What To Expect

After meeting your knowledgeable guide in front of the Duomo, Milan's immense and extravagant Gothic cathedral, learn about the history of the church, taking some time to study the facade of the sacred structure, including the statues and wicked gargoyles.

Head toward the entrance to the cathedral, going right past that long line and entering the building, thanks to the skip-the-line ticket. Stroll through the interior with your guide, learning about the overlooked nooks and corners of the building and hearing about some of the incredible artwork that's inside. Admire the 50 incredible stained glass windows, as well as the sculptures and paintings.

Let your guide lead you down the marble stairway to the underground crypt. Here, find the graves of St. Charles Borromeo, the archbishop of Milan in the 16th century.

After, come up to ground level again and exit the church. If you've chosen this tour on the weekend, take some free time to see more of Milan on your own or tuck into a nice meal at a local restaurant. Or, if you've taken this on a weekday, commence the rooftop tour immediately.

Go back inside the cathedral with your skip-the-line ticket and then ride in the lift up to the Duomo's terrace, thus skipping the exhausting walk up the stairs to the roof.

Once on the rooftop, take in the amazing views of the city, getting close-up sights of the statues, spires, and gargoyles. Take a moment to listen to your guide regale you with more history of the cathedral.

After spending some time up on the roof and admiring the views, head back down to ground level, as your tour is finished.

Amazing Tour! So glad we did this. Our guide, Chiara was FANTASTIC. She first took us up to the rooftop. That in itself was incredible and it was certainly more than we had originally imagined. We stayed up there quite a bit of time, and the amount of space that you tour through was impressive. We really saw and really learned a lot about the architecture of the cathedral and its history. The views are incredible!! The structure amazingly beautiful and detailed. You'll see things you'll never be able to view from the ground. Afterwards, we descended down into the church itself and continued to be amazed. Yes, from the outside, you can tell the cathedral is massively huge. But inside, it takes on all new meanings. The stained glass walls are something we'll never forget. Also, everything you see/read about Skip the Lines entrance is 100% TRUE. With this tour, you literally walk right in and past hundreds of people who have been standing in line for ??? amount of time. The same goes for access up to the roof. You get to ride up a separate way that the regular public does not. SO WORTH IT. Thank you again Chiara for providing us a wonderful tour experience that we will never forget!!

Do to train delays then traffic jams as it was Fashion week in Milan and we were not aware of it we missed our check in time! So I cannot comment on this tour other than to say ENSURE YOU HAVE PLENTY OF TIME TO GET TO MEETING POINT!

We were so excited to visit The Duomo and learn of its history and admire its beauty. Our guide, while charming, seemed more focused on her sense of humor than sharing knowledge. We came away with a few rudimentary tidbits but little about the history of the cathedral. How did it survive WW2,, who envisioned it, 500 years of history during its construction! Too repetitive.

Great yo see everything and the rooftop but the guide Fabriezio was just ok. The headset had a lot of static when attached to the shift or lanyard but was great off it however he always put it back on so hard to hear.
