Traveler Tips

We made reservations for dinner at Muriel's after our tour and I highly recommend that too, so you can see the table set for the resident ghost that Melissa told us all about!

Perfect for families

Our tour guide Dalvin was great! He was personable and great with the kids. This is a fun way to experience the beauty of the French Quarter as a family. Our kids are 9 and 11 and loved the tour.

Chris was a wonderful guide! He made it engaging for both children and adults and was very personable and knowledgeable. Thank you for a great time!
Kids had fun!
Michelle_K, Oct 2022
The kids really just enjoyed being walked around the quarter. I’m so appreciative of any kid experiences people are willing to offer. We have to have someone to carry on our history. 💕
Family friendly ghost tour

Tour was walkable, plenty of stops to rest and take pictures. We decided on this tour because it left earlier than most and said family friendly. It was and Kim was an excellent guide. She told enthusiastic stories.
Family fun

Mikko was our tour guide. He was great with the kids and added humor. My nine year old loved it. We all had a great time. I would definitely recommend this tour.

Theresa was our guide and she was phenomenal!! She kept the stories PG-13, while not skipping details at each stop!! She was wonderful each time we had to stop for our crazy 3 year old, and really engaged with our older 3 kiddos!! We would absolutely do this tour all over again!!
Family Fun NOLA Style!

The guides helped us to find the meeting spot and told engaging, funny stories. My whole family loved it!
Don’t miss the vampire babies!

Dane was so great! Very patient with the kids. Very engaging. This was a great experience, especially for someone with younger kids. Definitely would recommend. Not only did he give friendlier accounts of some stories while still keeping it spooky, he was aware of the kids tiring out.
Great Family Tour!

We had a very enjoyable tour with our guide Dane. He was very entertaining and provided a great history of the city. The kids were engaged and talked about his stories days after. We ended our tour in front of Muriel's restaurant and had dinner there. It was really cool to be there after hearing the story behind the restaurant. It was very nice to be in a small tour with only our family. It allowed us to go at our own pace and stop frequently for questions and a more personal experience. This was highlighted even more by all the large tour groups passing by that seemed overcrowded and rushed.
Our favorite tour so far.

Dane was an absolute delight and made the history interesting and memorable with his voices and energy. The kids laughed at some of his stories the rest of the night mimicking Dane’s fun explanations. We saw beautiful buildings and heard their dark history. It was perfection- kids 12,10,8 and 3 adults- we all really enjoyed the evening stroll thru the quarter. We couldn’t believe how quickly 2 hours went by. The adults understood the more “adult” topics while the kids eagerly listened on. If you aren’t really into the “ghost” thing this is still perfect for your group you get a good dose of history, humor and spirit. Highly recommend Dane and would absolutely do the tour again. The kids and adults all really enjoyed it.
Good tour especially with kids

Dane was a great guide. Very patient with the young ones and informative for the older ones. It was worth the price & time. Thanks again👍🏻
Educational, slightly spooky, very entertaining

Mikko was a great guide. Very informative and entertaining. He is very well versed in not only the haunted history of Louisiana, but history goibg back as far as the revolutionary War. It was amazing and kid appropriate.

The tour guide had good stories, not really spooky. If you want a long walk around the french quarter then take it.

Loved Mikko, he was entertaining and funny…especially towards the kids! Keeping them involved always so that no one was ever bored or whining about the walking. Would definitely recommend this for anyone with kids still trying to learn more about the history of New Orleans!
Great history for the family

Underwhelming Tour
Mandi_S, Dec 2021
While in NOLA we thought it would be fun to do a ghost tour with our kids. The majority of the reviews of this particular tour were 5 star, and all cited Melissa as a wonderful tour guide. So we were a go. Our guide was not Melissa, but Keynin, who started the tour by telling us he had 3 rules, one of which was to lower our expectations of what this tour would be so that we wouldn’t be disappointed. Who does that? Our tour was our family plus another one, with a total of 3 kids who were very intellectually curious. Keynin’s story telling style was a bit disjointed. He would start sentences and then say, “no, I’m not going to tell that story to you all” and then kept the tour moving which left us all feeling as though he was either leaving parts out or couldn’t remember certain aspects of the stories. It was bizarre. The other family commented on the same thing. Half way thru the tour there is an unannounced stop at the oldest bar in the south. And while that would have been fine, if it was an adults only tour, the kids weren’t allowed in the bar and there wasn’t another place for us to go, so we all just waited outside for 10 minutes for Keynin to take his break. This felt quite uncomfortable and unprofessional. As a tour guide, you should really know your audience. At the end of the tour, Keynin tells us that he accepts tips. As I am handing money to my husband, he sees it and stops mid sentence looking at us - again quite uncomfortable. We laughed about this all the way back to our hotel, so I guess there’s that. The stories weren’t scary or interesting, the kids were able to poke holes thru much of them and Keynin want able to answer many of their questions which left them feeling frustrated. I would not recommend this tour, maybe if you get Melissa, but the tour we went on left a lot to be desired.
Great Spooky family tour

As a family with 4 younger children this tour was perfect for getting a family friendly little glimpse of the spooky history that New Orleans is known for. My kids were nervous for this at first, but our guide Melissa had them warmed up right away and was very friendly.
