What To Expect

Your rendezvous with the sights and spirits of New Orleans begins in the French Quarter. Hop aboard your air-conditioned coach for a comprehensive city tour.

As you ride through the French Quarter, admire the sights, smells and sounds of the city’s cultural hub, where Spanish, French, Creole, and American styles commingle in an enchanting setting.

Visit a historic cemetery, where you'll hop off the coach and learn of the city's unique above-ground burial traditions from inside the gates.

See Jackson Square, an honorary landmark to New Orleans’ war hero Andrew Jackson. Pass by Louisiana’s Cabildo and Presbytere museums and the Pontalba Apartments, the oldest apartment buildings in the United States! Pass by the square’s historic open‐air artist colony as you make your way to St. Louis Cemetery No. 3, one of New Orleans’ famous ‘Cities of the Dead’ to experience the bewitching and spectacular mausoleum system. Hear of piracy and voodoo on Bayou St John, a known pirate waterway and the reputed location of voodoo rituals by the infamous Marie Laveau. Then return to town along the world‐famous St Charles Streetcar route, passing through the extravagant Garden District. Snap photos of opulent mansions that served as former residences for the kings and queens of Mardi Gras, admire the beauty of Tulane and Loyola Universities, and see the acclaimed Audubon Zoo. You'll have time for a self-guided tour of the Besthoff Sculpture Garden, plus a stop at Cafe du Monde for their famous beignets or other refreshments (own expense.)

Jane the guide and Kendrell the driver were very good. Jane had a lot of knowledge but didn’t drag it out. For me the frustrating thing was I feel I sat on the wrong side of the bus as most of the sights were on the right side and I was sitting on the left. But I guess every one can’t sit on one side. But the places we saw were great!
Response from Host, Nov 2022
Thank you for the 5 bubble review. We will mention your note to Jane and Kindrell.
Good tour at a great price

Gail was very knowledgeable we enjoyed our tour of the city. It was nice not having to drive myself and I could look around at the sites when sitting in a comfortable air conditioned bus. Just wish we walked around the cemetery more.
Response from Host, Oct 2022
Glad you enjoyed the tour with Gail. And must agree that the cemeteries are fascinating.

Unfortunately our tour was cancelled late the night before so we didn’t get to do the tour. They offered an alternative for the day after but we were coming home that day. Very disappointed as has this booked for ages
Response from Host, Aug 2022
Although not knowing the date of your tour I am certain they had cause, and would like to have accommodated you with an alternative.

No politics
Cynthia_F, Jan 2022

Response from Host, May 2022

Jim (with one M) was a great tour guide. More than a tour guide, he was an educator and you can tell he was passionate about making sure visitors understood the history, the real history, of NOLA’s cemeteries. 100% recommend him!
