First Timer Seeing Red
Richard_F, Mar 2023
Our guide Sandrea took us off-road and showed us an incredible natural wonderland. It was a fantastic tour!
Chasing light in Monument Valley!
gloria_l, Dec 2022
Our guide was personable and welcoming. I appreciated her giving us permission to get out and take photos. We didn't want to offend or make presumptions. We had sooo much fun! It was obvious that our guide Marjorie loved seeing her home light up at sunset as if it was the first time, like us!!
Response from Host, Jan 2023
Thank you so much for your amazing review! We are glad you had a good time and thank you for the visit 😊
Enjoy a Tour while in Monument Valley

Our Sunset tour with Sandrea was excellent… we visited many interesting sites and listened to her sing and play the flute as well.
Response from Host, Jan 2023

Perfect for a photographer
Claudia_F, Oct 2022
We had a private guided photo tour. She helped picking sites with great light at sunset. Also, she explained the Navajo cultural beliefs of the rock formations. It was very interesting.
New name for an old rock
Monte_K, Oct 2022
The picture is at Eye of the Sun (I think) ….anyways, it might be called “Tyrannosaurus lurking”. Sandrea was excellent and gave us lots to look at and listening to her musical talent will not soon be forgotten.
A sunset to remember

The tour took you the famous vistas and some amazing lesser known spots. Vera, our tour guide was amazing.
Monument Valley is...
Pat_M, Oct 2022
Monument Valley is stunning, but what brought it to life was the passion, humor, and the the teaching skills of Larry Team. He is absolutely fabulous!
not professional
David_w, Sep 2022
we asked questions and was met with discouraging comments. did you listen to me? also the meeting place in hotel lobby is not right and no one informed us where to meet
Response from Host, Sep 2022
David, We are sorry this happened to you. If possible we would like to know the name of your guide. We meet at the hotel but outside in front. Usually the front desk clerks will tell you to go to the front of the hotel.
Great experience
Christina_Q, Aug 2022
We really enjoyed the sunset tour. You get to see the full Monument Valley and learn about the Navajo culture. Our guide Marjory was great in guiding us through it
Magic location under evaluated by the most
Claudia_C, Aug 2022
Monument Valley is a magic majestic place. Visiting it with a guide like Carol, it was emotional. The stories she told us, explanation, the sense of belonging to such a big tribe Navajo, the sufferance happened during covid time. It was a special tour.m and the colors of the sunset made it scenic. Thanks Carol for your kindness and your ability to drive through all paths with the pickup!
Great trip to amazing place.
Bing_L, Jun 2022
The trip was all I had hoped it would be when I decided to come visit Monument Valley. Our Navaho guide, Larry Team, brought a perspective into the history of this amazing place that could not be obtained from a guide book. Great trip and experience.

The ride was Awesome, and we loved our guide.she very knowledgeable and funny! The whole experience is impressive.
The Sunset Tour in an open air vehicle is fabulous!
Ruthra13, Jun 2022
We stayed at Goulding's Hotel but our tour started at The View Hotel in Monument Valley, Utah. The hotels are only minutes away from each other and situated in the Navajo Nation. We drove over to meet our tour guide at the View Hotel and were charged $8 per person (there were 4 of us) just to enter this part of the Navajo Nation. We did not expect this and felt that we should have been told when we made our reservations. The Sunset Tour of Monument Valley was fantastic and our tour guide, Sandrea, was very, very good. We learned a lot and Sandrea eagerly shared with us many aspects of the lives of Native Americans. This time of day is probably one of the best times to take photographs. We highly recommend this tour. We rode in an open air vehicle and this added to the experience.
Amazing and must do trip .

Our Guide Larry was the best. The tour was unbelievable. Beautiful. Loved the open air jeep. Timing of sunset was perfect.
Do the sunset tour. Magnificent views!
Jim_B, May 2022
We really enjoyed the tour. The wind and blowing sand were an issue but not enough to stop us from this adventure. The tour guide was excellent and we learned a lot. The views of the valley at sunset will stay with me forever.
Great tour. Pick up hours...
David_G, May 2022
Great tour. Pick up hours were very confusing due to mountain time and reservation standard time. Reservation said pickup was 4pm. But, tour guide showed up at 5pm.
Lifetime Experience at the Monument Valley
Thomas_N, Apr 2022
I would have rated this experience excellent if it is not because of the error on the time available for the sunset tour on the Viator site. I selected 3 pm tour but in fact the sunset tour starts at 4:30 pm. We were not notified the error until we arrived for the 3 pm reservation. However, by the chance of another incident of other participants not showing up, we ended up a private tour by our tour guide Larry. He is excellent and was able to semi customize our tour to selected viewpoints on the back roads and walked us to a unique spot to take sunset pictures.
Better than driving yourself
louis_n, Mar 2022
Was able to view areas in back country not available to personal auto. The guide was very knowledgeable and shared Navajo legends and beliefs. The group was small and we made a number of stops to allow for pictures. We were also able to see Navajo homesteads in the area not open to the general public. Guide also shared with us personal photos of the night sky taken in the back country.
