Enjoyed the tour. It would be good if leader would have umbrella or flag so if someone was left behind, that person could see flag and know direction to go to be part of group. This would be especially helpful in crowded areas

Cancels tour less than 24 hours the day before

Tour was cancelled at last minute because the tour guide was just not available, after the confirmation was sent and payment was processed. While this tour operator did schedule me on a replacement tour days later, it really interfered with my Bavaria tour schedule and I was not able to experience the brewpubs that I wanted to experience while in Munich. It would be nice if this tour operator can learn some professionalism and inform itss tourists at least a week in advance of an impending cancellation.

Dear Henry, we appreciate your concern and ideas. Unfortunately this was a last minute cancellation due to guide sickness. This is very much out of control. We contacted you immediately and provided you with alternative options or an immediate full refund. Of course it is inconvenient to your trip. But our guide (or anyones) health is of the upmost importance. Just as when a guest would cancel on the same day of the tour due to sickness. We must be considerate and open to understand these unfortunate and untimely situations can occur in our world.

Our guide Katrina was an expat from Toronto. We had wheat beer with pretzels, döner kebabs and lager, then ice cream and finally a doppelbock. Our only feedback would be to serve the bock earlier in the tour as it was stronger and heavier and we couldn’t finish it all!
