LOVELY DAY TRIP and TOUR
John_T, Jan 2023
Beautiful day at Caserta Royal Palace. This was a lovely day walking around Caserta Royal Palace, sometimes nicknamed the Versailles of Naples. The garden is enormous but has some of the most beautiful statues, ponds, and fountains. The interior is also truly spectacularly beautiful, with 14 rooms to explore. All self-guided but you can do it at your own pace.
Family rooted in these gardens

The gardens are absolutely beautiful and the statues/fountains are incredible. We have amazing photos and memories to share with my family. My great-great grandfather and his brothers helped establish the gardens before immigrating to New York. It was very special for me to walk where they worked. I am disappointed however with the shuttle service. We took the bus out to the waterfall and were told it would only pick us up at the dropoff point. We wanted to see all of the fountains so we started to walk back. We seriously underestimated how far it was back to the castle. We made it half way and knew it would be difficult to make it back. I was in pain so I waved to the bus driver. He would not stop. It took us over an hour to get back, leaving us no time to view any of the palace. I know there were bikes but they weren’t an option. The experience would be much better if there were a few more drop off and pick up points on the shuttle route. It would give everyone the opportunity to see all of the beauty there. Thank you for your time and I hope this helps shine light on a problem that is easy to fix! Also, I would have been happy to share photos but the took too long to load.
Worth visitng, just make sure you have a whatsapp number to keep in touch with the company!

The visit to the Palace was wonderful and really worth it. There were some problems though. The driver was 30 minutes late, I thought he would not turn up. In the end he came, but he dropped us (there were two other people on the same trip) at an outlet, 8 km away from the Palace, which would have taken us 2 hours to get to (on foot or by public transport). Luckily, we kept in touch with the company representative, and she sent the driver back to take us to the right place. When the driver was supposed to pick us up, we were announced that he would be late by half an hour. After talks with the company, they sent another driver, who was really nice and compensated for the mistakes the other one did. Thank you, Inna, for the swift responses and solutions! In the end everything was fine.
A must see

Very beautiful and not to be missed. Take the bus up to the top fountain and walk down. You can stay in the shade along the roadway or walk in the roadway if it is not too hot. A lovely walk with lots of photo ops.

Small group, unguided tour on the grounds
Virginia_M, Oct 2019
We had a picked up our tickets from the tour company & we were instructed on where to walk to get to the bus. The tour company employee was stressed about needing to be in 2 places at once and sent us on our way. The company that operated the bus disputed our reservation at 1st. This created more stress in an already frustrating situation. The driver however manged the stressful traffic well. The staff onsite at the palace didn't process our prepaid tickets correctly and were annoyed when we asked for the audio guides they didn't provide. They argued with us until we saw the Viator page on their desk & pointed at "included audio guide". I wished we would've brought food, because the onsite cafe food was overpriced & terrible. My pizza was heated up in the microwave & I could barely chew it. The view of the castle is beautiful. The gardens & fountains are beautiful, but I wish we would've had a more personalized tour w/ an on-site guide. It's difficult to justify the cost based on the situation we dealt with.
Easy day trip from Naples

Seamless day trip & entrance to amazing royal palace and gardens outside of Naples. If you have extra time in Naples, this is a great alternative!
Vergonzoso el servicio, el palacio precioso
Carmen_P, Jan 2023
Gigi_A, Jul 2022
Bellissimi gli interni anche se "rovinati" a mio parere da una mostra di arte contemporanea che proprio non si poteva vedere accostata ai dipinti e agli arredi della reggia. Fantastici i giardini e le fontane
Fantastica

Complimenti!!!
