Day tour from Rome : We suggest to catch the Freccia Rossa Fast Train from Rome Termini (departure time from Rome 7.35 am) to Naples Centrale (arrival time 8.45 am) and we will pick you up directly from the Naples train station and then.. at the end of the day tour we will drive you back in Naples where you will catch the train back to Rome (suggested train departing from naples at 6.30pm)

Incredible tour of Amalfi Coast and Pompeii!

I booked this tour while honeymooning in Sorento and it is a great way to experience both Pompeii and sightseeing along the Amalfi Coast! We started the day touring Pompeii with Grace, I highly recommend hiring her as a guide if she is available, she is very knowledgeable about the history and layout of the area and truly helped make the experience an unforgettable one. After Pompeii, we started our tour of the Amalfi Coast with John who is friendly, professional, and taught us a lot about the region. In addition to sightseeing in the mountains and along the coast, we stopped for lunch at a cliffside restaurant recommended by John, both the views and food were incredible! Overall it was an amazing experience and I highly recommend it!

Amazing Tour

Our family of 8 (4 adults and 4 teens) had an amazing opportunity to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary (a year late, due to COVID) on an amazing European adventure. A once in a lifetime opportunity for kids, grandkids and parents to all get to spend time in such beautiful countries. One of our stops was the port of Naples. Two sites we were most interested in seeing were Pompeii and Amalfi. Our driver Francesco picked us up promptly in a nice sized vehicle that comfortably fit all 8 of us. Francesco was wonderful. He was so kind and knowledgeable, giving us all kinds of history along the way. He stopped at several different places where we could admire the view and take photos. While it was a long ride to the Amalfi Coast, he made our time spent in the vehicle worthwhile. And Amalfi was worth the trip. It was gorgeous. Francesco recommended an amazing bakery where we got to try his favorite lemon dessert. It did not disappoint. Lemon everything in Amalfi was pure heaven. Just thinking about it now, makes me want to go back. Being limited on time, we chose to spend more time at Amalfi and skip the guided tour of Pompeii. We did go into Pompeii for the experience and when we return with more time, and not in July during a heatwave, we will certainly take the guided tour. Lastly Francesco recommended a wonderful pizza place which we all still rave about. It was a great day with a great guide/driver. If you are looking for a private experience, cruise passenger or not, this is the company to use. You won’t be disappointed.

Amalfi coast is beautiful. Our driver (we did not hire a guide), John, is very knowledgeable about the area. This tour occurred on Sunday, so some stores were not open in the morning we visited. We also went to Pompeii, which encompasses a large area. We only visited a small area around the House of Menander. We were quite impressed. Walking can be a bit difficult. Bring a lot of water, summer afternoon in Pompeii can be brutal.

Our guide, Carmine, took excellent care of us and treated us like royalty. He made great recommendations and even arranged a private tour for us in Pompei (gracetourspompeii@gmail.com) which was terrific! We loved Positano and our guide was right that we probably would have preferred Revello to Amalphi, but I was stubborn so I had to leave Revello for next time. I highly recommend this family business who was so accommodating, flexible and communicative! Do not try to drive the Amalphi Coast on your own! The roads can be tricky and there is no place to park. Having a driver, tour guide, photographer, body guard, coordinator and friend in Carmine was incredible! In a perfect world we would have had a bit more time and would have done Revello, Positano and Sorrento on one day and Pompeii on a separate day, but whether you have just one day to see the highlights or more time at your disposal please know that you could not possibly place yourselves in better hands than by trusting these fine people. Brava!

This private all day tour was truly the highlight of our trip. John picked us up promptly on time right where we agreed upon. Took us through the beautiful mountain towns to Amalfi where we had an hour to see the cathedral, and walk around the charming town. You must try the “Lemon Delight” at Panna bakery and have some lemon sorbet from the shops I. Town. John them took us along the coastline to several stops for pictures and gave us incredible local information during the drive. Next stop was the charming seaside town of Positano for walking around about 90 mins. The shops and scenery are something to remember for sure. Finally John took us to Pompeii where we were greeted by Grace who is an expert about Pompeii and the history of the excavation. Grace also works for this tour company and they offered her service as a private guide thru Pompeii at an additional very reasonable fee. This is my second time to Pompeii and I would always recommend having a private guide because you really do get so much more out of your time at the site. After That John took us to a local specialty fried Pizza …. Just got yummy goodness. If you want a great day at a fair price with the most accommodating and fun guides then this is the one to book.

If you get the chance TAKE THIS TOUR! John and his sister were fantastic! John took us to Amalfi to see the famous bridge then along the coast to see other beautiful cities. We then hired Grace (Johns sister) who took us on this fantastic tour of Pompeii! We truly enjoyed this tour and one of our best tours so far! John picked us up from our cruise port and dropped us back off when it was finished. It couldn’t have been any better.

I highly recommend booking the Pompeii, Amalfi and Positano private tour from Rome. At the time of booking, I immediately had great communication with Rosy. She recommended the perfect fast train schedule for the best full day experience. On the day of our arrival to Naples, we had our amazing guide, Paolo waiting for us to start our magical adventure. He spoke perfect English and had a great sense of hummer “Mama Mia”. Paolo made sure we were comfortable and gave us much history of the sites. This was a plus because he was our driver, and his insight was a bonus to our trip. Paolo also suggested adding Wine tasting to our day, which was a major highlight to our trip. We started our trip down the Amalfi Coast with a stop in Amalfi and Positano. Fiordo di Furore is a must see! Paolo took us to a Family-owned winery at the top of the volcano on Mount Vesuvio called Cantina Del Vesuvio. For all wine lovers, this unique experience is also must. The grapes grow on the soil of the volcanic rock, which produces a unique taste. The wine tasting is also paired with an aperitive, homemade Spaghetti, a delicious homemade pie with a fabulous White Passito Pompeiano sweet wine. Our final stop was Pompeii for a quick look at the lost city archeological site. Paolo got us back to Naples train station in time for our return to Rome. What can I say besides "FAVOLOSO"!! John arrived to get us and wasn't phased in the least when we asked to rearrange a bit of the order of things. My daughter's luggage had been lost on the plane and we asked to go shopping along the coast before doing anything else to ensure we had clothes for her. John not only did that with a smile, but took us to some local clothing stores to avoid the extra expenses often associated with tourist areas! Then, after shopping for a good while, our group decided to forgo the Pompeii trip and instead asked John for recommendations of good places to eat/drink for our remaining time. He obliged and took us out for an AMAZING lunch at a local vineyard right at the bottom of Vesuvius. His willingness to alter things for us on a whim was a real gift after a very long, frustrating day of travel the previous day. Thanks John for showing us your Naples and for putting smiles back on our faces :)

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of the Amalfi coast and Pompeii. The guide was brilliant, friendly and informative. If I was doing it again I would only attempt to do 2 places in a day as the traffic is chaotic on the coast road.

Paulo is the reason why our excursion was so wonderful

When we exited our cruise ship our tour guide (Paulo) was awaiting our arrival. We were escorted to a very comfortable, clean van where we began our trip to the Amalfi Coast. Paulo is so knowledgeable about the area. We were experiencing a bit of rain when we left the ship and the drive on the narrow streets to the coast were a bit fogged in but we never had any concerns because Paulo is a wonderful driver. We were able to spend time in Ravello, Amalfi and Sorrento and did see Postiano, but because one of my companions had limited walking ability Paulo suggested we see and spend time where the walking was less difficult. What a wonderful day, and his lunch suggestion was excellent. Since Pompeii was so big and the walking would be difficult for our one companion so he took us to a free newer part where they are still excavating full of students and teachers studying the ruins. We enjoyed Paulo's company, suggestions and learning about his family and about Naples. Thank you Paulo! You are the best!

We recently went on this tour as an excursion from the Naples port. Francesco was our driver and he was absolutely phenomenal. He gave us great information about the areas we were touring and gave awesome recommendations for restaurants, ensuring we tried the local desserts. We felt like we got to experience so much in such a short amount of time, but never felt rushed. Francesco felt more like a friend than a driver, which speaks to his exceptional customer service. I just want to say how much we loved this tour. Our driver Paulo was so great. We had a comfortable van along with great accommodations with our meals. Paulo knew exactly where to go when it came to the sights, food, and experience. I’m very picky when it comes to booking shore excursions and day tours but am glad I chose this one! This experience was simple from the point of getting off the ship and back on! Definitely book as it saves you a ton of money rather than booking on the ship.

This is a great tour! We were picked up at our Villa in Praiano (which is a HUGE convenience!) by Francesco and driven directly to Pompeii. In Pompeii, we paid Maria for a guided tour (optional but I highly recommend). She was extremely knowledgeable, and Pompeii was amazing. After Pompeii, Francesco continued our tour of the Amalfi Coast - driving us with narrative along the way and stopping for photo opportunities. We stopped in Positano and Amalfi for free time and headed back to Praiano. Great tour. 5 stars.

We had a great tour with Angelo! He is the self proclaimed king of the Amalfi Coast and knows all the great spots to stop at. Angelo was funny, attentive, and made sure that everyone was comfortable the entire trip. The roads to the Amalfi Coast are narrow and windy, and we felt safe with his driving. As 3 women traveling through Italy, we appreciated that Angelo was waiting outside each attraction looking for us. Thank you again Angelo! I would highly recommend this tour!
