Tour Guide Allowed Another Group to Take Our Time Slot

This was by far the worst tour we have ever experienced. We arrived 15 minutes early, which is always recommended. But when it was time for our group to enter the museum, our guide started running around frantically between our group and another. When we were 15 minutes past our start time, she explained that another group had booked the wrong time and would miss their bus. LIKE THIS IS OUR PROBLEM! The solution was to have us start 30 minutes late. We missed our dinner reservation because of poor planning by another group. No apologies at all. What a disappointment. We should have just bought tickets and skipped a tour. The tour guide offered no insight that was not already known to us.

I’m so glad I booked this tour as the museum itself was sold out of entry tickets. It was so helpful to have the context from the guide, especially as we were looking at the painting for the allotted 15 minutes. Our guide was Alessandra. She was organized, spoke clearly,calmly and was knowledgeable with the subject. She provided clear instructions and what to expect before the tour started. Regarding the number of visitors allowed in the Last Supper Museum, we would like to inform you that the museum strictly limits the number of visitors to 35. Due to the high demand for tickets, they tend to sell out quickly, and the museum will have 35 participants in any case even if our tour was with a less number. We understand that the price of the tour may seem expensive, but we would like to assure you that it is priced fairly based on the additional costs we incur to provide a guided tour. Our costs include hiring a professional guide, providing radios for each participant, and paying extra for guaranteed availability of tickets. As for the waiting time, we always advise our clients to arrive at the meeting point at least 30 minutes before the specified entrance time. During this time, our guide provides a brief introduction and conducts security checks before redeeming the tickets from the ticketing office. We understand that waiting can be frustrating, but it is necessary for security reasons and to ensure that the tour runs smoothly. We also understand that the group size can sometimes make it difficult to hear the guide. Therefore, we provide every participant with a radioguide and a one-use headset. This allows each participant to hear the guide clearly and have a distraction-free experience. Once again, we apologize for any inconvenience and hope that you will give us another opportunity to provide you with a better experience in the future.
