particularly to avoid the worst of the heat.

Ernesto was a such a knowledgeable and fun guide. I would recommend anyone to take a tour with him. He picked us up at our apartment on time and the van was tight, but comfortable on the way there. It was our family of 5, 3 other couples, Ernesto, and the driver. We stopped at a convenience store and coffee shop to pick up breakfast on the way to Teotihuacan. The tour of the temples and Avenue of the Dead is quite far, has several stairs and little shade, so definitely be prepared with sunscreen/hats/water. The driver picked us up at the end near the Temple of the Moon so you don't have to walk the entire avenue twice. The information Ernesto gave us was educational and interesting. My teenagers seemed to enjoy themselves as well. The restaurant he brought us to afterwards was not cheap, but not too expensive and the food was pretty and tasted average. The location and service were great.

Jun was a fantastic guide, very personable and knowledgeable. The group size wasn’t too big - 12 people total. Comfortable van ride with a stop on the way for coffee and a quick breakfast. Jun knows a lot about the history of Teotihuacan and happy to answer any questions. The tour finished with lunch which was ok, not great, but huge portions. Door to door pickup and drop off was great. Overall we really enjoyed the day and recommend this tour.

We were picked up on time and greeted by our guide, Yunuen. Yunuen was very thoughtful throughout the trip informing us of every part of the trip. We stopped at a very clean convenience store to use the restroom and buy a breakfast snack. Traffic was very light. I highly recommend this early morning trip. It started getting hot by 10 am and we were half through our visit at Teotihuacan. Yunuen was very detailed in his explanations of each historical site; very much appreciated. A young child became a bit dizzy after climbing the ruin. Yunuen made sure to stay with the family until the young boy felt better. Lunch was good too; several options to choose from. The only thing I would recommend is having lunch at 11:30 instead of 12 noon. It took 1 1/2 hours to get back to our hotel- traffic was heavy for about 10 miles. We are at our hotel by 2:30 pm.

We had the most wonderful day with our tour guide Monse to Teotiouchan. She was entertaining and so informative! The tour was well paced and it was great starting at one end and walking to the pyramid of the Moon and getting picked up from there. She answered so many of our questions and cleverly checked what we had learnt. Highly recommend a smaller tour like this with a more personal experience. Leaving early is great too. Thanks for a wonderful day.
