What To Expect

Head over to a central meeting point to pick up your Sea Car. Then, hop into your 2-seater convertible, and get your adventure started. Follow the GPS navigation and listen to fun facts about landmarks as you ride down the streets of downtown Monterey to Lake El Estero and Cannery Row.

Make pit stops at the cute town of Pacific Grove, and see the Monarch Grove butterfly sanctuary. Breathe in the fresh ocean air, and zip past Asilomar State Beach.

Bring your Sea Car back to the same spot you picked it up from when your tour time is up.

Please note: The price is per car, based on two people.

Drivers must be 20 years of age or older and must present a valid driver's license
Minimum age is 4 years; children must be accompanied by an adult
All renters must be able to read, understand and sign a liability release and waiver form
Maximum weight is 400 lbs (180 kg) per car; each rider must be under 200 lbs (90 kg) or drive their own car
Maximum passenger height is 6 feet 3 inches (190 cm)

One member of each group must present a credit card and government-issued ID; this information will only be used in the case of damage or loss of property

The Sea Cars are SO MUCH FUN!!! You can really experience the beautify of Monterey from these zippy little cars. Martha was extremely helpful and patient with us which helped our fun time even that much more fun! Bring a jacket as it gets a bit “breezy” as you take the spectacular ride along the coast toward the golf course. My friend and I absolutely loved it and would recommend it to anyone!

It was a wonderful ride in the open air, seeing all the beautiful sights and stunning vistas. We got to see Cannery and Fisherman's Wharf. It was really so much fun and would recommend for any age!

My husband and I booked this 3 hour tour for our anniversary day while on a camping/vacation trip to Monterey. We were thankful for the 3 hour tour versus the 1 and 2 hour tours. We were able to see and enjoy many places. Also, we had the time to get out and take many wonderful pictures. We have been to Monterey many times but still saw many things and to go areas we had never been before. Not to mention the historical information. We had a blast!

Great experience. Very informative GPS tour guide. It might have been excellent if the roads weren’t so bumpy due to the suspension on the type of vehicle used.
